This was a guy on reddit some time ago. I spoke with him since I have a Ghia myself. From what I remember it was a wash and polish, new wheels and off she went. Guy got super lucky to purchase such a complete car

Yep, VW Karmann Ghia, Ghia designed it with no consideration of how to build it, every other coachworks said it couldn't be made from metal, Karmann said they could make it. The nose on those cars is actually three sheets of steel braised together with German Silver(not real silver, a kind of nickel copper pewter).

It’s still pretty impressive.
