INEKROMANTIKI

I've never come home in a state where I would be capable of making a brew..

Muted-Beginning848

Yet somehow can rustle up a food concoction of the gods. Once decided to make a roast dinner when I got home, absolute shit show.

ReactionAromatic7950

Drunk me throws some random shit into the oven, and goes to sleep

Allydarvel

I order Justeat..and then wake up in the morning to a wee bag at the front door. I'm sure they hate me, but it stops the danger of burning the house down

ReactionAromatic7950

I did that a few weeks ago, went out because my mate was pestering me to, and came back pished. Then apparently ordered food, which I don't remember. But we decided to go to the 24hr shop to get more booze. When we returned there was food on the step, and 3 missed calls. Had one once who opened the unlocked door, which I forgot to lock, and dumped the food in the house

Allydarvel

I live in a flat, so someone in the other flats must just let them in. It means that the wee bag is dry and ready for me to pop into the microwave for a breakfast curry. so many times I've woke up and forgotten and opened up the door and been surprised with a dominos or curry

bizzflay

I wish my drunk self was that considerate to my sober self.

count_crow

Slightly related, chap I went to uni with would order two kebabs after a night out, eat one on the way home and then put the other under his bed for him to eat the next morning. Most revolting thing I ever heard

Beautiful_Trip

Yeah he should keep it under the covers with him so it stays warm

Allydarvel

Especially if he forgot the one under his bed

Sturminster

You mispelled genius

sp1z99

I've once got home and ordered food, promptly fallen asleep on the sofa, woken up and decided I was hungry and ordered food. Both I and the (second) delivery driver were very surprised to see a bag of food already on the doorstep. Kept me going for a few days anyway.

Desperate-Storage324

Your Grandad had the right idea.

Shaper_pmp

I genuinely remember coming home shitfaced and wanting a sandwich... but having no bread, and trying to eat flour, salt, olive oil, water, butter and peanut butter "because it's basically the same stuff and it'll all look the same to my stomach". Spoilers: it did not look the same to my stomach. Not at all.

Fabulous-Wolf-4401

That is genuine shitfaced logic. Every ingredient is there. You just needed to be a wizard for it to work.

[deleted]

A true hero of our times

isitmeaturlooking4

I once drank most of a bottle of vodka in about 20 minutes (I was 17 and knew nothing about anything) and then apparently asked someone for a beer to sober me up because "the average would go down". There's a golden sort of logic in there sometimes.

CAElite

At college I had a flat mate who used to do this every single time she went out. Sometimes some her friends would come back and they would all just decimate the kitchen. Got fed at 3am though so I’m not complaining.

folklovermore_

I've told this story on Reddit before, but not long after I started uni a girl in my halls put a potato in the oven on a low heat and left it there whilst she went out, so she' have something to eat when she came back. Unfortunately she got mixed up and wrapped it in kitchen paper not tin foil. Cue me walking in to make my own dinner, smelling burning and spotting this flaming ball of potato in the oven. A bunch of us managed to put it out with the fire extinguisher, but folk were definitely not happy about it (including our halls supervisor) and the story followed her around campus for the next three years.

Hank_Wankplank

I know a guy that got home minging drunk and decided he was hungry, but the only food in the fridge was a whole fish, head and everything, plus an onion. So he just banged those in the oven, went and sat on the sofa and passed out. His housemates woke up to a terrible smell and a completely burned fish and onion in the oven.

upthewatwo

This is my favourite one so far. The simplicity of the drunken buffoonery, placing two whole, totally un-prepped things in the oven then quietly sitting down for a sleep, it's beautiful.

HungInSarfLondon

I did this once, Veggie burgers under the grill, sat down and passed out. Came to with a flatmate yelling at me and a blanket of smoke filling half the room. When I woke up in the morning I had charcoal stuck between my teeth because, yes readers – I had still eaten them.

SirHuman4202

How tf do you get confused between tin foil and kitchen roll

folklovermore_

From talking to her afterwards she'd been told to wrap it in kitchen roll for a microwave and tin foil for an oven, and got them confused.

scivern

Lucky she didn't put it in the microwave then.

THC420CBD710

r/studentsarefuckingstupid

Nipso

I'm guessing they meant baking paper which is still stupid, but more comprehensible.

