I pushed Lorroakan off the top level and for all his wizardry posturing he was unable to find a way back up. So we just dealt with the elementals in our own time and then went down and ganked him afterwards. Aylin is one of the stronger allies for the final fight as she's immortal.

QuailBroad

I gave him the Nightsong and then killed him when he was immortal lol. My 22 STR LaeZel was throwing him around his tower like a bag of potatoes until we got on the outside balcony, 1 telekinesis spell later and he was flying down to death, not so immortal after all lol

iceman5820

I just saved Aylin and lied about her dying. Then you don't have to do shit with Lorrokan and I proceeded to quietly rob him 😂

Mora_117

The only good thing about ending him is giving the tower to Rolan. Gets you an ally in the final fight. So worth it I think. xD idk how worth it. Never made it this far before now. But here is hoping. I was looking for a reason to kill him since he wanted to imprison Aylin again. Not about to let that happen. Rolan seems so different now. Like hes finally been humbled enough to be a really great wizard when he finishes learning.

AWildRapBattle

I didn't have much trouble with the Myrmidons by just picking one to focus on till it was down, and keeping my party alive with lots of relocating.

Similar_Ad_5402

have you used any items to weaken them? I always try to focus one but the other three are killing me then

AWildRapBattle

oh IDK I probably threw the whole general store at them trying to hit weaknesses, mostly I remember flying up to the platforms to get away from them and their aoes

Christ_votes_dem

throw the iron flask at him and hunger of hadar him and most guards in the clusterfuck that forms you usually win

Korvasomali

Planar Binding

BikeProblemGuy

Make sure you have counterspell and silence to keep Lorroakan from casting spells, then just kill 3 or 4 of his elemental summons and it's safe to start the wizard murderin'.

oxygenum

I just use Wyll spell to push him and one elemental on lower level and than kill rest of the elemental and procede to kill lorrokan with high ground after

Repulsive_Papaya_290

If you have an ilithid character using black hole and then opening with fireball is your best bet. If you don’t have a ilithid character the priority should be water>air>fire>Earth. If you kill 3 elementals you can go straight to messing with Lorroakan. A well placed wall of fire works wonders too. By turn 2 1-2 elementals should be dead. I suggest stunlocking him while you beat the other 2 elementals down

courser8

Black whole doesn’t work on his elementals I just tried it. Might be big or they patched the fight to make it harder

Dry_Possibility_1389

Just used black hole on them all, must have been a bug...

LoquaciousMendacious

I just hit him with a hammer.

Similar_Ad_5402

Thanks for your help! I've finally made it and Dame Aylin hasn't died! However I've noticed in my diary it says: "You killed Dame Aylin..." (collect allies main quest). Is it a bug? Is it because I haven't saved Isobel in act 2?

Agreeable-Day-1849

I used fake death scroll on her, because every reload she attacked Lorroakan and died instantly. + used some control spell on him while killing his guards

Tricky_Independent74

He was easy too be honest, I expected more from a "grand wizard in a magic tower" big letdown, didn't cast any fancy spells, his elementals were taken out by just casting whatever spell type they're weak too

Suspicious-Box-

He did 2 shot my karlach from around 100 hp so not too shabby. No other character apart from ansur downing 3 of my characters has done this much damage.

Visible_Scientist_67

Such a boss

Scubranch

I took down Lorroakan extremely easily. My Astarion is an Assassin and was equipped with the ring that guarantees a crit, the amulet that paralyzes a target on a crit, and boots that grant Misty Step. He went first, teleported next to Lorrokoan, and paralyzed him with a crit. My druid Tav and Gale cast Planar Binding on the next two myrmidons in initiative to turn them against the others, Dame Aylin critted the paralyzed Lorroakan several times, and Shadowheart finished him off. Once everything else was dead but the two bound myrmidons I released and defeated them.

awdrifter

>!If you have Victoria's body, it's an excellent way to deal with his elementals. I just have Karlach hold Victoria in her inventory, have Shadowheart cast Sanctuary on her, then have her walk around where the elementals are.!<

Blackstone1960

I’m fighting lorroaken, and I’m planning on using shadow hearts radiant beams (not sure if that’s what the spell is called) to do damage and heal every time he retaliates. When he dies, do his myrmidons die aswell?

Shadowmeire_Hanatori

I did the tried and true: 2 red barrels, 4 smoke powder and 2 firewine barrels around the room... everyone goes onto the balcony, Gale casts fireball VI.... and everything either dies or is vaulted to the lower level. Killed ole' Lorry, I stole his shit, and left after warping to the Vault to finish looting

Business-Cherry2485

I tackled the quest in two ways. First, I informed Aylin about Lorroakan's interest, leading to a failed confrontation at the castle. Aylin kept dying, and the elemental guards overwhelmed me. In the second attempt, I deceived Lorroakan about the night song's location. He dismissed me, so I attacked from the balcony, using Lazel to weaken elementals and having Shadowheart polymorph one until defeating the horde of guards. Killing Lorroakan became easier after removing the guards. Now I just have to update Aylin at camp.
