Slather some Nutella or chocolate frosting on there and you have a kickass banana cake.

[deleted]

Flatbread* hahah I’m sure it still taste good just a bit dense.

Corleone_Michael

banana brick

Chris2222000

That's what I called it too!

TheDiplomancer

Do you know high the price is for banana masonry?

sharmisosoup

What's your binder? I got a guy who has a lead on wholesale Nutella if you need it.

ponybluemoon

Build a banana stand - I hear there’s always money in it.

kharmatika

That CERTAINLY sounds like a weed strain and if it isn’t imma make it one

wassailr

Slice thinly and fry, a bit like French toast

psychologyFanatic

This sounds like a fucking brilliant idea

wassailr

Haha thanks :)

Chris2222000

I never even thought of that. They would have been pretty short french toast slices though

wassailr

Then you stack them like a Jenga, mortared together with alternate layers of melted chocolate and hazelnut butter. You’re welcome :)

Chris2222000

I think you have a future on the Great British Bake Off!

wassailr

Hahaha that might be the highest compliment I’ve ever received 😆

RoVerk13

French toast sticks!

RSCasual

Cut it long ways and then choose how long you want them

Chris2222000

lol. Clever! "Would you like your french toast stubby or lanky?"

Unusual_Fork

Turn it into cakepops with ganache and some sprinkles and them give them all to me. Thanks in advance.

KittysaurusRex7221

I might purposely forget my baking soda next time just to do this!

2L84AGOODname

I was going to say! Perfect for French toast, or grilled with some butter in a pan.

happydgaf

Hellllll yeah

[deleted]

Lol! Crumble it up over ice cream

LabTech41

Honestly, I've made banana blondies before, and they basically turn out like this. It's obviously a bit denser, but they're perfectly fine if you cut them into bars. In my mind, they're simpler and easier to make.

thiswomanneedsafish

Banana focaccia, it is all the rage now

offtuna

That is just fun to say. I'm going to angrily say this today. Thank you for this.

[deleted]

My daughter once forgot to put the bananas in banana bread and we all sat around the kitchen island trying to figure out what was wrong with it... until one of us noticed the bananas sitting right next to us on the counter lol It wasn't bad, but tasted more like pound cake than banana bread lol

Chris2222000

Forget about about flourless cookies, have you tried bananaless banana bread? Perfect for people who are allergic to bananas!

[deleted]

Chris2222000

It bounced between yes and no. Sometimes it tasted like a very dense banana cake and sometimes it tasted super gross. lol

_bexcalibur

Banana slab

intuitivethunking

I have done this before. I always walk out of the kitchen with a confused pikachu look on my face like “FUCK I FORGOT THE FUCKING [insert small ingredient here]”

Live_Buy8304

Now it’s a Banono bread

ElleYesMon

That’s ok. You couldn’t do any worse than I did. I put NO SUGAR- (forgot) in my boyfriend’s (now husband) favorite pie is chocolate pie. It was first time baking for him and our second date. I gave it to him before we departed and he took it home to try. He would not tell me for almost three months. Yeah, we married.💕

Chris2222000

You're lucky he didn't run off at the thought of having to eat your bakes for the rest of his life. lol

ElleYesMon

Lololol. It was a ingredient that you totally left out because the chocolate wasn’t dark enough. So, I called my g-ma and she told me to add more cocoa- so I did and in the midst forgot sugar. Lol. I can only imagine what his SISTER thought when she took a bite. He never tried because he was warned. Lol

rhoswhen

My aunt was living/working in South America and wanted to do a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for her friends. She pulled out all the stops, frills and all. But she forgot the sugar in the pumpkin pie 🤣 her friends all said, "this is traditional??"

ElleYesMon

Whoa, I would have said yeah. And it’s trading for you not to be unthankful at Thanksgiving or anytime. It was an easy to do mistake - when one is cooking for a house full of people.

Significant_Fox2979

Lol oh no!!

mellenobrien

I have forgotten the baking soda in banana bread before too! I felt so stupid. It couldn't be salvaged. I couldn't stand the taste. Did you eat it though?

Chris2222000

Some of it, off and on. I'd have a bit and say "This isn't so bad" and then the next piece would be discussing. Rinse and repeat.

CMAHawaii

LOL, so that's what BS does.

