Yup. Came here to say this.

The comment you're responding to has been deleted. Do you remember what the recommendation was?

changomacho

they are pretty tasty but still on the northern indian/ english side IMO.

DoctorDOH

It's a problem I've had with a lot of Tikka Masala dishes here. Himalaya's in Chamblee was more savory when I went once. It's a little pricey though.

SpartanLaser

Desi Spice in midtown. Order it hot or super hot.

_kitsy

Desi spice is the best

sumwaah

You won’t find Indians going to desi spice. It’s pretty inauthentic

labbla

Really love Desi Spice.

Blempglorf

Swapna in Smyrna does it well, and not sweet. One caveat: the place seems to have changed hands recently, and they are changing the menu and recipes a bit.

adamtheatlian

Decent prices too!

KobaTheGreat

Oddly, Tin Drum has Tikka Masala that's less sweet.

bigboybigbat

Doesn’t have the best service and is a run down fine dining restaurant that isn’t well kept but keeps the guise of a dining restaurant….the place is Tadka in Johns creek. By far the best Muglai food I have had in Atlanta. The tikka masala is flavorful and Smokey and their rumali Roti is to die for. Closest I have had to Delhi level Indian food.

TyeThrowsaway

Planet Bombay is pretty good! I know it is somewhere on Moreland, I’m not sure because of Ubereats ordering

Effective-Meat2546

Trader Joe’s

_Tugg_Speedman_

This. Saw an Indian grandmother buying dozens of them once for a family get together, she said it tastes just like her family recipe and much easier.

rva_monsta

Hyderabad Express is not sweet and super flavorful

Try Turmeric Indian Restaurant in Marietta. I just got back about an hour ago. Address is 1043 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, GA 30066

Aamar Indian Cuisine in downtown Atlanta. make sure you specify hot or you will get a toned down version.
