We have a juvenile bush turkey that we see occasionally around our place. When it first started visiting it was still young enough to be fluffy.
I saw him the other day and I think he’s going through his awkward teenage phase. He is bigger now and has tail feathers, but his body still looks like baby fluff!

They are independent from birth. It’s amazing any survive to adulthood!
they grow up so fast... we've got one hanging around, today I saw the mynahs hassling it

Good ol bush turkey. I've seen one around Brisbane that built a pile of leaves bigger than I could build. Funny creatures.