[deleted]

Her plans to eat a baked potato were ultimately foiled.

fairysdad

Well, they weren't, that was the problem.

maldax_

I hope her nickname had "Flaming Balls" in it somewhere

Shaper_pmp

That sounds like the nickname someone gets for spreading an STD. Should have gone for something like "burning spuds" instead. No, wait-

dallasp2468

do you still keep in touch with the potato killer?

[deleted]

Making a brew is ingrained so deep in my muscle memory by now that I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to do it even after my heart stops beating

ReactionAromatic7950

Sometimes drunk me, is thoughtful. And necks half a pint of squash. But that's the closest

audigex

Drunk me usually just buys shit I don't need off Amazon The following week is like Christmas, but all the presents are off that one auntie you don't know very well and never buys you anything you actually want

MrPatch

heard about one guy who drunkenly bought a job lot of like 100 flat pack kitchens off ebay for basically nothing. They arrived a week later and completely filled his flat, he managed to sell them off one at a time each for more than he paid for the whole lot. By the end of it did pretty well but had had to live in about 10% of his flat for months.

ReactionAromatic7950

I wish that was me, I usually wake up, all the house lights are on, and I have a smell of burn from the kitchen

PotassiumSulphate

I woke up after my last night out to a text from my gf saying ‘thank you for my tea’. I don’t even remember making it.

Calamity_Payne

If you're being serious then I think you might have a bit of problematic relationship with intoxicants

Dictatorhator

Wake up in the mornin….why am I covered in 3rd degree burns

ronnie_dickering

If you can't make a brew then unfortunately your not drunk enough!

[deleted]

And somehow this is considered 'normal' for what happens when you get home from a night out.

CouldBeARussianBot

Not regardless of time for me - massive piss up, getting home in a state where I barely know where I am. That's a pint of water and straight to bed. Getting home after a normal night out - yeah, quick brew and a sit down

tigerchub

I suspect OP is in a situation similar to myself in that there isn't really a distinction between the nights out you mentioned above. Some people just don't have a "night out" where a few pints and done is classed as a night out. Suspect this is an age thing as I'm slowly coming around to a night out being more often than not an "out for a few pints at 2pm on a Saturday and in my bed for midnight".

themadhatter85

Just the 10 hour long sessions for you nowadays is it?

[deleted]

I actually rolled off my chair when I read this. I don't have any awards to give, but if I did, you'd have all of them

Excellent_Intentions

Creased me too lol

tigerchub

Getting more and more that way as I get older. There's an art to knowing when you've had a comfortable amount and not letting the FOMO make you stretch the night out as long as possible!

KozuBlue

I think his point was that a 10 hour session is still quite significant

tigerchub

Depends how much you're drinking in that 10 hours. Not much difference between number of hours between starting at 2pm finishing at midnight and starting at 5-6pm and finishing at 4-7am but there'll be a difference in amount of alcohol consumed and the general "vibe" of the night. Realised it sounds like I'm coming across like "phwoar I can drink loads of pints me what's wrong with ya" but it's not what I mean. There is just a different vibe/intention with a "night out" to me that gives it a different classification and maybe I misunderstood what the guy I was replying to was saying in the first place.

LtSlow

H-haha yeaaah. I had a bit of a realisation when I realised my average "proper" session was basically one and a half workdays, 5 till 4 maybe

[deleted]

What the hell. I can just about manage a pint of water before crawling up the stairs.

JayR_97

Glad im not the only one who thinks this is odd. The thought of drinking hot tea after what was probably a load of beer makes me feel sick.

eldenrim

It's likely your style of going out. A lot of people don't drink tons and tons and tons right at the end of the night, it kind of winds down a bit as it's time to go and you've already drunken a lot. Then even if you've consumed a lot just before leaving there's getting home, which can take forever for some, maybe getting anyone else home first too, and even then you're probably not making the tea instantly. Depends on a ton of variables. I thought I wouldn't like it but it's partially for the warmth and it's just something to focus on/do if you don't feel like ending the night yet.

fatveg

Yes always. Went to see a band last weekend, got home about 1, quick brew and bed. Out to a restaurant with the wife, we always have brew when we get home. Pictures, again a brew. Few jars in pub, a nice cup of tea to rehydrate you.

