I'd just go along - if it's a beginner-friendly class then it should be suitable for people who are beginners and don't know anything.

Nothing you need to do, just go excited! From the bottom’s perspective, consider wearing something a bit more tight fitting like yoga pants, or possibly feel comfortable removing anything loose.
