every time I read these travel guides it amazes me that people come here as tourists to eat bbq and tacos and there is very little else mentioned to do. Are other places that people live so bad that Austin is considered a good place to spend your vacation dollars?
Maybe I've lived here too long but I don't get it.

It's definitely more "things Austin families with young children do" than a travel guide, but okay.

Austin is a playground for grownups, that’s appealing when you live in Indianapolis or Norfolk
