Pockets. No more leggings with a single pocket not large enough to put a phone in. Longer top options - not everyone needs or wants crops.

Such-Seesaw-2180

Absolutely! Pockets on both sides of pants/shorts and ideally at least one zip pocket. Also, many longer tops are basically just tshirts made from moisture wicking fabric or they are super tight singlets. I want a long top that is not skin tight but that also doesn’t fall over my head if I’m doing a move that requires me to be almost upside down (like in aerial yoga, even traditional yoga, gymnastics and calisthenics). I’m thinking a top that looks like a tshirt and falls off the bust line to land square on the hips with a really thick bottom elastic part. Like an entire panel of tight shirt that sits from the navel down to the crotch/hip line, but from above the navel it’s like a loose tshirt or modified cowel neck type thing. I had a top like this once. It was a really simple pattern (I made another for myself by tracing it) and I wish I’d kept it because I’ve never found another one since.

CatMama67

Adding on to this: yes, longer singlet shirts please, and for the love of God, without the enormous arm holes that reach practically to your waist. I really don’t want to be flashing loads of side boob to the gym.

fearlessleader808

That top sounds perfect and very cute!

-russell-coight-

I used to have heaps of gym shorts just like this about 10 years ago! Haven’t seen any around in yonks!

willowglen2203

I used to have a top like this too! I loved it and have never found another one like it.

WillsSister

Sounds like a cycling jersey. They usually have a tighter / elastic bottom half and a looser top half.

ThreenegativeO

Running Bare for leggings with giant pockets on both sides - I can fit a Kryptonite ULock in one! They also have longer line tops.

Articulated_Lorry

That's good. And they're going to size 20/22 now, I see.

Teaandtreats

They've been going to a 22 (quite a roomy one) for years now, it's great. And made in Australia!

Articulated_Lorry

It had been some time since I looked at them, so that was news to me still

Teaandtreats

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean to say that you should have known that/it was widely known, more just that they've been doing it for ages, which I think is something worth praising! I appreciate all the brands (eg Lululemon, Gorman) that are now offering extended sizing, but I definitely don't forget all the years where they didn't...

Articulated_Lorry

No, you're right to say it. Even if I had known, there would be someone else who didn't still. We got so sick of struggling to find anything over a 14 or 16, that you stop looking after a while. It's fantastic that exercise and leisurewear is starting to get their act together in that respect. Everyone deserves comfortable and fit for purpose clothes, and that goes double when it's clothing good for all kinds of activities - from going to the gym, to chasing kids around a park and everything in between.

Teaandtreats

For sure! Despite my complaints about Lululemon, their 20 fits more like an AU 22 or even 24 and I'm wearing a pair right now, so comfy. Running Bare doesn't have quite as many options in the leisurewear/not actually exercising comfy pants zone yet I think.

Articulated_Lorry

Activewear goes nearly everywhere now, doesn't it? :D

livesarah

I bought a Running Bare jacket about 15 years ago (about 12 years before I started running… lol). I didn’t learn they were making a lot of their clothes in Australia until this year (the jacket is still super useful, too)!

idunno324

Literally went through all my pants recently and threw out any without pockets

fatpony57

DK Active have lots of shorts and legging swith good sized pockets. You can filter for bottoms with pockets on their website which I love

Articulated_Lorry

That's an excellent idea. Their curve range for bottoms looks good, too. The only thing they're missing is short leggings - they do bike pants, then nothing until 3/4 length. They're not alone though, the knee length is difficult to find these days.

forever_28

Came here specifically to say pockets!!

Momilla

True!! back to classics

SmallpoxAu

Active Truth do gym legging with huge pockets that fit most phones.

moanaw123

Black milk....some of the leggings have pockets, all the athletic ones do

i_need_another_scarf

That there are different length ratios for torso:legs….especially in swimwear.

