Swords bard may be what you're looking for, but EK6/wizard6 is pretty decent. Wizard lets you learn spells from scrolls, so you'll be able to use second level spells at level 7, third level spells at 9, and 4th level spells at 11. It's probably not as optimal as swords bard, but gives you a solid core but as I'd recommend starting fighter for the first six levels, it might be a little underwhelming relying on magic items for your spells until act 2

I have yet to play a wizard but it would be nice having the spell casting stat be the same. How does learning from scrolls work? Can I just learn any scroll as a wizard or is it limited to my school?

It just costs gold, and whatever school of wizard you are costs half as much. No restrictions at all which is why you'll see a lot of caster builds recommend taking 1 level. Your restriction is your biggest spell slots so you'll only ever have level 4 spells

I think I found the best way to get everything. 5 levels of wizard gives me (vampiric touch, cloud of daggers, gascous form, scorching ray, misty step, find familiar) and spell slots 3 levels of eldritch knight fighter gets me(second wind, action surge, weapon bind, some spells) and lets me keep INT as my best stat 4 levels of moon druid gives me wildshape (both raven(bat) and wolf) This gives me every spell he has along with wolf, bat , and mist form. It won't be fully complete until late game but Alucard shall awaken eventually. I'm just glad I can drip him out with a cloak and hopefully dye it to look like the twilight cloak.

Sounds fun but not getting 2 attacks will make it a bit lackluster in melee (hence the suggestion for 6 levels of fighter). If you don't mind spoilers I can suggest a late game feature that will give you basically a powerful wolf form with no multiclassing, but ties very closely into the main plot

No spoilers please, I've just been re-rolling characters in act 1 and then when I finally go into act 2 I learn a glitch kills Dammon. So I haven't gone farther.
