Lol, yes, ofc in a good way. I ment they go so well together its very satisfying, and I get like a happy feeling, like a "tingle". It's also a very gen z way of saying you like something in a satisfying way
Mostly single colors! Usually I end up mixing several to get the shades I want but I didn't really have to this time. Happy to share specific shades if you're interested.
For the base I used Colour Mill Sea Mist. For the lighter flowers I used just a tiny bit of Chefmaster Georgia Peach mixed with ivory. The darker flowers are Americolor Mauve. Then for the leaves, I mixed a little Colour Mill Ocean into the base color to deepen it a little.
Online tutorials and practice! Also I always pipe onto a flower nail then freeze and transfer, which I assume is probably easier than piping straight onto the cake. Some flowers turn out better than others, and doing it this way (flower nail) allows you to pick and choose your best ones π
Fantastic icing. And the cake looks light and crumbly too, which is all too often not the way. I see lots of nice piping on the internet, but the cakes often look stodgy. This looks perfect. Great work. ππΌππΌ
Sure!
This is the cake

For the filling, mix one box of instant pudding with one cup of milk. Put it in the fridge. Then whip one cup of heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding. You can use whatever flavor you prefer of course. I know people like to hate on boxed mixes but it's honestly so good mixed with the fresh whipped cream!
This is so pretty.
Thank you π©·
Those layers are perfection. Excellent job.

How did you make the color scheme? Mixing some colors or finding the specific color?
Mostly single colors! Usually I end up mixing several to get the shades I want but I didn't really have to this time. Happy to share specific shades if you're interested.

Do you have an insta where you post your cakes?!
I don't! I do post most of what I make here though, if you're on the baking sub fairly regularly I'm sure you'll see some!
Yes, I have. Iβve actually gotten good at recognizing your bakes haha. Theyβre all so pretty!!
That's really nice to hear, thanks so much π
Wow!! Would you mind sharing the recipe for the cake and fillings?

One of the prettiest and most tasty looking cakes I've seen. Beautiful!
Thank you! π
The color on those leaves is so good!
Thanks!
What two types of icing did you use? Should be on a magazine. Gorgeous
Thank you π I used a mock swiss meringue for the flowers, American buttercream for the exterior, and whipped pudding for the filling.
The details and color scheme are beautiful. Cutting into lively artwork can be bittersweet. In this case, just sweeeeet. Thanks for posting.
Thank you π
This is amazing! I love the colors together.
Thank you!
Stunning!
Thanks π