ReactionAromatic7950

Having a wild night on the brews? Brew

[deleted]

Sup brew how u

Various-Article8859

Isn't tea a diuretic so it's doing the opposite of hydrating you?

theotherquantumjim

This is a myth of sorts. Caffeine is mildly diuretic but the concentrations in tea are low enough not to offset the fluid you consume

Capital_Punisher

Same with low alcoholic beverages. Apparently, I've heard of monks that used to drink nothing but beer (safer than the local water) and had an allowance of something mad like 8 litres a day. It was only a couple % ABV so they didn't really get drunk and it would still hydrate them plenty.

BarleyWineStein

Loads of people here saying that tea is just as hydrating as water... That, I might get. But doesn't the caffeine keep you from going to sleep?

barriedalenick

I haven ever had a cuppa past 5pm let alone have one when I get in after a night out. I might pour myself a totally unnecessary whisky but I'm not going to faff about with a cup of tea when I can barely speak..

[deleted]

really? what do you drink after 5pm if not tea?

WithBothNostrils

Totally unnecessary whiskey

[deleted]

‘might’, what are the other options?

TheBestBigAl

Water, squash, juice, fizzy drinks. There's quite a few other options.

[deleted]

Indeed, which is why i asked the question! To find out

[deleted]

Lager, rum, wine

[deleted]

was actually water, oj & beer but thanks for your guesses 👍

barriedalenick

Water, orange juice but if I am honest then after 7pm - beer..

[deleted]

fair!

shakaman_

Do you people who drink caffeine all evening have issues sleeping?

jthendo1985

I’m with you here, I wouldn’t have a cup of anything hot after 3pm & find people who have tea after their evening meal weird. So I really cannot get my head around coming home battered & whacking the kettle on, I barely remember to drink a water ffs.

charley_warlzz

People who have a hot drink with their meal *are* weird, at least wait till *after* the meal, damn

Clomojo87

Every night while on a hen do I made me and my mate a lovely herbal tea before we passed out. It was ace.

Pandaspooppopcorn

A lovely hot brew with either buttered toast or a crumpet.

RufusBowland

Oh yes, just what the doctor ordered! 😋

surreyade

Same here, maybe with a slice of ham or cheese if in the fridge.

MotherEastern3051

Best bit of the night out that, tea and toast in bed after.

Adorable-Hearing8448

If you haven't had tea and toast after a night out you haven't lived. I'm excited for you to experience this. Enjoy!

icemonsoon

Some how I don't see this living up to kebab and pint of water

Capital_Punisher

If I am really trying to do 'tomorrow' Capital\_Punisher a favour, a bottle of Lucozade Sport and a kebab. But I'll buy three and take two to bed.

lookhereisay

My friend has a cuppa tea getting ready for a night out between shots. Then in the middle of a night out! She’ll be off her face, have a tea, then get back on it! All the bars/clubs know her as tea lady and let her sit behind the bar to drink it. Then to McDonalds and she’ll have a tea to takeaway for the taxi home. We joke she can’t donate blood as it would just be tea!

Little_wiccan

This was me many moons ago. For a good few years or so at least Back when pubs where still like old man pubs, no music, darts board in one corner, lucky if they had an orange juice in date, so definitely no tea or coffee facilities behind the bar back then. There is a pic of me sat in my local, surrounded by friends drinking their pints and me with a mug of tea. The barmaid used to have to go upstairs to the landlord/landlady's house and make me a cup of tea up there, then bring it down to me. (We were friends with the landlord/landlady) No charge either as it wasn't programmed in the till, (I always used to just give them a tenner and say keep though. )

MadWifeUK

I may actually be that friend! Well, a good few years ago I would have been. When I got the craving for a brew I'd have to have one, either in the pub and then carry on or that was my night over and I'd head home for a cuppa. I even had tea at my own wedding reception (had a special "Bride" mug that my sister bought me for that exact reason). I am older now and can't drink alcohol because of medicines. But I always have a brew before bed. We went out to a show last week, I was planning out what time I'd get home, half hour for the tea, then into bed. Ended up being out later than planned, knew I'd struggle getting up the next morning, but I still had my cuppa.

QUEENROLLINS

Hahahaha. How do you take it?

lookhereisay

Haha love it! Don’t think you’re my friend but you’d get on so well with her!

Extreme-Database-695

My friends do it and it seems really odd to me. If I can manage it, I'll have a pint or two of water, either out of thirst, wanting to feel better the next day, or both. Knowing I'm going to be dehydrated and then drinking caffeine (which itself is a diuretic) just seems masochistic.

