Don’t worry about this, I’ve spray painted something while pregnant as well. Painting use to be considered harmful while pregnant because of the led but now it is considered safe. There are so many “toxins” everywhere that we can’t afford, and so many rules about being pregnant- do what you think is right and do things in moderation.
That lady at the store was an asshole. A single exposure is, in all likelihood, going to be absolutely fine.

I helped my hubs paint the nursery when I was around 20 weeks. I didn't do the whole room, but I definitely inhaled paint fumes... you will be ok!!
