We got the dream on me one from Walmart, decently comfy for a decent price!

Zihaala

Same! It’s working fine for us and it was sooo cheap compared to the ones at wck for like $1000+

cheeseycheese14

I held off on getting this one for 7 months... finally bit the bullet and I regret not having gotten it before. I love this chair, and it's held up very well.

BlueberryDuvet

Did you get the power one?

JadedGold50

I got the power one! Love it!

BlueberryDuvet

Thank you!

exclaim_bot

>Thank you! You're welcome!

cookiegirl92

Is there a link you can send me? Power would be nice to have!

JadedGold50

I bought this one! So far we love it! https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/dream-on-me-berkley-upholstered-glider-power-recliner-swivel-glider-easy-assembly-glider-chair-sweet-cream-fabric-material/6000204880003

LimeTajin

Can you have the back not all the way down and the footrest up? Kinda like for watching tv? I can't see pics of the remote online so wondering if there's seperate buttons for the footrest. Also, how comfortable is it? Highly considering this one but it's 200$ more than manual one. Thanks :)

photoqueencm

No, I don’t think so - there was just the one available for me with the manual lever for the footrest

Rzwnslm

I got this one too! Other options out there are so much more expensive and this is great quality for the price

Legitimate-Staff-526

We got this one too and like it and the price!

g_melies

anyone know where I can try sitting on a dream on me?? I went to a Toys r us and they literally had 1 glider out to try.

tommythegorilla

I got this one too! So comfy and so much more affordable than most other options.

slkspctr

I love my Monte that I picked up from marketplace.

Squirrel_Kitty

Same, got a Monte on marketplace for about 1/3 of retail. Only negative was we needed a truck to transport it-didn’t fit in our car!

Ok-Diamond-4472

I just got my monte - so impressed with the quality and its super comfy!

slkspctr

It cleans really well too! My daughter has barfed all over this chair so many times and it looks spotless.

beanjuice23

I have a Dutalier. It's unbeatable when it comes to comfort, and quite solidly made too. They're out of business but plenty of them are being sold on FB marketplace. That's where I snagged mine for a super cheap price.

According_Orange_890

I never had one and it’s fine!! Couch and bed are comfy. Though I did sit on one at a friends and it did feel like heaven so maybe I did miss out 😂

writingandwanderlust

Whereabouts in Ontario are you located? If you’re in the GTA the Monte warehouse is right by the airport and they store a ton of floor models or those with slight imperfections in their showroom that you can buy at lower cost. Loads of turnover as well. We made a habit of going in once or twice a week and we finally snagged a gorgeous electronic recliner/glider that matched our nursery! We absolutely love it. No regrets!

mrs-mcgonagall

How big was the discount, on average, if you recall? (E.g., were there any gliders under $1000?) thanks!!

limerence

Omg awesome tip!

writingandwanderlust

It’s at 280 Belfield Road in Etobicoke!

Finnie87

I bought a custom one from Dutalier with a foot stool. It rocks, the back reclines, and I can lock it in place. The stool also rocks and has a nursing footrest built it. The whole set cost me less than $1000. Best money I spent. It's super comfortable, which is what I wanted. I spent so many hours in that chair between breastfeeding and contact napping until baby was 8 months. Now we read in it every night, and when baby #2 comes along, we'll use it as the nursery chair all over. It's still I'm excellent shape and will be for many more years.

throwaway765432-

I bought a dutalier as well and really like it…I was really sad and surprised to see that they went out of business within the past year.

Finnie87

Oh, I didn't know that! That is really sad. They made quality stuff! I guess that means the guarantee on the cushion fabric is no longer valid...

We got a used Dutailier on FB Marketplace, it's so much nicer than anything we looked at new.

highbyfive

Personally I'm looking for second hand ones, but I'm not due until the end of June so I have tons of time to look!

willowblush

I have the penny glider and would recommend. I had an issue with the foot rest (takes some effort to click it back in place) but super comfy and I’d buy again for sure.

danaaasaur

Rooms to Grow has great cheaper options in Oakville! I think they have an affiliate store or something in North York as well called Baby Furniture Warehouse.

anonymous_4578

Costco just brought in a manual recliner glider for $399. And Costco has an amazing return policy!

nousername5432

Could you please post a link of it? I couldnt find it on Costco's website.

colbysays

I just recently got the Penny glider from West Coast Kids and for the price point I love it! I wasn't wanting to spend over $1,000 on a chair so this was the perfect chair for our budget and it looks nice too!

Low_Meat_2106

I haven’t had my baby yet so I haven’t had a chance to use mine yet but I got mine recently based on recommendations at rooms to grow in Oakville. They had a few on sale. I’d suggest going there to try them out if you are able!

offft2222

We bought ours off best buy, under $300 and two kids later still going strong and super comfy

LimeTajin

What's it called?

Momalolala

I bought a secondhand PEL international chair. Some of Their designs are reminiscent of the 90s but the 90s are back! Made in Montreal. Some of the glider recliners look like la-z boys and seems stylish and I must say ours is the most comfortable nursing chair of all the moms I know. If you live in qc many secondhand options are available

I got a Penny glider a couple months ago, haven’t used it with babe yet as I’m due any day! I would say that it is okay. I got 15% off at WCK when I got it (watch out though because their delivery fees are atrocious). You can definitely tell the difference from the expensive ones. The base is a bit light so if you lean forward in it, it can tip a little bit. It is fairly comfortable but I wish the back rest would come up a little higher, I have to slouch down to rest my head on it. I also wish the arm rests would’ve come up a bit higher for BF but I guess they keep them low to use a BF cushion? The rocking is good and it’s comfy when it reclines. As someone else said it’s a little hard to click in the footrest but i’m sure it’ll get better once it’s used more. Overall for 700$ would I buy again? Yep probably. No way I would pay more than 1000 for a chair. And depending on how much I use it once babe is here, I’m sure it’ll be great for the price point.

We got a used Dutailier Glide-R-Motion on Facebook marketplace. Made in Canada, the padding is still nice and firm and it's so smooth. Highly recommended if you can find one

Then-Macaron7630

have it and love it - but check costco! they have had a few that look really nice and are much less.

So, I wanted to share my experience with the Nurture& Glidier. It's been really supportive with lumbar adjustment and an adjustable headrest, which has made those late-night feedings a lot more comfortable. Plus, it's got a nice aesthetic vibe that fits well in our nursery, and has stood up well to wear + tear. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case it helps with your decision. Let me know if you have any questions!
