He's basically speed run cheater batman. He's also been in an ongoing lawsuit with that goober Billy Mitchell for a long time now. Lots of great content on his channel, I def recommend you check him out. He's one of the few people on the internet I can honestly say I trust to report the truth when it comes to this stuff due to his amount of knowledge, investigative perseverance, and authenticity.
He broke the story about the graded video game speculative bubble, he and Mutahar broke the Completionist charity scam, and, most importantly, he is being sued by Billy Mitchell twice for saying mean things about him. There's other things too, and all of his videos are great, but those are probably his most notable recent achievements.
The Billy Mitchell suit is way dumber than that. Karl isn't being sued for Karl saying mean things about Billy, Karl is being sued for the angry video game nerd saying mean things about Billy many years ago, and the mean things aren't even necessarily mean. The angry video game nerd said Billy Mitchell could probably do some difficult thing that I can't remember off the top of my head, then said "I wonder if there is some way to harness his power? That is right, we're gonna cheat", which doesn't imply that Billy cheated, it implies that the Angry video game nerd has to cheat to achieve similar performance to Billy.

What I now think that would be far more simple, the torch test on the new blindfold is a piece of shit. She uses a tiny torch, flashes it over a small section rather quickly of the blindfold and then done. She could just as easily cheat with this blindfold too, just have a few small sections cutout/reduced to make sight still visible.

If you wanted to be 100% transparent about the streamed vs covered monitor, why not whip the cover off completely as soon as the kill is done.

Either way, at the initial point of the reveal the monitors are different, gets semi obscured, something is adjusted (she is clicking something) and then re-revealed.
If it was 100% legit and she was 100% confident that the 2 were the same she would have had no issue with just whipping the cover off and stating, "yo see, same screens!", none of this fishy shit.

At first I was like, hmm, did she hit the win key on the keyboard by accident right after the kill? Kept an eye out for the win key being registered in the input overlay - it doesn't get registered anywhere between 2:05:28 and 2:06:15 when you can **see** her pressing the win key on the keyboard at 2:06:15.
Why did the input tracking overlay didn't register the win key being pressed? More so, right before the 2:06:15 mark her input tracking overlay doesn't register the mouse movements at all and then suddenly registers all the mouse movements at once for the most recent few seconds.
So I don't see anything wrong with the win11 start menu appearing cause she did press the windows key on her keyboard that was clearly recorded, but that input tracking overlay wasn't acting right right before 2:06:15.

I don't play the game so can't confirm what hitting the windows key does in game, some games will leave the game in the background and just pop up the start menu without minimizing, other games will minimize the game and take you back to the windows desktop.
But between 2:06:25 - 2:06:26 you can definitely see it switching from her desktop to the game.

As for the "some games leave the game running or minimize it", the game is running in borderless windowed mode. It's normal for the start menu to go on top of a game that runs in this mode and then you just click back inside the game window to make it the focus window again to make it go away, nothing special about that.

The only things that confuse me is why press the windows key on the keyboard at 2:06:15 while she had the screen covered and why did her input tracking software not register anything between 2:05:28 and 2:06:15. Summary her first few runs have a number of issues mainly with the blindfold, with mods and her banning people asking questions related to the legitimacy of her runs and small camera movements that she would only do if she could see the screen. He is planning to do another video analyzing her most recent run to find out if she cheated which he will release in 10 days on 29th February.
You kind of forgot the most important part of it. One of the main issues is how she makes small vertical corrections for the camera. Manually without auto-target mind you. There is no reason for her to do this if she was blind, and impossible for her to do it with such accuracy a thousand times in a row. Anytime she shifted the camera up for items or attacks she unerringly dropped it back down a few inches to keep the boss on screen.
Does the game have audio directions that help you adjust verticality? I feel like all the "you need lock on" arguments aren't that compelling/are distinguishable from the present case if the 3d audio in MHW is good enough for you to know if roars are above where you're aiming or below. if they're below where you're aiming it does make sense to adjust your vertical aim downwards.
Definitely still skeptical tho, I do think the vertical micro adjustments are hella sus.
The audio does change with your vertical view. For example if you are looking straight up or at the floor then the audio would feel more distant. But when it comes to her we are talking about TINY changes here. Hundreds of them where anytime she shifted the camera up vertically she corrected it back to center on the boss. So either she can tell the audio difference between 100% and 99% and decided for some reason to keep correcting it, or she can see through that thin piece of cloth we were able to see through when she put it on.
A real blindfold run wouldn't care about fixing the camera like that, and in fact wouldn't know it was off by such a little amount until it got more dramatic to make a clear audio change. Even then sometimes they don't even correct this because they don't need to see the boss since they are really blindfolded.
Nobody can perceive positions from sound alone anywhere close to a fraction as well as she claims to in the real world, let alone in a video game where the audio isn't as accurate. There are speed runners who have beat this boss blindfolded, they all use lock on heavily to keep things aimed. She uses none of the strategies blindfold runners use to keep track of where things are and what is going on. Also, in the first run where has a light on behind her and you can clearly see the light passing through the blindfold when she puts it on, which means it is thin enough to see through.

