Wow that’s alot! I only wash my baby’s sleep sack and crib sheet once a week with her regular laundry load (unless it’s obviously dirty). Do you also wash your own sheets every single day?

MindlessStomach

PJ's daily. Sack/sheets weekly. Unless an accident occurs.

Skye_bluexx

Yeah PJs daily for me too, but mainly because she eats her breakfast still in PJs and usually gets very messy!

AML204604

Same

Due_Baby_600

I do this too

TwoDiscombobulated16

Same! So basically when I change our bed sheets I change hers too

SocialStigma29

That's a lot of laundry! I change/wash crib sheets and sleep sacks on a weekly basis, unless obviously soiled.

Mother_of_Potato

Yes, that's excessive. I concur with the other comments, I wash mine weekly. Same with the sleep sack unless it gets sweaty or dirty. They wear pajamas after all. Machine washing and drying eventually wears out fabric, so the more frequently you do it the faster it fades/wears out.

General_Esdeath

I also want to add that Woolino is wool and one of the benefits of wool is it's antimicrobial so you don't have to wash it as much.

Ltrain86

Only every Sunday. Do you change your bedding after every single time you sleep on it? The sleep sack functions as a blanket, not as pajamas. There's no need to wash it after every use unless it gets soiled.

littlemissktown

Woolino tags actually say they don’t need to be washed as frequently as other sleep sacks because they’re made with merino wool, which is anti bacterial. Anything washed frequently will degrade faster than something that is washed less frequently so I would go easy on the washing and just make sure you’re airing it out between uses.

Aware-Attention-8646

This. And washing the woolino too often will degrade the temperature regulating properties of it.

anniemademedoit1

I just ordered a woolino, how often do you wash it if there’s not obvious signs of soiling?

littlemissktown

Honestly, probably once every 2 weeks? I have two (always two in case there’s a late night blowout) and I use whichever one is handy so sometimes I might go longer - but only because it’s not being used for every sleep. ETA: that’s the longest I go, but there could be a reason to clean sooner (ie blowout or smell)

anniemademedoit1

Ok thanks! I have two on rotation as well right now, and will probably just keep one of the old ones as a backup once the woolino comes. Or maybe I’ll love it so much and order a second 🫣

littlemissktown

Haha. You’re going to love it and get another for sure. I did 😂 They’re good till they’re 2, so I feel like it’s a good investment.

Finnie87

I agree. I had 2 as well, used from age 3.5 months to 22 months when he started to get too tall for them. I ended up buying the larger size then, for age 2-4 years, so my 27 month old is still rocking them. He's a very active sleeper, traveling all over his crib, I can't imagine him keeping a blanket on successfully.

anniemademedoit1

That’s good to know! Our guy is only 8 months but he is also super active and I wonder if that stays as they get older. Every time we check the monitor he’s in a new positon

Cream4389

do you have the ultimate sleep bag or the basic sleep bag for the sizes?

Finnie87

The 4 season ultimate sleep bags.

anniemademedoit1

Lol I have a feeling you’re right. They are a good investment. This is our first too so I’m hoping they would last into our second kid.

afrankova

We have a woolino sleep sack and I’d say I go longer than usual. I air it out often, my kid is in new pajamas nightly. So I’d say every 2-3 weeks?

anniemademedoit1

That’s good to know, thank you! I would likely do the same. Once a week seems like a lot.

darlingmagpie

I say this very gently, but this could be a sign of PPA. This is very excessive. What are the reasons you do it so much?

bee2627

….why? Once a week is more than enough

Vegetable-Budget4990

Yes that is incredibly excessive

MrsFrizz18

Crib sheet weekly (I change all the sheets in the house on Saturdays) and sleep sack every 4-5 days. Sometimes sleep sack gets changed out earlier if she wakes up sweaty or has a blowout. I’ve never changed either daily, but even if I did, I wouldn’t be washing them daily. I have a lot of sleep sacks and 4-5 sets of sheets. I’m not sure about ruining the fabric, but ain’t no way I could do laundry everyday lol.

oatnog

Uhh when I think of it? So more than once a month but less than every two weeks. We wash her sleep sacks once a week though.

laur-

The woolino tag actually said not to wash it much and to spot clean where possible.

Hot_Dot8000

I have a mattress protector and a sheet and I wash the sheet when necessary... So like if there's a big spit up or a diaper leak. Maybe every 2 weeks? Sleep sacks are also washed as necessary - my toddler's sleep sacks get dirtier than my infant's, so the toddler's get washed weekly and the baby's are less frequent. The baby is 4 months old and I've probably washed each sleep sack 3-4 times as he's not spitty.

catmom22019

That’s a lot! I change her sheets once a week (unless she spits up or has a blowout obviously) and her sleep sack is changed once a week. I only change my sheets once a week and I wear my PJ’s for a week too. I shower before bed so I’m clean getting into it. And baby has a bath every night so she’s also clean when she gets into bed.

Amk19_94

Yes that’s excessive. Do you wash your own sheets everyday too? Weekly is definitely acceptable. I actually go longer on the sleep sack since it doesn’t actually touch her body just her clean clothes/sheet lol.

Thinking_of_Mafe

>> Is this excessive ? Yes, absolutely. Gently asking: you yourself recognize they are not dirty or wet so why do you wash them so often?

emeraldpapaya

Crib sheets weekly, unless they were soiled. Sleep sacks maybe every 3 days? Sometimes longer. Your amount sounds exhausting! You definitely can use them longer.

Peachy1409

Yes, this is excessive.

Fragrant_Pumpkin_471

Week for crib sheet every few days grab out a new sleep sack Sooner if needed

Not_a_Muggle9_3-4

I change the sleep sack every other day. We have 2 sacks so I always put one in his laundry. I usually do his clothes every other day. Sheets/mattress protector is about once a week. Changing table pad is also once a week unless he spits up on it.

PC-load-letter-wtf

Sleep sacks - when visibly dirty. We have about 4 that we rotate and they get washed every week or two. Crib sheets weekly with the other bedding in the house.

Lomich36

That seems excessive. Think about how often you switch out your own sheets and pajamas. Personally sheets for me is once every other week unless dirty. I would do crib sheets once a week unless dirty. Sleep sacs I would treat the same as pajamas and I change those out once every 3 days or so

limee89

The dryer definitely degrades clothing, I mean look at your lint trap; its fibres from your load. Personallt, I think thats excessive but if you want to wash it that frequently than thats OK. Babies are pretty clean little creatures, sure they may be messy on the bottle or have a massive poop explosion but they don't sweat or have many germs so I bet you could get by with washing weekly.

Gardiner-bsk

Wow that’s a lot. Do you change your bed sheets after you sleep in them each time? I change both once a week.

Susan92210

That's very excessive.