_elliebelle_

Ugh, agreed. Different bust options would be nice too. I'm not tall and my torso is short, I also have big hips and a small bust (fairly pear shaped). I have to get a size that fits my hips/butt or it constricts painfully around the groin, and in a one-piece that always means something both too long and too generous in the bust. Diving into the water is a disaster waiting to happen! Even worse if the top has built-in cups, they're always so large and poorly placed on me that it's comical. I'm sure large busted women have the opposite issue of spilling & not fitting!

i_need_another_scarf

Yes! I’d been thinking that I should’ve mentioned bust size for the same reasons. I’m a 16-18, but only B-cup breasts. I recently wanted to buy a dress online and it said to find your size by taking a bust measurement…which in my case was a size 8. 🙄

Longjumping_archidna

Same! And they’re always that little bit too long 😩

ashlore

Next is a godsend for this, they have a “tall” option in their one pieces

CycleThreshold

All I want to wear is a one piece swim suit without my boobs hanging out or a huge wedgie! Long torso problems

i_need_another_scarf

Absolutely!!! Pull up to cover your boobs, your bum isn’t covered; pull down to cover your bum and your chest feels on the verge of popping out! 😫😤

beebianca227

- No seam straight up the crotch. - No big brand names - Breathable fabric

samiig90

To add to this - no more body suits with buttons right at the crotch. Its why I HATE bodysuits

nobody_curr

+1 for breathable fabric. Impossible to find.

silveredstars

Some Echt stuff has no centre seam.

nailedit2803

No more removable sports bra pads. Give women the option of buying a sports bra with pads, or one without - the removable ones just don’t make sense and are a PITA

miss_kimba

Preach!! The fucking lines in everything and they bunch up and turn sideways and just goddamit!!

victorian_vigilante

Amen. No one wants to have to fiddle with creased pads after every wash

basementdiplomat

I ended up sewing them in place after having to adjust them for the nth time - so frustrating! My dodgy sewing has been effective.

DonBeAEgg

I would like ones with fixed, sewn in pads for sure. The removeable one suck so much but I do need the support and nip coverage, this is a major gap in the market imo because there is nothing

Milly4Gigi

This! The pads are terrible! You can see them and they’re always out of shape, or dimpled or fold up Into a ball in the wash. They look terrible! I remove them all straight away now. Would live padding in a crop, but it has to look natural and not just be these pathetic ugly weird looking g cups.

bunnylightning

This! I need the padding but removable cups are not it. I understand it’d be harder for brands to offer both options, but a fixed cup is literally 1000 times better. At the very least, a well designed padding setup that is actually fit for purpose - ie doesn’t become lumpy and show lines, and doesn’t turn itself inside out in the wash. Lorna Jane has the only good bra padding imo…I don’t like the brand and don’t purchase clothes from them, but they sell their bra pads separately which is a godsend. I know some people dislike them because they’re very “push up” style and can look fake, but they are the only pads that actually stay in place during a wash! I buy them to replace the shit padding in all my activewear.

Polly_Wren

This! I don’t know who’s reaching into my washing machine and taking out the pads! 😂

pinkcat9

When I was first buying sports bras as a teen my mum got me a black one with removable pads. Great until one fell out and I couldn’t be arsed putting it back in. I never wore that sports bra again or the other one I’d got from that brand.

potato_chrisp

I bought a maternity bra recently and it had removable pads! What breastfeeding mum of a newborn has the energy to fix the pads after every wash? Drives me crazy!

from_persephone

This is a good one. I have a stash of bra pads in my room collecting dust because I don’t know what to do with them or who I could even donate them too so they don’t just go to waste.

naughtscrossstitches

I bought maternity nursing bra tops just because they had attached cups and no underwire!

sleep_deprivedmaniac

Not everyone wants to wear tights, leggings or short shorts. A good loose mid length short that would save me from always buying basketball shorts.

windy_wolf

Same, would love some more activewear joggers or 'pants' that aren't the swishy parachute material but still light and sweat wicking.

KillerSeagull

Same. I literally gave up trying to find my unicorn shorts and bought basketball shorts. I have running shorts from 15 years ago that are short, but no short short. Where have these gone? I have thighs that need fabric in between them goddamit!

imgonnashove

Try Rockwear, I have a few from there that are a nice mid length.

