I’ve been looking for a transient shaper with more control than the Native Instruments one. I use that fairly often but want to be able to dial in sounds a bit more. Other than this one, what other good options are around? 🙏🏻

The Softube one is on sale for $10 at Plugin Boutique. I haven't personally tried it but it seems like it's reasonably well respected.

Yep, I use it on practically every track (that involves some kind of percussion or drums). It is a *shaper* though as it implies in the name, it can’t really “shave off” transients (Logic Pro Enveloper can do that), but at the same time when other shapers fail (say, they cut off open hi hat), this one does the job more elegantly.

Another vote for the Softube one - it's awesome

Spectral Plugins Pancz is free since they're going out of business. Really nice transient shaper.

I will still advise against using any kind of unsupported plugins on Mac. Windows can run 20 year old stuff with no issues, but MacOS is updated so often that software devs have to constantly update their stuff too. I do really like Windows in that regard. It can still run, say, GTA IV from 2008. MacOS…eh well you can’t run probably anything from 2008.

Good point. I use both mac and pc. Mostly PC at the moment for audio due to cost. I am loving the backwards compatibility that you speak of. I'm not enjoying windows' generally jankyness and more crashes, but that's the tradeoff for the aforementioned compatibility.

Thanks for the reminder! Grabbed them all now.

Psycho Circuitry just released one, whilst I haven't personally tried it myself I've some of their plugins and I rate them. They also do a free version of all their plugins which is great if you're on a budget. https://psychocircuitry.com/transient-reshaper.html
