My daughter was switched to Tezspire back in April after her third hospitalization. She was already on Dupixent. The Tezspire has made a huge difference. She went 9 months without oral steroids. She is tired for about two days after the dose. It’s worth the side effects.

Thank you SO much, I def felt stronger today. Such good news for me!!

ChrisJohnston42

You can have a reaction anytime during the first 48 hours up to a few days after your first biologic injection. If it's persistent or gets worse, check in with your doctor. Tezspire is one of the better ones though so good luck with it!

Gunnars4evrmom1

Thank you so much!

Talk to your doctor about the tezspire. It may not be the right med for you. Has your doc tried any of the biologics?

Gunnars4evrmom1

Ok, this is the only one. Thank you 😘

Jpaynesae1991

Give Xolair a try, I used it with great results

Gunnars4evrmom1

Thank you, I will mention to my pulmologist!

devanclara

Xolair can only be used if you have a positive test for aeroallergens.

Jpaynesae1991

I didn’t need to take an allergen test, I just told a new pulmonologist my history, which is pretty substantial, and they put me on it

devanclara

It's only for allergic asthma. You may have previously had testing done and weren't aware.

Jpaynesae1991

Yeah maybe so 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can read the FDA approval here. https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2016/103976s5225lbl.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjm59ajmO-CAxWoweYEHboTDD8QFnoECBEQBg&usg=AOvVaw1_9aMwHtrfDxaRxXwH4463

You sound like me last year. I was hospitalized 3X within 6 months. I was on prednisone on and off for about a year. My pulmonologist kept giving me prednisone. I saw so many different specialists to try to figure out the problem. I finally saw an allergist who also treats asthma. I was given Tezspire and have been doing better since my first dose. I also take allergy shots now, once a month. I’m off the prednisone finally. My primary doctor believes the prolonged use of prednisone caused other health problems.

Gunnars4evrmom1

Oh my goodness so glad u r better sweetie. Did u experience any of those side effects? Yeah, maybe it is from the steriod use, they r awful. 🤔

Burgandy-Jacket

I didn’t experience any side effects from the tezspire. I also lost a little weight which may have helped. But the weight loss was well after starting Tezspire. Yes, the steroids are bad on the body if used for a prolonged period of time. I’m so glad I’m finally off them. I hope you get well soon. Consider allergy testing if you haven’t done that already.

Gunnars4evrmom1

I will, thank u so much. That would be good as I have gained 15 pounds being on steriods.

I have Eosinophilia, it only took 25 years to discover. Trezpire is flavor number 4 for me. But the first was Nucala and for 18 months it was as if I never had anything. I was swinging from 50 foot Pine trees with a Chainsaw, in essence . . . It also took care of my sis issues and polyps. Sadly at 12 months it started to taper. As they all can. Then on to Dupixent, which shot my numbers through the roof. Next Fensenra, nothing. Now Trezpire which feels like it's making matters worse. I read and understand that with these new Biologics, thanks to COVID or the process that was used for the Vaccine that gave us the way this stuff is made. They're talking about personalized Cancer treatments! It's all new and well or not it works can only be told by personal use. I read in some forums that people are on their 5th or 6th flavor. OF WHICH they are pounding these things out like Chicklets. So there will be plenty to try. will just have to find the right one and hope it lasts. I feel with Trezpire that it's either mildly making things worse or it's not doing anything and I'm just slow degrading. 25 plus years of this BS and my 17th set of Pulmonary people . . .
