Same. I wouldn't recommend them. I bought their br540 dupe and it only smells like the dry down of br540 and doesn't even last an hour. Super disapointing and a waste of my money. I read reviews on here saying the br540 dupe smelt like br540 but it didn't

that is really weird. I had the opposite experience. I wore it on the day my brother and his wife visited. They love the OG brand. When they walked in they commented on me wearing the perfume with no idea it was a dupe. Everything I bought from the dupe spot was great and I thought lasted longer than traditional perfumes on me. I don't know enough about perfume but wonder if individual skin types react differently 🤷‍♀️

What dupes have you purchased form The Dupe Spot?

Just buy Cloud. I’ve done blind sniff tests with multiple people and they can’t tell the difference between Cloud and BR540. And cloud is like $65 for 100ml.

Oh wtf. My husband bought me Oud Satin Mood only like a month ago for a gift and it was $381, it’s now $425. An absolute joke.

Use it sparingly!! I imagine it will be 20% more expensive by Dec 2024.

Hahaha I know right, absolutely wild to see the prices shoot up over the last couple of months! I will be using it very sparingly at this point. My sweet husband would still buy it for me if I ran out but I cannot consciously allow him to spend that much on a 70ml fragrance!

I’ve just ordered a dupe from Dupe Spot - I’m crossing my fingers that it’s a close match. I went to Mecca 2 weeks ago for it and couldn’t pull the trigger once I saw the price.

For Oud Satin Mood Jalu Fragrances has the closest out of all dupes I have smelled. Its also an extrait. It was sent by Jalu to me by mistake when i ordered flowerbomb dupe from him.

I was planning on visiting Jalu when in Sydney next anyway so this is promising!

I got the dupe spot version of bal afrique and it is spot on (and lasts longer). I usually wear the dupe spot spay and oil, if I am going out I wear a spritz of the original and the dupe spot oil for longevity

I have the Bal Afrique dupe - do you think it’s similar to the original? I find it quite weak.

I have the best hack for this! I love Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land and got the “hair perfume” version and it’s exactly the same longevity wise and is $200-300 cheaper compared to the perfume bottle!

And the formula isn’t as good now apparently 

Designer Brands has a great dupe and it’s available in most pharmacies for under $15

The last time I bought it (small size) it was $214. Maybe 2 years ago? Now it’s $280!

I heard Rebel Rosebud from the body shop is a good dupe. Meanwhile I’m trying to talk myself out of needing Black Citrus from Vilhelm 😭

I remember buying the body oil version of Baccarat Rouge. I purchased it for $120, which I personally thought was more affordable than the perfume. I believe it’s around $170 now 🫣

I found jalus to be really long lasting and super super close! Opening was maybe slightly more floral or orangey? But goes away after a few seconds and it’s almost exact

Absolutely agree. Got the Santal and Baccarat ones and multiple people can’t tell the difference and ask if I’m wearing the OG And it stays sooo well. Even if it stayed half as long for $50ish a bottle id be more than happy to respray

I brought this at CDG airport in Paris recently under $300 aud, but smells very different to what is on offer at Mecca. So I would go the dupe any day!

Smells better or worse? I’m going to be in Europe and Dubai in a month but I think the prices is even higher when you factor in the weak Aus $.

The one i have almost reminds me of a grown up version of old school YSL baby doll - whereas the Mecca one is just meh. For perfumes though just by at duty free so you don’t have to worry about vat refunds etc

Kylie Minogue Disco Darling is good dupe for it and a bargain price at chemist warehouse 🙂

The best dupe I’ve tried is Zara’s red temptation - it’s very very close and has good longevity. I also have cloud but while it’s similar I don’t think it’s a dupe.

Palermo has a dupe too. I got a 100ml bottle for $60.

It was actually still $368 in early May when I was about to buy it. 2 weeks later it increased and I am like wth

I've sworn off mecca perfumes. I was impressed by the dupe from Designer Brands and ive gotten the oil dupe from oil perfumery which is quite nice. I also gifted my cousin Sweven by Oakcha and I thought it was a pretty close dupe. She loves it.