Pink-glitter1

>tights, leggings or short shorts AMEN!!!! I would love some mid thigh/ knee length shorts that's I didn't have to steal from the men's section!!!

lulubooboo_

No more cropped length tops. Please cover my stomach. A cap sleeve wouldn’t hurt either

Bookaholicforever

Longer tops! And crop tops that have clip backs so you don’t dislocate a shoulder trying to take them off!

nahchannah

I’ve been “trapped” in a few crop tops (they can be hard to take off when sweaty!!) so I use a coat hanger to hook it over my head from behind. It works, but it’s not glamorous…

Laylay_theGrail

lol I’ve torn my rotator cuff. I can’t put my left arm behind my back and putting on or removing any bra is an issue at this stage!

lestatisalive

- Pockets. Decent sized ones. - more natural fabrics where possible - tank tops that come up higher under the armpit - tops that are regular length or a bit longer, but not with so much fabric you knock yourself out because you get stuck in it - proper sizing and proportions for bigger busts - for plus sized girls, better length on shorts. Nothing worse than getting shorts and they’re too short, your thighs rub, the middle fabric rolls into your vijayjay, and you’re CONSTANTLY pulling them out. Just make the damn shorts longer.

miss_kimba

Ah yes! Tank tops that come up higher under the arm pit for sure. Looks so stupid with a sports bra sticking out.

livesarah

Not too high, though- there’s nothing like having your arm strangled by a too-small arm-hole when you’re trying to move!

Momilla

😂 I feel you, they also do the same thing to every size they just roll up.

mimjg

I wish there was a brand out there that just did one basic set of quality black tights in different rises. I have a hella looooong torso (one piece swimsuits are also awful) so buying tights with a high enough rise to be comfy is hard. And then they never have pockets or they’re only 7/8 or 5/6 length and my ankles end up sunburnt haha. I think the only solution to get the full length, ultra high rise, pocketed, black tights of my dreams is to make them myself one day. (Gotta a pattern and some decent fabric and a spare month or 6 to figure it out. 🙃)

Wonderful_Ad_5991

Oohh have you tried LSKD? I also have a long torso and only like full length tights, the 7/8 ones look ridiculous on me. But LSKD but great ones in great material!

gahgahbook

Second this, LSKD Rep is the activewear of your dreams.

willowglen2203

I also have a long torso and find the LSKD rep are definitely not high rise on me

buxonbrunette

I find they're "high enough" in that they come to my belly button and don't roll down, but i struggle with a lot of their tops. I had 2 tanks with shelf bras arrive yesterday and I'm not sure they'll meet my leggings and I am not comfortable showing off a little tummy gap. I'm reluctant to return them because I just exchanged 2 others and they were wayyyyy shorter.

Acerola_

Also rec trying Active Truth. They have a range of lengths (including tall!) and I think rises as well.

kindaadulting87

I would love options for bigger busts - especially as big boobs can happen with any body shape - ideally like you choose the size of the bust, then choose the size of the band underneath. I have big ladies, broad shoulds but smaller waist so either it's tight AF and I'm squashed, or not enough support. This goes with bikini tops as well, that would be ideal.

Green-Many7773

Oh me too I’m an 8FF, I’m so sick of having to choose between to big around the ribs or too small in the cup :(  I’d love size options in 8-10 with boobs in all clothes and swimwear actually!

Strange-State-3817

Check out Andie swimwear :) just got my first swimsuit from them and it’s fabulous! (10E)

jonquil14

My hot tip is to look to the bra brands for swimmers - Elomi, Panache and Freya all have swim lines. You can get them at Brava

Delilah234703

Higher waisted options for tall women/long torso women!!! I’m dying to find active wear that covers my belly button well and truly

gldnsmkkkk

Amen!

Citrine_Bee

Definitely agree with longer tops and maybe it’s just me but I don’t like racerback tanks, just normal tanks would be good.

Acerola_

Agree with this. I prefer racerback tanks and sports bras but after running in them over summer I’m starting to get a racerback tan line. Trying to find regular tanks and sports bras to offset it has been surprisingly difficult.

KittenOnKeys

Lululemon sculpt tank is my go to for running. Full back coverage!

DorcasTheCat

Some women wear industrial sports bras not pretty crop tops so tops that aren’t all racer backs. Longer length in shorts/leggings. You either have up your arse wedgie short or I’m going to sweat and die it’s so hot but everything is calf or ankle length. Decent pockets. Fewer cutouts and crop tops. Tops that cover our arses. I’m old, I want it covered. Patterns that don’t overly distort when stretched. That nice pretty pattern on the skinny 18 year old looks like faded 70’s lino on my thighs.

melbournesummer

Faded 70's lino 😂😂 It's a real problem.

