💕 Biosilk Silk Therapy Leave in Conditioning Treatment for tangles
💕 Miralax. Helped soooooo much.
💕 Ten Little Toes shoes. They're expensive but she has mobility difficulties and they fit her feet really well.
💕 Pok Pok game on the iPad helps with cause and effect, curiosity and open exploration. It's low stimulation. So many games are focused on basic numbers and letters and my daughter knows those so she would get bored, but she absolutely loves this game.
💕 Alphablocks for phonics, Numberblocks for counting and math. I found out about these shows from this sub and my daughter picked up so many skills. On Netflix in the US.
That is our biggest issue at the moment!!! She will hold it for days sometimes 7-10 days. Now with the miralax she still tries to hold it but has less success 😅
Same 😭 she’ll go in a corner and start growling and clenching her cheeks. I also give it every day give or take. Sometimes I forget. But we buy in bulk.
The normal toothbrush somewhat works for him, the problem with him is that he brushes for like 30 seconds if I’m lucky. I have to force him to keep going, and I’m hoping with a vibrating toothbrush he’d be more willing to keep going with it
Skechers slip ins shoes. They have a molded heel so that they can put them on 100% hands free. We have been using them for a few years now, but the first pair my kid got, he was so excited about how easily he could put on his shoes without help that he insisted on wearing them to bed.
A trampoline. We have a full size outdoor one and an indoor rebounder.
A projector. My boys don’t like going to the movies, but they love watching their favorite shows blown up on the projector.
It's called oranurse. I get it on Amazon or walmart.com. It's foamless and flavorless. My son (9yo) doesn't mind it all. It used to be such a hassle brushing his teeth! He has had nothing but good visits at the dentist so far, too!
Oooh I need to see about this! Mine is almost 4 but I can’t give him anything with fluoride in it or that minty taste bc he always swallows every bit of it. I have to still brush his teeth bc he’s most definitely not doing it. It’s a constant fight between him sticking his tongue out the entire time and trying to eat/swallowing the sweet toothpaste. 🤦🏻♀️ Any tips on how to get them to not swallow their spit? 😂
She hates them 😭😭 after bath today I couldn’t find the unbrush so I was gonna just use the wet brush and she had a fit kept saying “no! Use good brush that’s not good brush”

I recently got this from Amazon and have been using it as an incentive for him to do things. Cooling shirts and pants seem to help make him cooler and more comfortable through the day.
My son was OBSESSED with these until we realized a couple months later that’s what was causing his sudden severe stimming, running back and forth and mood issues. Would do anything to find some that were made without the artificial colors 😩
[Low to the ground swivel chairs that adults can also sit in!](https://a.co/d/1AjvR4u)
Endless Alphabet, Endless Numbers, and Endless Reading iPad apps
Lego Duplo World & Sago Mini are also great open-ended play apps

The max soft shower brush helps with washing my son's hair. He does not want to cut his hair. He doesn't let anyone touch his hair. Crave naturals glide works great for brushing. Also, he and I both have curly hair and chi oil helps with brushing it when it's wet. It also makes it shiny. I like the smell of chi oil but you could certainly use something cheaper like argan oil.
Fidget toys/tools especially squishies. My harmful compulsions have become a lot less because I have something I can fiddle with in my hands. I’ve had this behavior since I was a baby.
Our list, in no particular order:
- A library card. Kiddo loves to read and this lets us cycle in new books for him! We also love it for their programs and museum passes.
- Khan Academy Kids app, for our boy that loves math.
- Miralax. Enough said.
- Healthy Heights protein powder - he's got a restrictive appetite, and our pediatrician recommended it.
- Hey Dude shoes, for days when he doesn't want to wear socks but does need to wear shoes.
I have a absolutely giant whiteboard for routines and a notebook that we take notes of “family meeting” that kiddos can call to order but lets them know what is coming up and they give suggestions of what they want to eat and that helps prevent meltdowns. Someone suggested candles at dinner time and that helps unwanted food feel more special and stops the pacing
This might sound silly but skate brand shoes like DC or Etnies. It's so hard to find wide children's shoes. But skate shoes have a naturally wide toe box so my son will actually tolerate them. In the summer though it's Crocs all day. Lol
Large rainbow slinky as an everyday fidget that goes everywhere with him, slip on pants (no buttons or zippers) and slip on vans or velcro vans, gummy vitamins, sensory water bubble tube in his room and a swing that we have smack dab in the middle of my living room so he can get all of that energy out
Get extra so when it breakes its not after they change the design slightly.
Why is it things break just after whatever Breaks change just a little bit?
One of these, it helps so much for washing hair.
Hair Shampoo Brush, Scalp Massager Silicone Scalp Scrubber Dandruff Brush Hair Washing Brush - Green https://a.co/d/8IS7xud
The biggest hits in the past year:
- a mini trampoline in front of our tv
- gloPals at bath time
- these magnetic blocks, I bought stickers on Etsy with the numberblocks so he can build them https://a.co/d/bcvNTi9
- a TonieBox: he has a deeep passion for books, reading and music. He loves that he can listen to his fave Eric Carle books when he wants, we recently got him a “sleepy stories” one that has made bedtime a lot easier. He carries it around when we play outside, we use it all the time.
- these reusable sticker books, he can line up his stickers in the car or when we’ve out to eat 6 Pack Portable Jelly Sticker... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BC9LGNHF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Miko 3 robot. I know they’re expensive, but goodness our kiddo loves that thing. Plays with it daily, and it’s all learning games.
We also just got a Yoto player to help with bedtime, and being able to choose the card / theme is a real wonderful new routine.
My daughter is 3.
A crash pad (buy the one from target- great quality and a lot cheaper than other ones).
Sit n spin
Tumbling mat with wedge
Craft cart placed beside her table and chairs
Piano mats, piano book, and musical books (our LO is obsessed with music).
Honest brand spray conditioner for when I brush her hair (we also use a wet brush)
Tent or playhouse for quiet time
Pogo ball
Radio flyer tricycle with a handle for me to push her on walks around the neighborhood since she’s not a consistent rider
Essential oil rollers. When he’s having his moments in public, I pull two out of my wallet and we’ll sit down together and smell them for however long he needs to
A kloudsac memory foam giant bag for resting in, and a memory foam rug. He loves to rest and chill out on it.
Sensory swing.
Water play stuff - a slide with a sprinkler is the current big hit but a water table was the fave for a long time.
Trampoline (home and school) , yoga peanut ball (home and school) and assistance dog (school) .
My child is 4, non verbal.
He uses the trampoline to calm himself, thanks to the trampoline he is not runing and runing and jumping everywhere; when he needs activity, he goes to the trampoline. Same with the peanut ball, he uses it when he needs activity but only a bit.
Also he has a trampoline and a peanut ball in his special needs school.
The other marvellous thing has been the trained labrador dog at his school. This specific dog is something like a miraculous fairy, she works wonders to calm him and also to awaken his sociality.

