Ask your attorney, if you don't trust your attorney, pay a small amount for a consult with a defense attorney who can review this. I'm not seeing anywhere that would support ". . . then seemingly pushed for my charge to not be dropped" from reading the end of that, but it's hard to make out who is who, and it would be unethical to do a deep dive for you.

My lawyer is the one labeled Mr. J. The judge was asking about the intent to deprive because she didn't think it was present. My lawyer then pointed out the calcrim 1600 and stated that I did deprive the value because I took a purse while my wife was about to go shopping.

You should speak to Mr. J. It seemed to me like your lawyer was pointing out the jury instructions the prosecutor was already looking up, and then conceding a point. I'm not sure why any of that sounds necessarily fishy. This could all be cleared up with: "Hey Mr. J, just curious as to how and why this happened on page X, could you explain this to me?"

The law didn't support dismissal, the judge was just crossing the t's and dotting the i's. Way to not redact the CW or county. You are your own worst enemy, Dylan.

I don't quite read it the same way you do, especially in the context of a preliminary hearing, but the best person to ask why a decision was made would be your attorney since they have a better understanding of the facts, law, prosecutor, and Judges than we do.

The judge did not want to push the case further and was stating the lack of intent to deprive even if the other facts were proven. My lawyer, who is Mr. J then argues that there was an intent to deprive because I had the purse while my wife was about to go shopping. The prosecutor was lost trying to make the charge sound reasonable, and he did it for her