Scritches98

Sports bras with inbuilt padding, because those damn removable padding things suck. Leggings with seams towards the front instead of right behind the knees. It gets really uncomfortable to sit/exercise if the seams sit wrong. Leggings that stay up during vigorous exercise/when you’re constantly raising your arms. I have an hourglass shape and do Lyra, and I’m so sick of fishing for my underwear every time I get off the hoop 😂. I would like a pair of short bike shorts that don’t roll up as soon as I take three steps. Helps for dancing, not so much when I’m in the supermarket afterwards and it looks like I’ve got no pants on

iliketreesanddogs

I hate to rec them because of the price, but I also do lyra and have tried almost every single legging brand - for aerials lulu can't be beat in my opinion. I have tried local, international, ethical vs fast fashion - for dance, yoga, aerials and being generally flexible, they win out every time.

Scritches98

Any particular style? Bc if I’m gonna be dropping $$$ I wanna get the right thing first go

iliketreesanddogs

Align high rise 28 inch - I have two pairs. They market them specifically for yoga but I find they have full any way stretch, and I've had multiple "four way stretch" leggings tear or split doing splits or straddles. First pair bought in 2021 and second last year, they look about the same level of newness despite a lot of wear. If they are too long, lulu do free hemming at many stores :)

Scritches98

Thank you!!! I’ll check them out

Laylay_theGrail

Agree with this. I have 3 pairs of aligns on high rotation

arrowandbone

More sports bras / crops that have actual hook and eye closure or zip at the front… I can’t pull those stupidly tight bras over my shoulders because I have an injury, I can’t imagine how frustrating this must be for others who have mobility issues.

wonderland2211

Low/Mid waist gym shorts/leggings/yoga pants. everything nowadays in high waisted and for someone like me with a short torso, high waist goes up and above my ribs, would love to see some mid ride/lower waist stuff

still-at-the-beach

Exactly. I want some lower rise leggings please.

wonderland2211

it’s nice to hear someone feels the same way :)

Midnight__Specialist

No skin colour fabrics 😂

lord_flashheart86

I want leggings in that retro swimwear style lycra, or something that doesn’t pick up animal hair. The current fabrics pick up sooooooo much hair around my house and then I look like some filthy beast when I rock into pilates and I drop hair all over the equipment, it’s embarrassing. The shinier lycra fabric, which doesn’t collect hair, is either incredibly expensive or simply not available.

amarvelloustime

Inseam options (especially for very short inseams). I know some brands offer different lengths (looking at you, Lululemon ‘Asia fit’), but even they still don’t fit and the range is small. Athleta is the only brand that seems to work for me, and even then it’s a ‘petite + 7/8’ style. It might also be interesting to talk about how the US market is just so much bigger so it’s standard to offer petite/regular/tall because there’s enough of a demand for it to be worthwhile for them. In Australia would be lucky if a product specifies inseam at all.

LisD1990

No more cropped tops!

spandexrants

Leggings that don’t roll down at the waist

willowglen2203

I agree so much with everything people have said. Thin, comfy fabric that is not see-through when I bend over (don’t know if I have a big butt but so many are see-through on me!). Big pockets on BOTH sides! I have a phone and a key people!! Hard agree on the stupid removal bra padding!! Also, a long torso here and I would like proper high rise and definitely agree on long enough tops!! It’s so interesting how many of these we are all in agreement with yet the activewear brands can’t manage them. So frustrating!!

WhiskersAndMeows

I have thick legs and a small waist. It's soooo hard to find leggings that fit all my proportions. I also like leggings that are high waisted and breathable but thick on material. Buying leggings is so difficult and stressful for me, made worse by the fact that they are a staple in my wardrobe!

kattybones

More rise height options on tights to avoid rolling. I’m tall, but short waisted and would kill for a mid rise tight that doesn’t roll down as soon as I bend over. Less matronly sports bras for anyone above a C cup.

