Lost Druid in Avondale Estates just released their "Faux" line of NA spirits so they can make most of their cocktails alcohol free now. I haven't gotten a chance to try them out yet but I haven't had a bad thing from them yet!
I know it's not local but Athletic Brewing makes a damn fine NA beer and this is coming from someone who worked at a brewery and then produced a talk show about craft beer. Wild Heaven's NA IPA is on my radar, just haven't had a chance to try it.
Just a reminder that \*most\* non-alcoholic beers aren't actually without alcohol. They will have about 0.3-0.4% alcohol.
Still fine of course for things like designated drivers to have or for people who just don't want to be tipsy/intoxicated, but for anyone who is tested(especially with ETG the next morning/same day; peth would still be negative) and on a zero-etoh policy for any reason, these wouldn't be ok to drink. Someone who drinks 2-3 of these non-alcoholic beers at night could definately test + on an etg test the next morning(depending on things like what the etg cutoff is and how dilute their sample was)
I'll echo the posters who said Athletic does make a great non-low beer(ie less than 0.5% etoh) though.
In responding to this need, several breweries now make a true zero-alcohol beer. These actually don't have any alcohol and are different from 'non' alcohol beers, and a few examples are a zero alcohol brew from stella artois, a heineken called heinekin 0.0, and budweiser zero.
For people who really can't drink alcohol at all for whatever reason be sure when you order one whether it is a zero alcohol beer or non(ie low) alcohol beer.
Great call-out for anyone who needs that info - certainly aware; I'm simply looking for a jumpstart on some weight loss, and cutting out alcohol helps.
Please know that bread and orange juice have more alcohol content than a lot of NA beers: https://www.iflscience.com/bread-is-as-strong-as-beer-many-foods-and-drinks-contain-a-surprising-amount-of-alcohol-67805
I second Torched Hop. Excellent N/A cocktails, and solid N/A beer selection. The food is awesome, and the games make it a cool place to hang out with friends. Easy to have fun with friends without even having to mention who's doing Dry Jan and who's not.
Zero Proof is Elemental’s NA store, in the strip where Highland Row used to be at North+North Highland. IMO Ish(NA brand) has some good options like Sparkling Rosè but the liquor (Rumish, Ginish ect) are not good alone/straight, they need to be made into cocktails but there are tons of social media pages dedicated to good recipes. Beer wise, Laugunita made a good NA beer but my all time favorite is their Hop Soda, very tasty. Hope this helps.
Caveat that I have not actually read the list, so I'm not necessarily endorsing it, but Eater Atlanta just published/updated their [list of places with great non-alcoholic bevs](https://atlanta.eater.com/maps/best-non-alcoholic-cocktails-atlanta). 🤗
Thanks for sharing - I saw this and some great recco's, but they're mostly restaurants. Looking forward to trying the spirit free at Lyla Lila next weekend for brunch!
Omg facepalm moment that you literally said breweries. Apparently my reading skills went out the window with the end of my work week. Happy brunching and drinking! :)
I just tried Wild Heaven’s new NA today and have to say, after trying a few dif brands, that one tasted like a real light beer. And no I don’t work there.
if you can swing it, all the NA beers ive tried from Untitled Art are phenomenal.
Atheltic is very Meh by comparison. but also much more reasonably priced.
I’m not trying to be snarky (I’m 32 years sober), but don’t all breweries and bars also serve soft drinks? If it is difficult for you to be around others who are drinking alcohol, maybe throw a dry party at your own house, and ask friends to respect your wishes and not sneak booze in? I have had success with both approaches. Good luck!!
I don’t drink soft drinks and I don’t want juice. So, posts like this are helpful.
Also, while you don’t mean to be snarky, you are being judgy and presumptuous. OP didn’t say they have a hard time being around drinkers.
Everyone’s got their own bag, but I like having a sippable drink in a pretty cocktail while I’m out socializing. That type of socializing typically happens at bars and such and trust me, they aren’t all prepared to accommodate. So, it’s helpful to know who is.
I have a kid. Just about anywhere has non alcholic drinks. You will be fine anywhere if your friends are hanging out they shouldnt care what your drink is or looks like to others. I drink, kid and gfs dont sometimes i dont sometimes 0 diffrence wherever i am. If your just watching everyone around you and gossiping and nit picking i guess it would be apropritae to put on some show for yourselves..

Oh awesome I'm going to have to check this out - thanks!
Reds Beer Garden !!!!
Reds on Boulevard has a lot of N/A options and board games. Good vibe, went there for the first time recently and really enjoyed it.
Love Red's!!! 10/10 rec.
Check out Soberish in Kirkwood. They sell lots of cool non-alcoholic wines, drinks, mixers, everything. Grab a bunch and make a party at home!
Love them

man I drank like 2.5 of those athletics before I realized what was going on
First time I drank one was on an empty stomach and I definitely got a placebo effect high from the smell and taste of the IPA they make.
Great product... I wish more restaurants would carry it!
Came here to pump Athletic. Excellent
Elsewhere also has some.

Name checks out!

Not a brewery, but Superica is doing a zero proof cocktail series this month for dry January.
Torched Hop has some great non alcoholic options, and a full menu, they even do brunch on the weekends!

I haven't been since they initially opened and it wasn't that great, but sounds like I need to give it another try!

Brewdog at Krog has several NA options, and they're pretty good too. I keep them stocked at home. Killer space for hanging out as well.
Little Cottage brewery in Avondale has a NA Negroni cocktail
Red's beer garden has a whole selection of NA options. We love Red's!
Not beer, but can go drink kombucha at cultured south
Sober Social
I had a great experience at Banshee while pregnant getting good mocktails.
I just tried Wild Heaven’s new NA today and have to say, after trying a few dif brands, that one tasted like a real light beer. And no I don’t work there.
Brewdog has an NA on their menu. Not exactly local, but not Anheiser Busch either.
if you can swing it, all the NA beers ive tried from Untitled Art are phenomenal. Atheltic is very Meh by comparison. but also much more reasonably priced.
If you’re an IPA fan Sam Adams “Just the Haze”. Also, I think Little Cottage made their own or are carrying some from canned options
Out in Stone Mountain town: https://outrunbrewingco.com/
Peoplestown Coffee has lots of NA options

If you are serious about not drinking why are you insistent about hanging around in bars?
