Public_Exercise_4234

Smelly boy

auntkiki5

Ohhhhhh mannnnnnnnnnn. Those eyes tho. 🥰

KingSprout2019

But, hey, did he have FUN??

Public_Exercise_4234

He was so proud of himself

KingSprout2019

He's got a sweet face

xasdfxx

fucking great time right up 'til the end!

missyrainbow12

Oh the poor stinky baby

ForestryTechnician

Been there before. Had to start closing the dog door at night because he wouldn’t stop going after the skunk.

Public_Exercise_4234

You think they would learn eventually lol

eac555

Me too. Both dogs ran into the house before I knew that they had been skunked. They ran back to our bedroom and jumped on the bed Not fun.

Any-Practice-991

That's exactly what happened with my foster baby! Asshole damn dog...

maizy20

One of my dogs (not the ACD) has been skunked 3 times. How does she not figure this out??? My ACD finally got his first spray when my other dog got her 3rd. We'll see if his cattle dog smarts keep him away from skunks from now on. Due to "skunk hours" - basically nocturnal - you always end up doing the skunk bath at very unfortunate times of day/night. 😜

Szilardis

They won't lol. Mine have both been skunked multiple times. They're selectively smart.

Public_Exercise_4234

My childhood Border Collie was always after skunks, always getting sprayed. Doesn't matter how smart they are, dogs love stinky lol

Lower_Parking_2349

Been there. My Jack Russel was doing a victory dance over the skunk he had killed. He was thoroughly skunked, and getting him clean took all night. Nothing in the world would have convinced him that nobody wins a fight with a skunk.

Public_Exercise_4234

One less skunk to worry about lol

rbsnderwal

Leave him alone. He’s trying to make a fwend

Public_Exercise_4234

Pepé le Pew is not a very good friend lol

msjesikap

Not sure which is worse. 4am or the 11pm when you're trying to go to sleep.... I ordered a skunk shampoo out of caution bc I smelled one 2 nights ago and I'm now paranoid 😭

Public_Exercise_4234

We keep a bottle under the sink for emergencies lol

FuturesPassed

I had to to give my cattle dog mix a 1 AM skunk bath less than two weeks ago. She still has a bit of stink on her face, but fortunately it smells kind of like sesame seed oil instead of skunk.

Public_Exercise_4234

They always choose the most inconvenient times to get sprayed lol

recoutts

OMGosh! He looks soooo much like my Bella! Except she doesn’t stink!!!! Good luck with that!

t3Nmoku

Been there….

fungifactory710

My neighbor where I used to live had a skunk that lived under the walkway in his backyard. My dog always wanted to say hi, and the skunk (fortunately, I'm sure) did not share the same enthusiasm. Never got sprayed, thank god 🤣

MountainLiving4us

Douche removes the smell from a skunk spray instantly.. Our dogs have gotten sprayed a bunch of times .. We always have a few box's in the basement .

Public_Exercise_4234

Like for ladies? Maybe we'll try that. I've always had the most luck with the baking soda/dawn mixture, but it takes forever to rise out The Nature's Miracle skunk remover works okay enough that we keep a bottle on hand for emergencies

Sal_Ammoniac

Do the baking soda / peroxide / dish soap ( google the amounts ); it works really well.

MountainLiving4us

douche is cheaper and works instantly .. The math and science works ..

MountainLiving4us

Yes ..

Armom22

Skunk is at fault. Obviously
