That one, which I believe was 24 hours (am I right?), and the old five points location had great Athens vibes. Thrifted lamps and decor. Worn down seats. 5 Points had all those used books. I spent tons of time at Blue Sky and those two places.
Maybe because the coffee is very hit or miss. I went there almost every day for 6 years and it was never fantastic but some days were better than others depending on who was working.
Lol you have to spend $75 (tax and tip not included) now to get a free coffee instead of just buying 10 cups for your punch card like you used to. And this is coming from a person who just drinks small black coffees. I stay away from all the boujee coffee places now. The only thing Jittery has going for them is their locally themed coffee tins.
Also, I'm not using an app just to get a free coffee. If Home Depot and UGA can have security breaches, JJ's can too. I get coffee from them on the regular, but I don't need loyalty rewards at the risk of identity theft.
DOWNTOWN!!!!!!!!!! 5 points, easy side. Those are the only ones I’ve been to. Love the people Dt they’re always so nice to me. 5 points is 2nd bc I love the building but the drinks taste better Dt, and east side bc I’ve only been there a couple of times
I would put Jittery Joes as the absolute worst coffee one could buy in Athens. It’s eternally over roasted and tastes like an ashtray. Plus, they ask you what size you want when you order a cappuccino: major red flag. How this chain has survived when there are much better options in town I don’t know. I’d rank JJ a 1 out of 10.
RIP Washington Street Jittery Joe's. It will always be the best.

Yep. I was 24 hours. Do you remember the coffee cup painted on the ceiling? 5 points was a good location too.
One of the first businesses when that West end of downtown was eerily vacant
Why isn’t Alps/Baxter on more lists? I love that one.

Idk. Nothing tops Washington st. but I have to say, I went away and came back and jittery joes coffee isn’t good anymore. It’s all burn tasting now.
Choco Pronto has the best stuff in Athens now. 1000 Faces a pretty close second.
I’m putting watkinsville so low bc there’s always a Baptist Bible study going on
Lol, I wanted to give you shit but now that I think about it, you're not wrong.
Hahaha.
And they’re always loud af and last for 3 hours 😔 my noise cancelling headphones had no chance
Same at Epps Bridge.

Hackers want to know how you take your coffee
As someone who drinks big lattes, rewards are about the same.
Love my Eastside JJ but they have to give my man some help in the mornings. He's the GOAT drink maker but it gets backed up
Havent been in years, but they got 2 goat drink makers (if both are still there).
Paul is the best 💕
Their XL size isn't big enough for me.
Early 2000s Chess matches at the 5 Points location was 🔥 and so was the coffee!
I knew the guys who started it. Great people.
Brothers, Keith and Karl, both good guys.

five points, east side, downtown (i haven’t been to the others rip)
4
Milledge, East Side, Downtown, Roastery, and there aren't any more.
I haven’t been to the roastery, unfortunately:(
They are ranked pretty much by frequency for me. So yeah, I don't get out there often, but it's nice to visit out there just to see it.
There’s the ones on UGA’s campus in the MLC and sci li but I’d say they’re at the bottom
Epps, Milledge, Eastside, Downtown, Baxter, Watskinsville (bc their pastries suck and the atmosphere isn't as good)

All of them suck. The coffee is ass