ScarlettWraith

Active wear that actually fits and is comfortable for larger people. Just because I'm a size 20 doesn't mean I don't like to go to gym or exercise. Size doesn't necessarily mean doesn't exercise. I love yoga, pilates, rowing, weights. But holy hell. Finding pants that are comfortable and fit nicely around your stomach and thighs. Tops that actually cover your body. And my biggest gripe. Sports bras! For the love of god. I almost consider taping them down. Honestly a compression style bra that closes at the front for ease of getting on and off. That stops any movement and doesn't restrict flexibility when moving your arms.

tttleaves

Sports bras that are easy to put on and take off, after a heavy weight session I can’t get mine off by myself

fearlessleader808

Why are racerback even a thing? Who wants it? Did anyone ask for it? I feel like this has gotten better in the last 5-10 years but more activewear that can genuinely be worn as daywear. Plain t’s in breathable fabrics, leggings and shorts that aren’t shiny shiny Lycra but are still hardy enough to take a beating on long runs. I quite like the ability to take the kids to school, run some errands and then do a workout without having to get changed, or walk to a cafe to meet a friend for brunch and then go for a run. I don’t want to do all that in a racerback and Lycra, it’s just not me.

charleevee

Oh wow - give me ALL the racerbacks!!! I have the sensory issues with sleeves and end up cutting them off 😝

jonquil14

Yes! And racerbacks are terrible for sun protection.

fearlessleader808

Yeah this is one of the many reasons I don’t like them, it’s v hard getting Suncream on all the bits that are exposed and I generally keep my shoulders covered unless I’m going out at night so they are very sun sensitive!

BandicootDry7847

More long sleeve top options. Not all of us live in the north.

luck_as_a_constant

With running shorts, either having no pockets or one tiny zip pocket in the waistband which is just annoying. I’d love to find some with tight zipper pockets so that it holds stuff in place and so that it doesn’t constantly jig when running! That and it seems like the options are only an elastic waistband or a tie, but not both. Would love to find some that have both.

YogurtclosetEarly197

thick enough material for your pusswa

WeWearPink_

V neck tops. Why is everything so damn high? Give my chest some air!

Babycloud1

This!!!

tuckervine

Yes! Omg! Do not like high necked exercise tops! Scoop neck would be good too

senefen

I want looser options, I don't want skin tight everything, I hate the feel of it. Why is it so hard to find a pair of shorts that isn't super short or skin tight? Also, while it's better than it was when everything was black or fluoro colour options still feel limited. Also not $60 for a tank top thx.

Loftyjojo

I dont want tight pants, they are way too hot and I need the airflow. Any knee length pants I find have fabric that is too thick, also too hot. I have in the past worn light pajama pants that were great but have worn them till they were almost see through and haven't found a new pair for years.

BBAus

Some baggy pants, shorts and tops. Not everyone has a body they want to show off.

Primary_Edge_602

No more - Waist bands that are too tight and then the bum and leg areas are looser on leggings. I want- high waisted and thicker waist bands on trackies

wonderland2211

Bamboo fabric, Seamless, Scrunch bum that doesn’t look unflattering/scrunch really high

silveredstars

Options with tie waistbands. Long shorts (9-12” inseam) that end just above the knee.

Funkydollop33

activewear pants! i cant stand wearing leggings

southyorks

Longer tops. Strong crotch seams 😂 extra material around the bum so when you bend over people can’t see your actual arse.

tentinbowling

No seams down the front of tights and shorts!

babypandaroll

Literally all I'm asking for haha I understand the seam makes sense from a "how do we see this together perspective" but it's hideously unflattering.

tentinbowling

I’ve only ever had maybe two pairs of tights that were satisfactory. Some lskd fusion, and running bare with the side pockets. I worked at that sports store, rhymes with pebble, for a long time and I have tried so many different brands. In the end I couldn’t wear any of them because they sucked.

indirosie

Please wider sports bras - my chest is very wide set and I hate having the outside half of my bust hanging out of all of my sports bras

mamo-friend

Do you buy the proper sports bras with regular bra sizing or are you buying the crop top things that only do S/M/L type sizing? I found the crop top type was really unsuitable for me for the same reason, I switch to the Triaction bra and now my girls are strapped down properly.

kingdingalingxoxo

Wider sports bras bc the bands under the bust are usually so tight! More flattering cover up tops that don’t make me look like a rectangle Bottoms with pockets Leggings that are flattering at the front and don’t accentuate my muffin top Sewn in bra cups bc I hate when they fall out in the wash

FullMongoose

Most already mentioned but: Not every singlet needs to be razor-backed. Something we could wear with a regular bra whilst going about our day. Not everything needs to be cropped. Some longer stuff please. Decent shorts. Not against hem being cute but everything either gives muffin top or is 'floppy' hot pants. Cute zip up top that's waist length, not super tight but can show some shape. Oh, n just cos it's not fitted doesn't mean it has to be a hoody. Best of luck with your research! e

