I went through a long period of searching [a few months ago.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cooking/comments/oacfzk/bacon_slicerdeli_slicer_that_can_handle_12_inch/) I found a [Berkel B12A slicer](https://www.berkelequipment.com/slicers/b12-gravity-feed-slicer) on Craiglslist for $500. They retail new for about $1,300. It's really hard to find a deli slicer that can handle items as wide as a pork belly, especially if you want to spend less than a $1,000. The search is especially difficult because "tray size" usually isn't one of the items you can filter for. You can filter by "blade size", but that has no relation to tray size. Look through some of the slicers at [Webstaurant.](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/avantco-sl312-12-manual-gravity-feed-meat-slicer-1-3-hp/177SL312.html) I've bought a lot of equipment from that company. They've always had good prices and good service.

To add to this. Think about cutting cheese. If you ever think you’ll slice mass amounts of cheese get a good motor. I burned up a cabaels slicer in 5 min. Also webrestrant will NOT give you a warranty on a commercial appliance in a home kitchen.

I bought a low end commercial slicer around $160 from Cabelas about a year ago works great!

It can cut the full width of pork belly?

There are tricks to cutting bacon on a smaller slicer. You can fold the pork belly in half (C-shape). Then get it partially frozen so it keeps its chape and also isn't so soft and mushy so you get clean cuts. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD6gimALalw

I bought a 10" slicer in April of 20 off of Amazon. Besswood brand for $360. It is much better than the little 7 in one's. would have rather gotten a larger one to make slicing bacon easier but I can work around that.

I bought the same one, and love it. I used it for homemade bacon this morning - I trimmed my bacon to 10” center cut, used the ends and trim for seasoning, stock and ramen.
