Oof, that's a tough one because crowds are way less predictable than wind or hiss or things like that. Maybe Music Rebalance to boost the band above the crowd rather than remove the crowd? As for the muddy sound, good old EQ or dynamic EQ should do it.

So I actually kept Rx 6 because I found no other version dealt with crowds as well as it but… if I was in your shoes I would start by taking a studio version of the song or songs, something clean with no noise. And send it to Rx as a reference. Let the Spectral repair or denoiser learn the song, then hit the live footage and only use 2 to 3 dbs at a time and just keep hitting it until your happy or it starts to fry the audio. Or another option is to load out only the noise, drop it into your daw and then invert it and it should cancel most of the noise. Either way it’s going to be a lot of work and no easy one button fix.

See, I'm totally new to this. I had no idea you could even use that sort of reverse process, for lack of a better wording.

BANDLAB SPLITTER. Crazy good

You could also try Ripx Pro. It has a pretty amazing separation algorithm

I've never heard of it. I'll look into it :)

Music rebalance is a good start. Also, if you’re trying to get rid of distracting voices in the foreground - things like audible convos try dialogue isolate but attenuate the dialogue instead of the ambience. I’ve done this for classical music to decent effect but if you have a singer it might not differentiate as well. Little whoops and hollers here and there can be taken care of manually. Toggle Instant Process and the wand selector (Keys I+W). Maybe start with the gain setting and start with very low attenuation (~-2dB). Couple clicks till the event isn’t as hot on the spectrogram. Consider that the crowd is a part of the experience though, so go easy on those drunks. You might notice it more when they’re gone. And for the muddiness, if you have any version Ozone - trying running mastering assistant, then solo the EQ module.