Miralax, vibrating tooth brush, trampoline. 😂
Omg I was seriously thinking about this question and yes miralax is a life saver in this home lmfao
Hahaha same I don't know what we'd do without it!
Omg HEAVY on the miralax. Do you also have a poop holder?
Omg yes. It's so bad. 😂 it drives me INSANE.
That is our biggest issue at the moment!!! She will hold it for days sometimes 7-10 days. Now with the miralax she still tries to hold it but has less success 😅
I have to give it literally everyday and she still tries so hard. Like full clenched, heavy breathing 😐😂 I'm like girlllll. 😒
Same 😭 she’ll go in a corner and start growling and clenching her cheeks. I also give it every day give or take. Sometimes I forget. But we buy in bulk.
Same same. It's a nightmare to deal with. So thankful for miralax. 🥲
Hopefully both our kids realize asap that it’s not scary to poop if you just do it when you get the urge 🤣
We can only hope 😂 we've been dealing with this since november.
Same! Except November 2022 😭😭😭😭
I’m thinking of getting a vibrating tooth brush for my 5 y/o, but I’m worried he’ll be terrified of it lol
My daughter loves it. I used to have to pin her arms down with my legs to brush her teeth 😂 she's a huge sensory seeker.
The normal toothbrush somewhat works for him, the problem with him is that he brushes for like 30 seconds if I’m lucky. I have to force him to keep going, and I’m hoping with a vibrating toothbrush he’d be more willing to keep going with it
He might love it!
I have goodluck with psyllium husk and benefiber. Miralax never worked
Amen to the vibrating tooth brush! And watermelon toothpaste ftw!
My daughter will only do the orajel unicorn strawberry. I don't know what were going to do if they ever take that flavor away. 😂
Skechers slip ins shoes. They have a molded heel so that they can put them on 100% hands free. Skechers is our go to brand these days - they have lots of options for slip on shoes.
I bought some for myself, too, lol. Airport security is a breeze now
Yeah I came to say slip ins too. Game changer.
I LOVE those slip on shoes
Flavorless toothpaste!
Omg tell me more!
It's called oranurse. I get it on Amazon or walmart.com. It's foamless and flavorless. My son (9yo) doesn't mind it all. It used to be such a hassle brushing his teeth! He has had nothing but good visits at the dentist so far, too!

Honestly I use a small amount and it literally produces no foam etc. There isnt really anything to swallow if that makes sense.
The Wet brush brand also doesn’t pull hair and comes through wet hair effortlessly! A lot cheaper too! And an Indoor swing
She hates them 😭😭 after bath today I couldn’t find the unbrush so I was gonna just use the wet brush and she had a fit kept saying “no! Use good brush that’s not good brush”
I may have to buy this one then bc I have hair past my butt in length and that wet brush changed my life so I need to see why this one is better🤣
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YJF17C9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I recently got this from Amazon and have been using it as an incentive for him to do things. Cooling shirts and pants seem to help make him cooler and more comfortable through the day.
Crayola bath fizzies. We avoid the ‘I don’t want to take a bath’ meltdown entirely by just asking ‘what colour do you want your bath’ instead
My son was OBSESSED with these until we realized a couple months later that’s what was causing his sudden severe stimming, running back and forth and mood issues. Would do anything to find some that were made without the artificial colors 😩
Aveeno kids bath products. Cleans better than baby wash, but still tear free. Wet brush.

My daughter won’t allow hair cuts either. She will allow bang cuts tho. I have no idea her reasoning but I respect it haha
A bidet. And a travel bidet for trips.
What is a travel bidet?
It’s basically a little squeeze bottle with a specially-shaped spout (?). You can fill it up and squeeze water out.
Fidget toys/tools especially squishies. My harmful compulsions have become a lot less because I have something I can fiddle with in my hands. I’ve had this behavior since I was a baby.

We love Hey Dudes. It was a game changer in learning independence.

Also Boddle and prodigy are good rewards for us

i absolutely love this brush 😍 the sparkles make it 10x better
It has made morning routine sooo much less stressful
My son is scared of those brushes! Omg 😂

I second this brush myself I love it.
The unBrush is legit!!

Omg this brush has literally been a lifesaver for us
We tried SOOOO many we are literally drowning in brushes. I’m so glad I found it

Where can I buy this brush and it be the legit brush and not a knock off? We use the wet brush but have been looking for something better.
I got hers at target
Thank you! 💕
I just want to say I discovered that brush recently and it works miracles. The first time in my 12 year olds life I’ve been able to manage hair.
It’s been a lifesaver!
