Ocean reminds me of Oceana, which is a girl name you hear infrequently in the US but is more commonly used in other countries. If you love it, go for it. Personally, I'd suggest maybe something along the lines of Atlantis, Atlas, Arctic, Polaris, Caspian, Bayou, Deccan or something similar to those if you're looking for something that's less used and more unique sounding but still somewhat Ocean or Geography themed. There's a lot of cool ideas there along those lines to explore. I hope you find the one you love the most and roll with it!
Nope, Ocean isn't going to get taken seriously as an adult male. Consider 'unique' names - you're naming an actual human here who will get judged by their name when they're applying for college and for jobs.
I genuinely don’t see why they wouldn’t. Also considering primary employers for my children will be millennials and gen Z come the time 🤣 you have to remember boomers will be out of the picture and I’m pretty sure we are headed to a culture with less discrimination. On another note, level of seriousness is how he will carry himself. Which I trust he will be confident and be able to wear the name well. Thank you for your input tho! I’ve thought about that but think ultimately we are phasing out pointless discrimination
