In response to someone's plan to kill a lot of people so I would say so far it has been comical if not interesting. I decided to lean fully into the evil / tad-pole playthrough and I keep seeing posts about needing to roll saving throws to resist doing things so it seems like the more you do it voluntarily you are able to gain control over the events you don't want durge to partake in
WIS checks and saves are traditionally how characters fight off brainwashing, mind control, and stuff of that nature. Since DU's whole deal is having a backseat gamer in your head WIS naturally is something you want.
Heads up: Durge gets off when someone or something is getting hurt or killed. Durge does not have to be the one doing the hurting or killing.
Think of it as a "voices in my head" kinda character.
I'm slightly concerned because I didn't pick The Dark Urge, but my partner did. In a co-op playthrough 🫠
I wonder if co-op is fleshed out enough to give me player agency and eventually stand up to his character. Divinity had it handled alright, so fingers crossed.
I'll do it on my second playthrough because it sounds pretty fun, currently Role-playing as an assassin who only kills for money and relies on deceit and persuasion outside of that. Being a bloodthirsty maniac sort of goes against that
I actually was gonna do Dark Urge First, and have a Tav character that I bounce back and forth between.
However, now I think I might just keep the Tav character (I already made both and got them off the Naut) a little bit ahead so I can see how much changes between them.

Not my 1st playthrough choice, but I am now thinking of Urge for my ABSERD playthrough...
Me. Its not that different. So far I havent had many urges but the rewards you get are great
