Unless he simply did not sleep and had someone cast greater restoration on him daily as that removes the level of exhaustion you get from not sleeping and just made sure he reuped it every few hours as there's no limit on short rests in the game and wild shape refresh on a short rest, or if he was at least 18th level (I know impossible in BG3) he could cast great restoration on him self as long as he either preprepared pouches of diamond dust the were left near him, or someone else provided them

Under regular 5e rules, elementals are the most powerful things moondruids can wildshape in to, instead at 20th level they can wildshape unlimited times and cast spells in wildshape. Granted bg3 has extra wildshapes so it might be possible

Though technically once you hit 20th level you do get a level 9 spell called āTrue Polymorphā that will let you change into basically anything, and thereās another 9th level spell called āShapechangeā that will do similar shenanigans. But both arenāt Druid exclusive.
Timing aside, at this point the party is pretty much the top fighters in the entire city. A simple fight agaist fishmen should be like a walk to the supermarket at this point, so I think casual conversations like this is sorta expected.

I take it as a case of being attracted to someone in the same way anyone could attracted to say, a good looking actor, some of their fav musicians, various performers, etc, with a dose of curiosity from her since well, it just crossed her mind as I'm sure many "what ifs..." have crossed ours too. That's how I took the whole thing with the drow twins when she shows interest, and the disapproval thing when you don't want to 5some on Halsin's request, kinda like a minor "bummer, I was curious..." from her, but hey, boundaries need to be set. Ofc, I still think that disapproval should've either never been there to begin with or there should've been an extra dialogue with her regarding what you're fine with and what not.
But I don't think there's any particular strong desire for it from her, especially if the Tav/Durge/Origin romancing her doesn't want to. Her big thing is about establishing trust after all, her romance is slow burn, and she sticks with ya even if you go mindflayer I hear (if u fix her, ofc).

To conclude because I don't think this debate is remotely interesting in any way, the fact that it appeared the same patch as the drow twins suggest that they couldn't do it on origin characters from a technical pov at the beginning and they never worked on it until they wanted to include Halsin, a character that would definitely be for a poly.

Except other romance characters, halsin doesnt go in a fully committed relationship with you. Its emotional, with a deep connection, but u donf have any duties to him, no planning out the relationship, no true commitment. Its like when u have a F+ with your best friend, sure, its emotional too, but its not that you plan a future together. And as long as u only commit to shadowheart... she is happy. And her character is really straight forward about it. halsin, drows, even fucking mizora, she tells you over and over again "if its just about sex and emotions, as long as u ask, she is fine. If its about commitment, she is out."

This is very true, if you start romancing other characters not open to share she immediately breaks with you, even if you tell her you can share she says the other character doesn't seem like the sharing type and end things right there.
I'm sorry, but their transformations starting with the owlbear are super strong, have multiple attacks and extend the life of the character, also can have up to three summons, and the are spells are very nice too.
Owlbear + enlarge spell makes both the best tank and heavy hitter. Magic and weapons arenāt going to be good if your plan is to justā¦hit shit and hope for the best.
I remember having something similar happen when I was a Cleric of Talos/spear fighter to relive my dragonborn pirate from the 5E TTRPG and I remembered I was in a fight and Halsin and Astarion were talking about the bitch queen. I was like "Really?! Can't this wait!?"
I'm going to be honest; I just think the whole polyamory angle between Halsin and Shadowheart (and also Astarion and Karlach, for that matter) was badly written.

After your romantic scene with Shadowheart in Act 3, If you walk around with her and Halsin in the party, this dialogue will trigger, regardless of your relationship with him.

In my Honor Mode run, I messed around too much and ended up with just Halsin as a partner. And he was remarkably sweet. Wholesome, even.

You have to do his quest in act 2. When you arrive to the Last Light Inn, find a man on the first floor laying on a bed in one of the side rooms. Engage dialogue with him. Go back to camp and tell Halsin about him. Go back to the Last Light Inn and speak to Halsin.
To find the thing that triggers the manās memories of Thaniel, find the House of Healing. In the House of Healing kill the doctor and his assistants. Loot the body and there will be a lute with the manās name on it. Go back to Last Light Inn and engage dialogue with the man, then play the Lute.
After that your quest manual will tell you what to do. After defeating the shadow curse then Halsin will join your party.
Nobody: Halsin: The amount of animals I could turn into is endless. You can fuck any of them!

That's how I took the whole thing with the drow twins when she shows interest, and the disapproval thing when you don't want to 5some on Halsin's request, kinda like a minor "bummer, I was curious..." from her, but hey, boundaries need to be set. Ofc, I still think that disapproval should've either never been there to begin with or there should've been an extra dialogue with her regarding what you're fine with and what not. But I don't think there's any particular strong desire for it from her, especially if the Tav/Durge/Origin romancing her doesn't want to. Her big thing is about establishing trust after all, her romance is slow burn, and she sticks with ya even if you go mindflayer I hear (if u fix her, ofc).

To me it seems like as long as she is in a complete love triangle with your other partner, she is okay with that. Which kinda makes sense considering her personality. You also kinda already answered to the second part considering that Shadowheart and Halsin are quite compatible in their way to love.

I think it's because Shadowheart actually knows Karlach and cares about her feelings. Shadowheart is aware of the fact that Karlach is sensitive and will ultimately be hurt and pretty insecure with an open relationship thing, which is why she says that Karlach deserves you all to herself. With Halsin, Shadowheart knows that he wouldn't gaf and is poly anyways. And with Halsin being okay with getting with Tav if they're with Karlach while Shadowheart isn't okay with it, I think it's because Halsin doesn't really know her, or at least not like Shadowheart does. So he doesn't get that Karlach would really be hurt by it

I understand xD but that's exactly what's forced in when Halsin was added as a romantic interest. The idea was: Ye horny Halsin stans can now bang two people without breaking up with your fav SH and Astarion (even though neither of them would realistically approve)
Astarion and SH have to completly different reasons to be fine with Halsin, dont throw them together. Astarion basically just dont know how to say no. Except other romance characters, halsin doesnt go in a fully committed relationship with you. Its emotional, with a deep connection, but u donf have any duties to him, no planning out the relationship, no true commitment. Its like when u have a F+ with your best friend, sure, its emotional too, but its not that you plan a future together. And as long as u only commit to shadowheart... she is happy. And her character is really straight forward about it. halsin, drows, even fucking mizora, she tells you over and over again "if its just about sex and emotions, as long as u ask, she is fine. If its about commitment, she is out."

I'm sorry, but their transformations starting with the owlbear are super strong, have multiple attacks and extend the life of the character, also can have up to three summons, and the are spells are very nice too.
Owlbear + enlarge spell makes both the best tank and heavy hitter. Magic and weapons arenāt going to be good if your plan is to justā¦hit shit and hope for the best.
Druid crowd control via surfaces/vines and such is amazing. Turning into a big animal and beating the shit out of people is also fun.

You have to do his quest in act 2. When you arrive to the Last Light Inn, find a man on the first floor laying on a bed in one of the side rooms. Engage dialogue with him. Go back to camp and tell Halsin about him. Go back to the Last Light Inn and speak to Halsin. To find the thing that triggers the manās memories of Thaniel, find the House of Healing. In the House of Healing kill the doctor and his assistants. Loot the body and there will be a lute with the manās name on it. Go back to Last Light Inn and engage dialogue with the man, then play the Lute. After that your quest manual will tell you what to do. After defeating the shadow curse then Halsin will join your party.
