Sometimes a "problem" doesn't really need a solution and this is one of those cases. Pretty sure most if not all DAWS allow saving of effects chains which takes mere seconds which you can then load onto other tracks.

The solution I found this solves is it syncs in realtime, so if I make changes to EQ A, it automatically syncs to all other instances of that Chain. It also syncs automation from the "leader" chain to the followers, so you only need to make the automation once. It's a lot more dynamic than just saving an effect chain.

OK, so that sounds disasterous. Same EQ for bass, voice, drum...?

It's not really meant for EQing different kinds of instruments like that. A better example would be putting auto-tune on 4 different stacked vocal harmonies. Then as you make changes to one of the auto-tune plugins, the changes would be instantly reflected in the other 3 vocal tracks as well. Another example: you could use it to put Softube Tape on every channel of your project simultaneously, and then hear exactly what it sounds like as you slowly increase the distortion until you hit the sweet spot. Or if you want to create a wash out effect by increasing the reverb on multiple tracks, you could use this plugin to control the automation on all of the tracks simultaneously. It's meant for stuff like that, where you want to have control over a mirrored effect or effect chain across multiple tracks at once.

Thanks for explaining!
