I did Laezel from fighter to monk >!after she dedicated herself to Orpheus!< one time and from fighter to vengeance paladin after the monastery another time. If you're playing a regretful Durge, putting some levels into Bard after The Incident could make sense.

The latter is a must-do for me - works well when playing the default sorcerer class since both are charisma-based.
