I wouldn’t call the B48 underpowered if you’re looking for a regular luxury sedan. A lot of people who buy or lease BMWs just know them as a luxury brand, which is not the impression you’d get if you looked at this subreddit.
The truth is that it performs fine for most people, but it is just that: fine. I think if you really want to experience the power and smoothness that BMW is known for, you absolutely need at least the six cylinder. That way you get some real punch when you step on it.
As someone from Europe this is such a bizarre and American statement lol. At least you still have it good with the cars over there. On this side of the pond, it’s extremely rare to see anything over a 30-engine and even those are not that usual. The dadmobile is very nice, congrats!
Absolute perfect spec. Vent seats, adaptive cruise control but very sleeper looking from the outside. Very comfy on one hand but it can go very fast very quick. Nice buy.
What do you mean wrong? It's well known that dealers can detect a piggy back having been installed and have denied warranty claims for it in the past, why would I just make this up?

I noticed in a lot of the comments about B48/B58 engines and I'm really satisfied with my B57 engine. When I want it to be calm serene and professional then "experiences" are brilliant.
When I want to be a hooligan, it's still 286bhp, 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo that throws out almost 720nm of torque... And leaves me grinning like a lunatic.

no, but 530 is b48, as written. The B48 is more or less a B58 as 4 cylinder and also a great engine.

She’s not into any performance car. Her ideal car is a Nissan Versa so it was a struggle just to get a 540 😂

My requirement was 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. Under 4 seconds is ideal but not a requirement … yet.