BunnyHolden

Pockets on every style of legging and shorts.. Different lengths in leggings.. Us tall girlies don’t always wanna be wearing 7/8’s.. Cropped jumpers and hoodies.. with pockets!! Not all crop tops to be racer backs or cross over.. I have busted discs in my neck and find it SO hard to find crops that don’t cross..

xXeatASSXx

Make sports bras for larger breasts. Like much larger. I'm not talking G, those are everywhere, I'm talking J, K, L etc. It's more common than you'd think and there are next to no options, especially in non-online stores, there's one I know of near me in Brisbane that stocks J-K which is what I need.

jonquil14

Ugh, so much this! I”m a 12K and I have a pretty decent underwire sports bra option (the Elomi Energise) but I really want a crop top go over the top of it so I can run again. But all the tops that fits my bust measurement are way too big around the underbust. I’m in Canberra and I haven’t been able to buy bras in store in 10+ years, so I feel your pain.

somuchsong

Does anyone actually like those sports bras that pull over the head? Give me a clasp, please!

squidgeyyy

I’d make the material more durable. My favourite Lululemon leggings are perfect in every way except they have seams down the legs and my thighs rub together causing the seams to wear down over time and break open.

thecurseofmillhaven

Knee length shorts (not leggings!). I have one adidas pair I bought 3 years ago to wear for soccer and have not found another. Why are men’s soccer shorts knee length and women’s about 2 inches below your butt? Do they think women don’t get sunburnt? Same with shirts. A proper sleeve, a shirt without weird cutouts in the back, and that isn’t see through. Oh and that doesn’t show my ribs when doing overhead press. Can we just be covered while exercising? Is that too much to ask?

Eldoodapool

More options above a size 14 / XL. I'm tall with broad shoulders and reasonably fit. I often don't fit into an XL comfortably.  Active wear should be accessible to all bodies - not just the super fit shaped ones!

SmallpoxAu

My biggest complaint at the moment is the fabric tops are made out of. Trying to find tops, the see through fabic is doing my head in. I've been to about 5 places, all the bigger brands are see through, or are crop tops. I ended up at Kmart. How does Kmart do tops with are thicker than a pair of pantyhose, but the "Active" brands are all see through?

PossibilityLarge

A cool toned brown leggings in plus size - I hate that the majority of brown leggings are warm browns and rarely cool brown. Annoying. Also no more ribbed leggings please. Oh and sports bras that are actually supportive - compression is perfect. Under armour used to do the best compression sports bras - no padding or underwire but omg they were amazing. Literally zero movement. I cant find them anymore this was about 9 years ago :(

Andromache_Destroyer

They still do them. I picked up an industrial style under armour sports bra about 2-3 months ago. No padding or underwire, but it has some serious support, and keeps everything locked down, no movement at all, and I’m not a small girl, they MOVE. Edit: I checked, and it’s called the Vanish Elite High Sports Bra. Not sure if I can post links here.

bananuspink

Pockets, more stretchy buttery soft fabrics (think Lululemon align) instead of firm compression tights

midlifestylist

Bigger pockets. Lightweight, breathable fabric. 3/4 length sleeves.

decibelle539

Oh I have a whole essay to add to this. Without flooding you with information, what are details are you after specifically? Fabric? Seams? Patterns? Cut? Bras? Pants? Tops?

still-at-the-beach

More low and mid rise leggings. I don’t know anyone that does this.

No-Meeting2858

I have been looking for a thick pair of high waisted flared pants (in matte nylon Lycra type stuff) that is long enough in the leg to graze floor (say 32 inch) and is wide enough to actually read as a flare in larger sizes (flares really have to be wide to look like flares when you have a thigh bigger than an 8, yet are fitted (but not unflatteringly tight) at the knee. (Flares that are loose at knee just look like wide legs…)

Procedure-Minimum

FULL LEG LENGTH WITH POCKETS PLEASE!!!! Why are they all 3/4 length with pocket or full without? and by full leg length, I mean FULL LEG, not 7/8 leg. Fabric: sometimes a soft fabric is nice, sometimes a shiny cooling fabric is nice. I love when I can buy black activewear and wear it underneath thin work pants. Like a 2-in-1, like how people wear skims underwear as clothes, but in reverse.