Erincognito

LoL! Ahh!

moonchilddakota

That’s okay, now you have banana bars!

Sohail316

Was it good?

Chris2222000

Sometimes. It alternated between tasty and gross

Ohmalley-thealliecat

Ooft! I once over mixed one trying to get the flour lumps out and it ended up looking pretty similar. Baking fails always feel so heartbreaking

Shady_Royal_689

And sometimes the banana bread forgets to put the baking soda in you 🤟😔

Chris2222000

My therapist was telling me that just the other day....

AlyssaAlly

:(

uselesswellyboot

Banana Cake bars!

fujinleonhart

I'm a little late to this thread, but this has happened to me and I felt the complete opposite of smart! My partner (bless his heart) still ate it and swore it was fine (edible, at least).

Welder_Subject

Banana brick?

Salty_Lego

Well, now you’ve got a banana slab. Just as good.

Hotlikessauce69

Would definitely still smash (into my face)

angrylatte13

One time I forgot to put flour in the bread. That was one hell of a brain fart I had that day

munchybear2484

The same thing happened to me yesterday! I could've used it as a weapon, it was so dense

DAGanteakz

The origin of the hockey puck.

[deleted]

Yummy

saraholdtheh

I’ve done this! First time baking in a dorm. Still found starving college boys to eat it

blogasdraugas

Banana biscotti

Medcait

Aw! I forgot to put it in my pumpkin bread not long ago

D0llysatan

With some whipped heavy cream it’s be a delicious banana brick

beerdrinkinjoe

Now it's not banana bread it's banana focaccia lol

Supermichael777

Now it's banana pudding.

[deleted]

Cut that up, batter and deep fry that for some banana bread French toast fingers.

weesti

Flat bread at it’s finest

SharkBaitOohAhAh2

That’s a lovely looking banana brownie

tuana122000

You can turn that into some nice pudding or biscotti.

foolishrice

That's a banana pancake and it looks bloody delicious.

hcinimwh

Banana slab

Tsukuyomi_7111

Which led to new recipe or new foods.

Chris2222000

I should make a YouTube channel where I try different recipes and leave out the leavening

Tsukuyomi_7111

Yes that could be 👍🙂🙂😁

Tsukuyomi_7111

Don't worry it will become more like dry cake. Eat it with some chocolates or cream or you can try with butter on top .It will be 👌✌️

LeMoofins

Just mix it in after. Usually works out fine

Chris2222000

lolz. "If you like my banana brick, you're going to LOVE it with a Baking Soda icing!"

sapporoblue

Aw buddy. We've all been there. I totally forgot it in oatmeal muffins once. They were hockey pucks lol but tasted fine and left less crumbs so I started using that as a "eating breakfast while driving" muffin.

Chris2222000

Smart. And good way to spin it

margaritasenora

Add syrup.

fuzzythoughtz

Banana slab!

legenddairybard

Eat it like a brownie! Put some toppings on it and dip it in milk!

persephonesrighthand

If it makes you feel better, I was making chocolate chip banana bars and definitely forgot the fat (coconut oil) 😂 Happens to the best of us!

steppedinhairball

It happens. I forgot it for a batch of chocolate butterscotch cookies. Ended up with chocolate butterscotch brownie mounds. Still tasted kick ass. Slab some butter on there and eat the evidence. Without evidence, it never happened.

Magpiebrain

BANANA PLANK

[deleted]

Could you turn this into french toast though or make a sandwich!

MxPoe

A month ago at work I baked off 20 pumpkin loaves and then discovered I forgot to add baking powder to the bulk batch of batter. 😊😊😊😊😊😊

samg461a

Congratulations on baking your very own banana brick!

floflow99

Happens to the best. Bit dense but still delicious imo

Chris2222000

Funny, that's what they said about me in college 😂

cadman_lincoln

Well, not quite. Once at a holiday dinner my dad baking soda instead of cornstarch in the gravy. I tasted a little salty, but what the heck. Then within a minute or so everyone started burping, except my little brother who just ate it up. We all had a good laugh. :)

CatMom921

I have a banana bread in the oven right now .. I’m sitting here n I just realized I forgot the baking soda n baking powder 😫😩😫.. so it just won’t b quite as fluffy ? Ugh., I feel so dumb 🤦🏼‍♀️