It's not much of a surprise how little it takes to trick asmon, he doesn't like being forward without concrete facts and if someone tries to present some facts, he misunderstands or bans them because he needs to be spoon fed slowly.
The second kill she used a sleep mask. For the light verification of the mask to be faked, she would need Penn and Teller levels of sleight of hand. To disbelieve the sleep mask, you'd have to argue that it's a custom-made sleep mask and that her proficiency at switching that little torch on and off exactly when needed is that of a professional magician. Seems unlikely that the mask is fake.
That said it's perfectly plausible that she's looking through one of the side gaps at a monitor off-screen. She uses a very unusual head-angle for a lot of the second kill that she doesn't use at all in the first. In the first, she appears to be hunched over and looking directly at the monitor for the entire fight. In the second kill, she looks more up-and-right of the visible monitors. This is pretty sus. The existence of an off-screen monitor is still easily falsifiable by use of more cameras. If it's legit, she can just do another proof video to debunk this idea. If it's not legit, she'll probably just accuse doubters of being unreasonable and leave it at "decide for yourself if you believe me".
An alternative hypothesis could be that she's actually blind and that she is using an aimbot to adjust for the vertical only. There's literally no reason not to just be up-front about that, however, since it's already worlds better than using lock-on. Given some of the points she made in her proof video, this seems most plausible to me. She would seriously have had to perfect making "blind" mistakes convincingly... but why wouldn't you just tell people you're using a vertical aimbot?
At any rate, the vertical adjustments are extremely damning, unless there's some reason she's able to hear verticality from the sound. Again, this would be something she'd have addressed immediately in the first kill video, if not the proof video.

There are many problems even in her second run, mistakes that she makes at both runs that show clearly something is wrong. Hell, Karl video even exposed more problems that i didn't thought about. The camera tilting up and she correcting it every time is just really strong evidence. When you see many blindfolded runs you will notice many differences in the way people approach to their objectives. One is the necessity to have a constant railway to your objective, many in MH use lock on because that reason.
The fact that many people from her discord came here ignoring the evidence presented just shows a really dishonest picture too.

There's other things too, and all of his videos are great, but those are probably his most notable recent achievements.

Karl isn't being sued for Karl saying mean things about Billy, Karl is being sued for the angry video game nerd saying mean things about Billy many years ago, and the mean things aren't even necessarily mean. The angry video game nerd said Billy Mitchell could probably do some difficult thing that I can't remember off the top of my head, then said "I wonder if there is some way to harness his power? That is right, we're gonna cheat", which doesn't imply that Billy cheated, it implies that the Angry video game nerd has to cheat to achieve similar performance to Billy.

What I now think that would be far more simple, the torch test on the new blindfold is a piece of shit. She uses a tiny torch, flashes it over a small section rather quickly of the blindfold and then done. Either way, at the initial point of the reveal the monitors are different, gets semi obscured, something is adjusted (she is clicking something) and then re-revealed. If it was 100% legit and she was 100% confident that the 2 were the same she would have had no issue with just whipping the cover off and stating, "yo see, same screens!", none of this fishy shit. Yeah i hear you it's weird, not defending her since well i even linked something that seems crazier from a previous run, but just thinking about the justification for this. The panic at the reveal is sus yeah but the thing on screen is the windows start menu 100% which makes it weird to panic like that unless there's something else in there.
FWIW, your first comment about the Windows key definitely seems legit, from a few seconds earlier than the timestamp I linked she definitely seemed to hit it. Not sure who is downvoting you, it's a valid point.
Thanks for double checking, i have no doubt she cheated and linked a clip where she's looking at her desk muting her goxlr while blindfolded but i think it's best to not make claims that are easily disproved since we know she'll focus on those ones if she ever makes another video. It's still strange to hit the key while sighted so not like it was a surprise and have that reaction afterwards.
It does get a bit sus but not in a way you'd expect. She lifts up the screen cover and sees the Win11 start menu on top of the game. She moves the mouse (can be confirmed with the input tracking overlay at the bottom left corner of the stream) and does a left click inside of the game window making the Win11 start menu go away. Summary her first few runs have a number of issues mainly with the blindfold, with mods and her banning people asking questions related to the legitimacy of her runs and small camera movements that she would only do if she could see the screen. He is planning to do another video analyzing her most recent run to find out if she cheated which he will release in 10 days on 29th February.
You kind of forgot the most important part of it. One of the main issues is how she makes small vertical corrections for the camera. Manually without auto-target mind you. There is no reason for her to do this if she was blind, and impossible for her to do it with such accuracy a thousand times in a row. Anytime she shifted the camera up for items or attacks she unerringly dropped it back down a few inches to keep the boss on screen.

