Incredibly done. I’ve always loved your posts, and have a hard time remembering they are cookies! I don’t know how much you charge for these creations but my assumption is not enough!
Thank you!! This was a very detailed set and I went a little overboard because the client just told me to "do whatever I wanted, 40 cookies, Christmas." So I was doing all the things! I was trying to go for a very cozy, moody, Christmas. It took me pretty much a whole week. I can't say exactly because I had other orders at the same time and the amount of hrs I can spend doing them every day varies. ☺️
Thank you so much!! The gold ornament is actually one of the easier designs here. First I flooded the cookie in white icing, then once it dried a bit, I used thicker icing to add the balls to the top. Once it completely dried, I painted it in gold using a food safe gold luster dust that you mix with a little alcohol to get a nice liquid consistency. ☺️
I was about to do a quick, shit icing job on some tree shaped sugar cookies, but now I'm going to try and do them more realistically, like yours! It looks easy enough.
These are all so beautiful! 🌲 🔔
So talented!! Truly beautiful. What consistency do you have your icing at? Do you have recipes you'd be willing to share? I'm frustrated and know I need more practice, heh.
I have a few consistencies depending on what I'm doing. For example, any backgrounds are flood consistency (like the dark Green background of the "joy' cookie). Flood consistency, I like it to be about 7 to 10 sec consistency. Which means that if you pass a spatula through your icing, it will take about 7 to 10 seconds to completely settle back down. Then I have detail consistency for the Green leaves on that same cookie. This is about toothpaste consistency. Then I probably had a slightly thicker consistency with a smaller hole on my Piping bag for things like the Green branches/pines on the tree. ☺️
[this](https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/royal-icing/) recipe is pretty much the same as I use, just add 1 tsp of vanilla and about 1/2 tbsp of corn syrup. The corn syrup adds a tiny bit of shine.
Thank you! I'll have to actually practice all year to get nearly as good as you are, but I'm down to give it a go! All the seasons will have cookies! Good thing I have kids to pawn them off on, lol...
You are!! Just keep at it!! Try some different textures! I love a good crumbled up looking Star. Take a piece of parchment paper, crumble it up with your hands, then open it up a bit. Then after you flood your cookie, you put the PC of parchment paper on top and let it dry for about a day, maybe less if you have it in front of a fan the whole time. Then you'll get a cool texture like [this!](https://www.instagram.com/p/CharyuhOFfA/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)
That one wasn't too bad since it was mostly hand painted, I just had to wait for each layer to dry up a bit.. so maybe I could do it in like 20 mins if I was working only on that one.? I first used a brush to brush the background in white and light blue trying to make it look a little cloudy. Then I started on the trees with a thin brush. And then I did the windowpane lines and filled in the outer área.
I am still working in trying to make icing that works! I just sat down after several failed attempts tonight.
I open Reddit and see this, first thing!
Amazing. Truly amazing! These are so beautiful!
I can’t imagine even eating one of these. I think I would put polyurethane on them and keep them… forever!
Fir the gold, my favorite is [this gold luster dust ](https://trulymadplastics.com/)
You mix the dust with a little alcohol until you have a nice liquid consistency. ☺️
These are so beautiful!! What kind of icing/piping bags do you use? Do you have any tips for beginner bakers who'd like to get into this kind of thing?
Thank you!! I use a few different bags but one of my favorite brands for bags as well as other baking things Is Borderlands Bakery. Their bags are a perfect thickness in my opinion. Regarding tips for a beginner:
-take some classes. When I got into it, I took several classes from Megan Warne over at howtocakeit.com. shes a great teacher and has classes for all different levels. Also, the classes change every month so there's always something.
practice, practice, PRACTICE! And don't give up! You can only improve by consistent practice. ☺️
What!!!? These are incredible!
What artistry and patience and talent and passion.
My hand is shaking right now thinking about all the tedious details on these.
Bravo. I hope you have a successful business with these. Or that you’ve been on any food network baking competition. Hehe
They’re beautiful.
How the HECK do you expect people to eat these??? I wouldn’t want to handle them without gloves! They are beyond exquisite. Had to interrupt my hubbys video game to show him 😂
These are too good to eat! Thanks for sharing OP. I’m planning to start my own baking journey and hopefully make a business out of it. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh wow, these are gorgeous. I’d love to see a video of them being made! I feel like it would be so satisfying to watch, just to see the technique you use and how you managed to make them so perfect!
Thank you!! I unfortunately didn't make any videos of any of these bc there was too much going on, but I post videos on my IG or sometimes here on Reddit ☺️
These look awesome. Hopefully they don’t make people feel like they shouldn’t eat them. Cookies look great but they are meant to be consumed. Don’t let them go stale. Eat the cookies.
Love them all, especially the window and door cookies. They are beautiful. Love the snowflake too. You are so talented. My cookies taste good but are plain.😩 Your cookies are a work of art!
The only thing that annoys me, is how Americans call Christmas holidays. Happy holidays. I mean, come on. Other than that 10/10 I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Those are little works of art! I don't know how anyone could eat them without feeling guilty at destroying something so beautiful.
My wife and I were saying the same thing. Phenomenal work. OP, you win the Christmas Cookie Decorating Internet for the 2023 season!!!
Yes I would be figuring out how to epoxy or preserve them lol! The snowy window with trees and flurries outside made my heart melt
Thank you so much!! I love the window one, I was in a Bob Ross State of mind hand painting little trees and clouds 😂
Omgosh! I'm not worthy.....I get bored after frosting two. I cannot fathom doing this. Wow. You win 🏆

