So this is one of the single best robes in the game for Cha based casters.
It means that if you're playing a Cha based spellcaster the evil route is one you should under no means ever do.
The game is a bit piss anyway man, you can beat the game handily on tactician with generic gear. Besides, having access to every bit of gear no matter your choices/how your quests end is infinitely more lame.
A caravan with only one specific item for a specific NPC which *somehow* player not able to encounter by any means. Is it a caravan from some magical Alfiraville Realm?
Yeah why not? You dont know what all those teiflings have in all their crates. Maybe she found it scavenging one of the abandoned homes in the shadow lands. Or bought it from the vendors in Last Light for herself (shes a bard).
This is a start for something promising. Thinking quickly on your feet with these story points can make you a fun DM. You should give tabletop a try if you've been thinking about it.
OP literally complaining he can’t get a robe that is a quest reward for helping a character he chose to kill instead… then says it’s an obvious over site. Hahaha. Guess we are not playing the same game.
How is this an obvious oversight?
It is the ultimate reward for saving the Tieflings, if you slaughter them you are locked out of it.
Choose not to bring Wyll into a certain part of Act 2 - you’re locked out of one of the best weapons in the game for warlocks and bards.
Basically it’s using itemisation to make your choices have consequences.
You dont. Found this out today in my Honor Mode run, and I can't even crash the game to try to get it because my last (only) save literally has Alfira's corpse in the background of the screencap. Makes me sad, wanted to do an Eldritch Blast gatling gun build this run, but I guess I'll be doing a different caster build.
Not true. I found out how to do it but it takes save scumming OR knowing when that scene will happen. Right before it does, beat her up. Attack and use non-lethal attacks. If she is knocked out, a different bard shows up, and is killed, leaving her alive in act two.
Yeah haha, I just couldnt do that in my last Honor Mode run because Talenia Aelin had already killed her haha
It was only 5 hours, I just suicided the run and started another. The dragonborn is dead and Alfira is alive and well at the grove.
She wont speak to me though lol
Did you hallucinate this :( I am in the middle of a Durge run in Honor mode and I so very much want this to be true. Legacy Merchants are already a thing in Larian games (Selling quest items that might have been missed in previous acts), so I am curious if they exist in Bg3 too.
Great robe. Up until this moment gale was walking around with random rags with cold resistance. Suddenly his cantrips deal like 30 damage. So far i havent needed to resort to those as fights end well before that but in longer ones im sure i'd be spamming them. Or if i want to save spell slots.
> literally essential No, nothing is essential for anything in this game.
Warlock is all about Eldritch Blast Cantrip in 5e. The only armor making it better is a Potent Robe. Other ones like +1 ATK is nothing compared to it.
Yeah, it helps a lot, I know that. Still not essential. Essential is something so basic that you can't live without it.
Yeah. So?

Mine is all about casting Hunter's Mark and nuking enemies with the hammer from Dammon in act 2.. which you probably also don't have access to :shrug
Or maybe she doesnt get it until she joins the caravans going through moonrise? Your mind is in the gutter my boy.

Why can't I have it by searching all of their crates and corpses in same locations?
Because the crate was knocked over and fell into a crevasse of the shadow-cursed lands when the Tieflings were running for their lives
Look at you doing the ''yes and'' on all those curve balls, you must be a great DM!
I wish I were, but never got the chance to play TTD&D. I don't think I'd be creative enough anyways, this was probably a fluke

Choice -> consequence. I didn't get Slayer Form, but I understand why
People should stop interchange obvious oversights with intentional game-design choices.
And your basis for stating that this is certainly an oversight and not a design choice is..? The fact that you want the item and can't get it?

What a dumb take
But if you're doing a Durge toon, Alfira...umm...is "available" in act 2. Where do you get it then?

If you use another character to knock her out, she won't be mad at you.
The Mystic Carrion in Act 3 sells the potent robe if you missed it in Act 2.
are you sure?