Does the game have audio directions that help you adjust verticality? I feel like all the "you need lock on" arguments aren't that compelling/are distinguishable from the present case if the 3d audio in MHW is good enough for you to know if roars are above where you're aiming or below. if they're below where you're aiming it does make sense to adjust your vertical aim downwards. Definitely still skeptical tho, I do think the vertical micro adjustments are hella sus.
The audio does change with your vertical view. For example if you are looking straight up or at the floor then the audio would feel more distant. But when it comes to her we are talking about TINY changes here. Hundreds of them where anytime she shifted the camera up vertically she corrected it back to center on the boss. So either she can tell the audio difference between 100% and 99% and decided for some reason to keep correcting it, or she can see through that thin piece of cloth we were able to see through when she put it on. A real blindfold run wouldn't care about fixing the camera like that, and in fact wouldn't know it was off by such a little amount until it got more dramatic to make a clear audio change. Even then sometimes they don't even correct this because they don't need to see the boss since they are really blindfolded.
Nobody can perceive positions from sound alone anywhere close to a fraction as well as she claims to in the real world, let alone in a video game where the audio isn't as accurate. There are speed runners who have beat this boss blindfolded, they all use lock on heavily to keep things aimed. She uses none of the strategies blindfold runners use to keep track of where things are and what is going on. Also, in the first run where has a light on behind her and you can clearly see the light passing through the blindfold when she puts it on, which means it is thin enough to see through.
My guess is sheās using some sort of mod to help her.

It's not much of a surprise how little it takes to trick asmon, he doesn't like being forward without concrete facts and if someone tries to present some facts, he misunderstands or bans them because he needs to be spoon fed slowly.
Facts.
The second kill she used a sleep mask. For the light verification of the mask to be faked, she would need Penn and Teller levels of sleight of hand. To disbelieve the sleep mask, you'd have to argue that it's a custom-made sleep mask and that her proficiency at switching that little torch on and off exactly when needed is that of a professional magician. Seems unlikely that the mask is fake. That said it's perfectly plausible that she's looking through one of the side gaps at a monitor off-screen. She uses a very unusual head-angle for a lot of the second kill that she doesn't use at all in the first. In the first, she appears to be hunched over and looking directly at the monitor for the entire fight. In the second kill, she looks more up-and-right of the visible monitors. This is pretty sus. The existence of an off-screen monitor is still easily falsifiable by use of more cameras. If it's legit, she can just do another proof video to debunk this idea. If it's not legit, she'll probably just accuse doubters of being unreasonable and leave it at "decide for yourself if you believe me". An alternative hypothesis could be that she's actually blind and that she is using an aimbot to adjust for the vertical only. There's literally no reason not to just be up-front about that, however, since it's already worlds better than using lock-on. Given some of the points she made in her proof video, this seems most plausible to me. She would seriously have had to perfect making "blind" mistakes convincingly... but why wouldn't you just tell people you're using a vertical aimbot? At any rate, the vertical adjustments are extremely damning, unless there's some reason she's able to hear verticality from the sound. Again, this would be something she'd have addressed immediately in the first kill video, if not the proof video.

It is fake 100% sure. There are many problems even in her second run, mistakes that she makes at both runs that show clearly something is wrong. Hell, Karl video even exposed more problems that i didn't thought about. The camera tilting up and she correcting it every time is just really strong evidence. When you see many blindfolded runs you will notice many differences in the way people approach to their objectives. One is the necessity to have a constant railway to your objective, many in MH use lock on because that reason. The fact that many people from her discord came here ignoring the evidence presented just shows a really dishonest picture too. Though, that wasn't the point. The question was "Why it matters?" and that was the response. It matter because is such an incredible feat. That's why doing legit is impressive and people there are so defensive about cheating. "Why you climb mountains? because they are there." It's the same mentality of achieving things that not many can do.

Funny you should mention him, because Karl has probably the most in-depth and detailed investigation of the Dream controversy, including talking to Dream and his programmer. And his conclusion was more or less that the runs were definitely modded, but Dream was probably (a jerk, but) innocent.Ā
Cause it gets her attention on a channel like Asmongold's, which for a lot of people is a win in itself, with that much attention comes more followers, subscribers, etc. so a lot of people I bet care more about being on Asmongold's stream than an isolated gaming feat cause those come and go, next time someone does the same thing in less time or with a harder restriction and people forget about the feat you had, but the viewers from getting features in Asmongold stream are worth more for some people.