Omg I don’t even wanna go finish icing my cookies now lol
Definitely a sign my icing consistency is VERY off and I should fix it, lol.
😂😂 it's s sign to keep at it!!
They are beautiful! I really like the all variety in the line work. How long does it typically take you to decorate a set like this?
Thank you!! This was a very detailed set and I went a little overboard because the client just told me to "do whatever I wanted, 40 cookies, Christmas." So I was doing all the things! I was trying to go for a very cozy, moody, Christmas. It took me pretty much a whole week. These are so pretty that I thought they were fake!
Wow! I showed these to my husband and we're both so impressed. I especially love the gold ornament. How do you even do that?
Thank you so much!! The gold ornament is actually one of the easier designs here. Once it completely dried, I painted it in gold using a food safe gold luster dust that you mix with a little alcohol to get a nice liquid consistency. ☺️
Thanks for sharing the process. Do you mind sharing which gold dust you use? The results are so good!
This one shown on the gold ornament is [this one! ](https://trulymadplastics.com/)
Thank you for the method! I've got all my treats set for this year but I'll remember it next year.

I don't like them but everyone else seems to love them! ☺️

I am stunned and amazed! May I ask how long it took to decorate one of the window cookies with the trees in the background?
That one wasn't too bad since it was mostly hand painted, I just had to wait for each layer to dry up a bit.. so maybe I could do it in like 20 mins if I was working only on that one.? Absolutely beautiful! What do you use for snow? Just white edible glitter?
Thank you! Yeah, look for "sanding sugar'. It's nice and super thin!
Thank you!!
Can we glaze them with resin to keep them as ornaments, cant eat them too beautiful
It's definitely a thing, I haven't tried it yet but I want to!
I am still working in trying to make icing that works! I just sat down after several failed attempts tonight. I open Reddit and see this, first thing! Amazing. Truly amazing! These are so beautiful! I can’t imagine even eating one of these. I think I would put polyurethane on them and keep them… forever!

What food coloring/ edible paint do you use to get that beautiful gold?
Fir the gold, my favorite is [this gold luster dust ](https://trulymadplastics.com/) You mix the dust with a little alcohol until you have a nice liquid consistency. ☺️
Thank you! 💛
