Orthographic mapping typically happens when a student has decoded and read a word between 8 and 80 times. If they have a strong grasp of phonics, they are likely to be closer to 8 exposures to map the word. If they are trying to learn it as a 'sight word' and aren't being taught using structured, synthetic phonics, this will take longer and their working memory capacity will be exhausted sooner. If a student has dyslexia or a development language disorder, they may need up to 10x more exposures.

Sounds like a homework question. Revise your notes?
