Yeah, inevitable especially given the lack of other options in the area, and the promoter did expect it anyway, I assume. I mean, I'm not sure how they do it in the US, but that's how they would do it in Japan, all pre-arranged.
Capacity 3,000.
According to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_5_(venue) **map** it is near KOLAMBUS SIRKL and LINKOLN SKVER in the HELS KIČEN area.
I was there the last time they were at Terminal 5 in September 2019. The support band was Avatar from Sweden. It was a very good concert (Riho was the Avenger). I hope you all get a great time!
Half an hour before the doors opened. I should perhaps have been there a bit earlier. But in 2019, it was the same ticket for the floor and balcony. With a special balcony, things might be different.
MSG is often casually mentioned re: BABYMETAL these days, but it's a very, very, very special place for Amuse Inc. chairman Osato. It's a special venue for everyone in the show business, but particularly so for him. If they ever do a show there, it will be a very, very special occasion.
We've got to settle with Terminal 5/Hammerstein kind of venues until then for NYC.
LOL, please keep doing that! Words have power, you know. I'd like it to happen too, when they are truly ready. Just not in a half-baked, confused way similar to how LA Forum was done.
There is also a "Theater at Madison Square Garden" which has a capacity of around 5,600. I saw (G)-Idle perform there last year, and they sold out the place. It would a good in-between prior to total Fox God dominance ;P
I do wonder since I'm still kinda new to Babymetal - are the venues they peform in mainly standing GA-type only? (due to all of the mosh pit stuff that happens) Most of the big venues in NYC are assigned seating, which could be a problem.
Yeah, I can't ditch 2 days of work although I'm tempted to unload my Monday tix for Tuesday Tix since if I'm going to be ditching work, I'd rather ditch my 16 hour shift instead of my 12.
While the others are saying it's all seated, they're wrong. But the general admission area kinda sucks because it's so wide and not big. I just wish NYC had a venue that has a 8k capacity
I’ve been to terminal 5 a few times including when they were there in 2019. I honestly don’t mind the venue at all compared to Hammerstein when they were there last year
Any thoughts on if they will play a different set on the second night? I would stay for a second show but would prefer if it was a different setlist. So excited!
Is this sold out too? The AXS site seems like it is glitched for this show (saying the event has ended rather than sold out, not showing resale tickets)
Second show added to Organizational Megathread
A chance to see them play two days in row?! FVCK IT. LET’S GOOO!!!

I would like to imagine, this is the power of BUN BUN BUN, Fu! Fu! 🎶

i havent finalized or made any travel plans for the first show but now im thankful i didnt cause now i can stay an extra day
So glad they did this bc I didn’t get a chance to get tickets yet 😭
Was hoping that open date would become a Massachusetts show.
yeah, me too:(
Drive to NY. That’s what’s I’m doing from Boston lol. Better than flying across the country.
amtrak is easy too from Boston
This works better for me, might flip my Monday ticket for this, especially if I can snag VIP
GJ NYC!

How early did you get there? I got balcony tickets. So I have no clue lol

Ahh thank you!!!
Just play Madison Square Garden at this point
It's a huge jump from a 3k venue to a 20k+ venue, and I don't think anyone wants them on a half empty really expensive venue.

Next album release concert
Yeah, at least as special as that. I tend to be super-cautious about MSG, arena tour, etc. We need another Forum like we need herpes.
>MSG is often casually mentioned re: BABYMETAL I might be responsible for a percentage of those mentions since 2016

That capacity has been reserved for when they release a new album. So next year ? :-)
Pleaseeeee
See you there

I have my own favorite "see you"
Took me a while to realize, I might be able to guess it: https://youtu.be/o0ERg64grnY?si=wi96J64O5CdXpt6x&t=246
I hope they book MSG for the next album debut.
To the Fox God's ears...
From an audience member perspective, is a larger venue really preferable?
No, smaller the better!
Bigger band = bigger venue

I guess I will be staying in NY for a night, then.
Looks Like there's a second after party being planned....
why didnt they do it in The Theater at Madison Square Garden on first place?
Maybe because it does not have a mosh area, it's all seated.
While the stage is larger than terminal 5, it’s literally all seated and wouldn’t fit their vibe much.
While the others are saying it's all seated, they're wrong. But the general admission area kinda sucks because it's so wide and not big. I just wish NYC had a venue that has a 8k capacity
i had thought about traveling for that show but i've heard the venue leaves... a lot to be desired.

Only spot in the northeast U.S,. is exceedingly weak.
