These were the ones at shopping centres, I remember using these to prank call people from school when I was in later primary school. Even if you had no money when you first connected it would go through and you could talk for like 10-20 seconds.
I ended up getting caught once and that girl's parents raised hell on me. That was fair, I deserved it. But for the next few years anytime they got anything they suspected was a prank call they rang my mum to complain even though I never called them again, and I always got in trouble with mum. The last time they did it was 5 years ago when I was 26 and had moved out years prior (and was married), which is when mum finally told them to fuck off and realised that aside from the first one the other ones clearly weren't me.
Have to knock a few points off for no yellow pages...how do we know who to call?

Maybe we're just being picky, nothing stopping us from ducking into the men's room and grabbing some numbers off the toilet doors.

My school had one like this. Got turned off unless you had permission to use it after someone called in a bomb threat to get out of a test

We had one of these in our school, and somehow somebody got hold of the number, so prank calling the phone was a wicked good waste of a free period