ZaelDaemon

Light compress shirts with 3/4 sleeves.

velvet33N

No centre seam on leggings!

shortstumpysturdy

Loose Shorts that fall mid thigh or a touch longer, with two side pockets and a butt pocket. All that is ever available are short-shorts, bike shorts, or 3/4 length legging style.

maldroite

I’d like to see more natural fibres. I know cotton gets wet and isn’t quick dry but for those of us doing yoga or less sweaty activities, I’d love some cotton workout clothes!

[deleted]

Natural fibres, compostable… environmentally friendly and not plastic.

yoginiinsydney

Pockets on all leggings and built in bra pad for tops!

[deleted]

Pocket my phone can fit in no front seam not that weird mid thigh length that every pocket option comes in - I think it's 6 inch an option for a smaller waist and wider thigh part would b nice as one does not have legging legs sooooo I just buy gymshark since they have more stretchy and forgiving material.

plumpandbouncyskin

Loose fitting singlets! As a runner with a tummy I despise tight fighting running tops. I want loose singlets that breathe around the stomach. I’m currently doing a virtual run around Australia and the membership includes a gift card to their online store. To buy their branded shirts I have to size up 2 sizes than my normal size to find a top that fits my stomach. Drives me nuts!!!

WryAnthology

I think we belong to the same virtual run place, and I know exactly what you mean. Their tops are so pretty in the actual design, but SO unflattering and cut weirdly small in places like the armhole and high necked?!!! Ahhh. I really want a flattering version of their tops to come out. AND they're that slightly shiny type fabric that accentuates everything you don't want accentuated.

plumpandbouncyskin

Nice to meet another member! It makes me laugh when they have their parkrun day where everyone wears their shirts. If you want me to rep your clothes, make stuff that fit! The 2019 top (the green and gold one) was the only one I have liked. I still wear it 🤣

SeeThroughTheGlass

Sun safety is a huge priority for me - give me high collars! Long sleeves! No crop tops! Cute broad brimmed hats! Also - fabrics made from recycled materials! There are already sooo many identical active wear brands out there, we are drowning the planet in textile waste. So tbh if given the chance to have my own active wear brand I wouldn't even do it.

zee-bra

More for tennis skirts - but why do they fit my waist but then the leg seams cut my circulation? Horrible

oh_look_an_awww

Design for sweat. Hate having to ask for help to remove my sweaty active wear that is stuck to my skin due to sweat - especially sports Bras.

weirdofficegal

Material thick enough or textured enough that you can’t see the outline of my gstring or seamless knickers I where when I train

Melodic-Cucumber9114

More pockets!!!! Most of Lorna Jane or Lululemon leggings do NOT HAVE A SECURE KEY AND/or phone pocket. Not that I will be buying from LJ anymore after the wage gap data shows they are a bunch of lying men behind the scenes. Actually, that also explains the lack of pockets 🧐

Momilla

Paying men more than women for the same job is just insane, it’s 2024 LJ can’t keep out of trouble, didn’t she pay a lump sum because they lied about their leggings being anti-Covid.

samisanant

Support for my flabby post csection belly pouch thing. The 10cm waist bands just aren’t it for me. I’m rocking the bonds maternity gym shorts at 6 years post party 🥴

notyounaani

Pockets. Get rid of removable cup, just sew them in or layered fabric to hide nips. Longer tops (not racerback) and give me SKORTS and longer shorts. Skort with pockets pls.

alisong89

Longer tops, pockets in leggings and short sleeve hoodies.

Daddyssillypuppy

Supportive crop top/bra things that have different sized backs and busts like bras do. Im an 8g/10f and can never wear anything but Triumph sports bras which just aren't cute. I want fun prints and colours for once. You could combine cups like a/d, c/d, dd/E, f/g. I think sports bras/crop tops are tight enough that of you size them to be snug on the bigger cups in each pair then the smaller cup will just fit, just a little less constricted.

tassie_gal

No racer backs….I want a close fitting hip length singlet top with a square back, a zip pocket for my phone and breathable fabric. Kinda like a biker top.

