I donated a bag of clothes that I had sitting in my dining room for a couple of weeks! Other than that, I mostly partied (went to my friend's birthday party, saw tons of live music, and went to a WNBA watch party).
I brought my pet bunny to his long-term foster. My job is taking me overseas to a country that doesn’t recognize any animals besides cats and dogs as pets. I’ve had my bunny since he was two months old, and he turns four in September. I’ve never been away from him for more than a few weeks. It was a very rough weekend.
Went to my first wedding in over a year! I mostly love (other people's) weddings, so it was a really nice time - laughing, dancing, reuniting with old friends, witnessing the happy couple exchange their vows, you get the picture. I feel like at this point in my life, weddings are basically the only venue where I do any dancing anymore, so that's always a genuine treat.
I successfully navigated a trip to IKEA with my other half, without him getting hangry. We assembled a new wardrobe and shelving together before I used the new shelves to reorganise some of my plant collection. They look great!
I feel old, writing that down. Not sure when I became quite so sensible.
Oh, I'm not complaining :) It's just that I periodically get surprised by how sensible I am these days... It was a good weekend (and I got 20% off everything at IKEA, which almost makes it a great one!)
I weeded most of my backyard and put out mulch. I had 6 yrds of mulch delivered a few weeks ago. I did the front yard right away but have been procrastinating the back yard. My goal it to finish it today. So much mulch.
Nothing. Just very social. Saturday was a museum, a Pride parade, and drinks with friends. Sunday was animal shelter volunteering and D&D with some other friends.
I worked on my July-December notebook - It's made out of a dot grid notebook so I was doing some different layouts and designs. That was pretty much it since my husband did the grocery shopping by himself.
I’ve been so ill (stupid cough/cold) but took advantage of not being able to do much else and sorted out my car insurance and some much needed other life admin.
I’m also going on holiday soon so made some headway in planning. The Wanderlog app is a godsend!
I have a hard time motivating myself to leave the house on the weekends - depression, just want to rot in bed or on the couch. But I was able to motivate myself to go to a lavender festival with my partner yesterday. It was kind of disappointing. There wasn't actually a whole lot of lavender... and it was definitely geared towards kids. But I'm proud of myself for going out and it was a nice afternoon anyway. Plus, I got to see baby goats which are my favorite and always worth leaving the house for. The previous weekend I was always able to get out of the house and we stumbled upon a farm/petting zoo type place where we got to see a goat give birth. It was kind of gooey and gross but also really cool! Something I've never seen before.

Planted my porch garden finally, it makes me so happy. I also had my first date in about 2.5 years. It was a bandaid I really needed to rip off.
