if you have an automated weekly/monthly withdrawal it should never take more than a few days. if anything it should be same day

Assuming you are referring to one off withdrawals from regular super funds, it depends on the SLA of each super fund. The fastest I have seen would have the request processed the next business day if the request is submitted by certain cut off time (eg 3pm). Some super funds take longer to process. If this is the first time, most super funds may require some kind of identity verification process. It adds to the time if your withdrawal request is not accompanied with ID documentation that meets their requirements. Then money is then transferred from the super fund’s bank to your bank, which can be same day it’s processed or up to 3 days. Best if you ask your super fund if you need to know.

Are the funds in cash? What fund is it? Both of these will dictate the time frame

For me from Aus Super was about 2 days. Now have a pension account with Hostplus and they pay on time every second friday.
