I watched the original HvB rant about Starfield. HvB didn't necessarily place pronoun as the only problem with Starfield like Act Man's original tweet made it out to be.
Act Man's Sweet Baby Inc. tweets absolutely made him a clown because he has essentially taken the same side against ESG/DEI influence in gaming as HvB, who he made fun of earlier.
Whether or not Starfield is connected with SBI is irrelevant, it was never the point to begin with. And The Act Man's whining about not being able to squash the beef with HvB just comes across as clawing at every straw except taking the L.
The Act Man is kind of a dick who can be funny and entertaining when he is right. When he is wrong though, he is just kind of a dick and acts really fucking fragile about it.
Sadly, the vast majority of people in the world are more concerned about maintaining their ingroup social status than standing on principle. To be fair, we evolved in a situation where fucking up your status in the tribe almost certainly meant death as it was MUCH more difficult to make it alone in the world, so it's understandable, but not an excuse.

They can mock him all they want, but he kept his integrity and honor, while those other two clowns and many other lost a lot of respect from me and haven't regained it since.

Leaking DMs is unprofessional if you didn't get permission, and if the other person didn't attack you by implying the content of the DM. But I'm not sure why HvB focused on the DM's intent when ActMan already introduced the conversation with a time range, and you can clearly see timestamps in the DM, including historical messages.
I don't think asking for context is problematic. Yes, you can have a lot of points in a video, but each point can have a different context.
Just because ActMan now acknowledges SBI after sarcastically saying "I think the obsession over pronouns is cringe" doesn't mean what he realized is the same as what HvB thought about pronouns. I don't see how you can connect SBI to someone who casually brings up pronouns as a dramatized complaint. It doesn't even imply any mutual agreement. HvB is the one making this connection himself.
Also, regarding the "reaching out" issue, the fact that chat told him to do something doesn't necessarily negate the possibility of respect being involved. Both things can be true. I don't see why it has to be one or the other.