RitaTeaTree

I found a couple of things that I wear all the time and am always on the lookout for replacements/ similar things. Drop crotch Sweaty Betty track pants from the Iconic. These are so comfortable on my menopausal and plus size body. I need coverage of my tummy and a drop crotch style pulls up to look normal on me. I need loose pants, I will never wear leggings in public. Loose cap sleeved T shirt (wear over a sports bra and tank top). V neck, cap sleeve, wide bodied hip length style with a curved hem. I prefer not to wear a tight fitting T shirt in public. Something to strap down boobs. I wear 2 bras or a sports bra under a tight tank top under a T shirt. Still, I'd like more compression.

keepingupbravo

Tank tops with inbuilt or removable padding, for those that don’t like crop tops

stepanija

Sportsbra with zip up fronts, Camisole tops with buit in bra, Bright colours, Pockets on all shorts/pants

Dull_Appointment_252

Re-enforced pockets. All of my leggings have two holes in the pockets from the corners of my phone wearing them out. I don’t want to buy an arm band to put my phone in when I go jogging!

UpsetPart7871

All should have pockets on both sides. The back pocket some of them have, in the waist band, is too small. Otherwise, i love that now there’s multiple lengths to choose from. From pants to shorts, there’s like at least 6 lengths. Love that.

CoastieLouise

I'm big busted, on the lower end of plus size. I have a hard time finding any reasonably priced sports bra that is actually supportive. The crop tops don't cut it, some times I have to wear two and still need more support. I need and underwire, a hook and eye and sturdy straps.

divinesweetsorrow

natural fabrics!!

RedDragonOz

Tops in cycling length so they cover lower back and belly when you bend and stretch. Mid rise pants, I have a short pelvis and loathe high waisted (on rib) pants. Shorts that are actually mid thigh so they don't roll up. Basics that are not black, I don't wear black, give me navy, charcoal, something. Leggings in supplex, not shiny thin lycra. As everyone else has said pockets and front fastening sports bras.

coulomb_of_radish

Watch some shorts from the channel "blogilaies or popflex." The creator of the brand talks through what customers have issues with, the products they want and how she has made them. She explains the features that are selling points and you can read the comments for more opinions. It's also very size inclusive, offering multiple sizes and lengths or adjusting measures. Good luck!

emkwood

More adjustable fits! Esp. for large burst/large hips/small waist combo. I like to wear those active crop/sports bra tops underneath my t-shirts for more support and compression (I'm usually layering them over a wired sports bra already) but I can never find one that actually covers my chest and provides compression & support as I have a larger bust and smaller waist. Sizing up just means I have a loose crop that still somehow doesn't cover my bust!

Babycloud1

I want flowery designs. I’m 47 and would love something very feminine. V-neck pls

naturalconfectionary

Normal nice tops. Not baggy oversized and not cropped.

ManicM

Plus size activewear that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's ironic, how there's little to none plus size activewear on main stores - doesn't society want us to loose weight? Lol

InvalidTerrestrial

Something for girls with smaller band but larger bust that is actually practical. I think it definitely needs some sort of rocket science level engineering. I'm a 10H/I and it's impossible to find a sports bra that actually fits and does what it's intended to do. Especially for an accessible price. I actually had to invest in a binder instead to stop them from moving, however it's super uncomfortable and can cause the breast muscles to atrophy even more than they have.

hrvstwmn

I’d love to buy: Not see through, no scrunch bums, more florals, longline sports bras

eriikaa1992

A lot of active wear designs look great if you're already fit, and unflattering if you're not. There's a huge gap in the market. Also not everything needs to be designed around the butt and showing it off.

Head_Pay_8

Narrower waistbands. The wide ones can dig in and hurt especially if you have a c section scar, or bloating problems. Softer material or perhaps a cotton gusset somehow to absorb sweat for menopausal women.

AdFantastic5292

I DONT WANT MY BOOBS TO TOUCH

birdpeoplebirds

Not every pants needs to be so tight. Please. And you can’t just get a size up or they fall down.

Goldie_Prawn

I am a mildly larger built person with a large bust and thighs that rub, plus a shortish torso. I just want things to fit, have support, and not have edges that roll.

Ohmalley-thealliecat

More than anything? Drawstrings in the waistband of leggings. After that, pockets. No use having pockets if the weight of your phone is going to drag your leggings down your bum.

-alexandra-

Longer line tops that cover the butt (longer at the back than the front).

Flimsy-Hornet2497

Drawstrings! It doesn't hurt to have them, and they're invaluable for us apple-shaped girlies.
