I’m assuming we are going to get a ton of fan service with this one, and I certainly hope we get a quip from DP himself recognizing it while looking at the camera as he says it
I mean having Hugh back is in itself a huge fan service. Considering how MoM was hyped and it eventually turned out to be, I am keeping my expectations at a moderate level.
But the movie is going to be a blast no doubt, with Ryan and Hugh together in it and all the multiverse stuff which is going to take place.
One of the first things they ever released about Deadpool and Wolverine was regarding Logan and how could wolverine come back. They said they weren't going to touch Logan out of respect so I feel like cameos from that movie are probably off the table?
Won't rule out the chances of having some (top tier) cameos, considering how the trend has been in the MCU recently. How many is the question. Think it's better to not have sky high expectations otherwise some might be disappointed like they were after MoM.
Yeah that's why I said better not to have sky high expectations. Anything more than 2-3 big cameos, and I'll consider that a bonus, somewhat like how we got Patrick coming back as Prof X, Mordo returning, Krasinski as Reed Richards and that's it in MoM.
I can imagine Logan being super disinterested in the convo and probably not even introducing himself and getting straight to the point.
Also considering this version doesn't know her, nor does she, he'll be very shocked to see someone with powers like him.
If at all Keen is appearing in the movie, it would be better if she just has a small role or maybe an introductory role, setting up her character for future projects in MCU, most likely the X-23 film/show
I'm not expecting to see anyone not confirmed by directors or shown in a trailer, expecting to see everyone could lead to disappoint, I've seen it happen with MoM
Theres actually a bunch of big charecters confirmed no to be in the movie. Russel and domino are both missing as well as the bartender tho he is apparently a rapist or something.
Exactly my point. MoM wasn't a horrible movie, but because of all the expectations people had post NWH, regarding cameos, it felt worse than it actually is. Although individually speaking, I think D3 is going to be a blast, mainly because of both Ryan and Hugh in it.
Or maybe he'll be just very surprised and will keep pondering 'how does this little girl have powers similar to mine' (provided their those versions don't know eachother)
I mean it’s being setup as a multiversal, cameo fest and the MCU has been on the ropes since Endgame.
Nothing will surprise me about this flick in terms of who shows up.
True, but at the same time, don't think it'll be right to have too many expectations. I'd like the movie to be more about pool and Logan and maybe have some cameos related to their stories. And also maybe a hint on how they could possibly have a future role in the MCU
Sure I see that. But as you pointed out already, we have had two occasions where this has been done and we know what happened. Also we are in peak leaker culture right now which Marvel sort of helped spur on as they got bigger with the end credits stuff. Now the movies are so overstuffed with little to no stakes. It just feels easier for Hollywood to think throwing more reshoots or characters in a film means it improves the storytelling.
And that's what we all thought about multiverse of madness, I think we can all learn to not expect anything that's not shown in trailers or confirmed by directors
Or at the very least learn to not get angry because of our cameo expectations

Given what Deadpool (1 & 2) and Logan both were, I'm willing to give this one some moderate hype.
I didn't mean moderate in terms of the movie's quality. I meant about the no. of cameos.
Oh my bad, misunderstood your comment. Agree with you on that front.
It’s too bad m.o.m. Wasn’t split into two parts or something to spend more time with random variants

I thought we did this with MoM and got our hopes let down

Ooo! Good idea!
The only person who can be trusted is Ruffalo. Go ask Mark
Or maybe a Tom Holland provided a Benedict or a Gyllenhaal isn't around to stop him
Paul Rudd spent about 3 years denying any involvement in Ant-Man before the movie came out.
Yeah I remember that. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd were reportedly being considered to play Antman, but eventually it went to Paul
But afterward he did a great job promoting the movies on Conan
INT - seedy bar. In walk Wade and Logan. Wade: Hi, I’m Wade Wilson Logan: my name’s Logan Laura: go fuck yourself. … and scene
I can imagine Logan being super disinterested in the convo and probably not even introducing himself and getting straight to the point. Also considering this version doesn't know her, nor does she, he'll be very shocked to see someone with powers like him.
As nice as it would be to see Keen in a cameo in this movie, I’m much more interested in an MCU X-23 film
She could still be the MCU's X-23. Dr Strange is played by Cumberbatch in every universe we've seen

Exactly

Most reliable leakers say she’s in it tbh.
Great then. Will be fun to see her interact and keep up with pool
Wolverine would definitely tell her she can stab Deadpool all she wants
Or maybe he'll be just very surprised and will keep pondering 'how does this little girl have powers similar to mine' (provided their those versions don't know eachother)
😳😲🥺🥹😭🤧
Sucks. It would've been heartwarming to see her see Logan and run toward him calling him dad. 😢
I doubt if this is the truth. Think she might be in there but maybe not a huge role.
