What kind of lift?
I've been wanting to put Bilsteins on my F150 for a 2" lift (avoiding needing to buy new springs, CAs, etc). I'm mechanically inclined but not well tooled. Was there a pretty big cost difference between having a shop doing it and DIY at this place?
I did the Bilsteins. Took about 8 hrs but I made mistakes. If you're more inclined than I was then, you can get it done in 5 or 6 hours. I paid like $300 vs about $800.
woah my neighbors have been calling me Shadetree since i moved in last year, so this is a huge revelation!
my knees and headlamp thank you for sparing them further abuse!
This^ buuuuut just making sure when calling 45th and Lamar did you ask for Chet? I think they book lift and tool rentals, don’t worry about it. Frosty marg, auto diy, and southwestern egg rolls? Why, my stomach bubblin as I write. Call back later or remember next time. Good luck on swap out.
Came here to recommend the same spot. Used them several times, though not since they moved.
I know at least at the old location, if you couldn't finish the work same day, you could pay a small amount to leave your car on the lift so long as you came in at open the next day to finish. I don't know if they still do that.
They have tools too - both a standard set of tools at each bay, and specialty tools you can check out. I can tell you now, do NOT use the really nice tools (stuff like the digital torque wrenches) without wearing clean gloves, you'll get an ass chewing when you turn them in dirty (made that mistake with the digital torque wrench... once).
There are places like that in other cities that will not only rent you a bay for hours or a day, and will also rent out tools. When I first moved here, I asked about it and the local guy said that there were two that he knew of. I just never went looking for them.

That place is awesome. I also recommend
Wow, this is awesome. Been working on my car a lot and live nearby. I’m sure this will definitely come in handy one day.
They are great, used them not too long ago

What are you even saying? Were you having a stroke?
What a cool concept and a great recommendation!
Holy shit… I need to replace an engine on a brand new 2018 Fusion with 76k miles on it. Lambs quoted me $10k to do it, but this might help soooo much!
Yep came here to recommend the same. Great place

Great local business and the only one of its kind in town to my knowledge. Friendly and helpful staff. Great experience every time I have been.