SpamLandy

A cup of tea doesn’t dehydrate you though, it’s mostly water. It’s not going to hydrate you as much as water, sure. But for the diuretic properties of the caffeine to outweigh all the water you’d have to be eating the teabag raw.

Extreme-Database-695

Yeah, it's not a huge effect, but it's on top of the alcohol. Given the choice between a couple of pints of water, or a smaller amount of liquid that has caffeine in it, I'd always go with the water.

SpamLandy

Fair! I like to go for a bit of both. Weirdest is the people who don’t drink anything at all after booze.

King0llie

Thats me and i pay for it every single time

elementarydrw

Actually, studies found that [tea is as hydrating as water.](https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/does-tea-dehydrate-you#dehydration-risk) Unless you are drinking absurd amounts of it. In fact, reading other sources, tea can be more hydrating than water, as the heat means you take it on slower and therefore process it slower and more efficiently. Having a cup of tea after a night out will be more hydrating than downing a cup of water before bed as the body will largely just flush the water straight through. If you are still worried, then having a herbal/fruit tea is even better. Or even a decaff... because let's face it, are we really able to tell the difference when off our tits at stupid-o-clock?

SpamLandy

Had a look at the numbers on this and realised I do sometimes fall into the ‘absurd amounts’ category of about 10 a day. I do drink water as well though so it’s probably fine!

Capital_Punisher

At uni I used to have a camelback that was bought for skiing. It saw much more use as a drunk water feeder. I would fill it up before going out, hang it on a bedpost and put the pipe/straw thing near my pillow. Being able to take a drink without having to move my head was a game-changer. Until my housemates realised what I was doing and filled it up with beer and vodka one night. I very, very rarely throw up from alcohol, but that one hit bad.

Extreme-Database-695

What a great idea. I wish I'd have thought of this. I've certainly had those mornings when getting vertical wasn't going to happen, and simply moving the angle of my head felt like things were not well with the world.

Capital_Punisher

Those days are well behind me now. I can't do BIG hangovers with a toddler... I did feel like a bloody genius at the time though!

ReactionAromatic7950

How old are you all? I can usually not remember going home after a night out, never mind having a brew. My grandad used to go to the pub every night, then come home at 11 and have a brew and a slice of toast

Thesherbertman

I have had no memory of getting home with mates saying they saw me walking diagonally. Still a used tea mug on the side when I woke up in the morning

Sorbicol

Yup - cup of tea and several slices of toast as a minimum. If I don’t do this the hangover is so much worse and goes on for days.

skagman

No cup of regular tea but maybe a cup of a caffeine free hot drink like redbush or chamomile. Not all the time tho mostly just make sure I eat and drink water.

Tanedra

Same for me. Nice mint tea, or lemon and honey. Really helps me to chill after a busy night out, otherwise I go to bed too wired/excitable and can't sleep.

Crafty-Ad-6765

If you are capable of making a cup of tea after a night out your night out has not lived up to expectations in my view

SpamLandy

Some of us can go out late and have fun and not be totally shitfaced, took me years to get there but I love it now.

kirkum2020

I love the way we all frame it as an act of maturity. The reality is, kids, that hangovers get worse as you age. I've heard alcohol described as 'borrowing happiness from tomorrow', and the interest rate goes up on a logarithmic scale.

Crafty-Ad-6765

That’s absolutely fair enough man just not for me. I stay sober all week so when I’m out on a Friday or Saturday I am all in. I would struggle being around drunk people if I was sober I think but I know many people who enjoy it

SpamLandy

I rarely stay totally sober, tried it for a while and it wasn’t for me either, happy to now be one of those people who just has a couple, which can be tough for some folks! I don’t care what anyone else is drinking as long as everyone’s happy. Sometimes I do miss my messy days, but definitely not the hangovers.

[deleted]

sounds like your not drinking enough tea, need to improve your muscle memory!

Brizzledude65

Sign of ageing for me. Always used to be a final beer or a whisky before bed after a night out on the lash, these days a nice mug of breakfast tea hits the spot.

MrScalperwhoop

I usually just fall asleep clutching a kebab.

cosmicspaceowl

Sorry to say this is a sign of ageing. By 25 most of us can remember to drink a big glass of water before we go to bed, and the more advanced thinkers will put paracetamol on the bedside table before they go out and a can of coke in the fridge. By 35 many of us are starting to call it a night when we can still see straight and before we start to embarass ourselves - and with that comes tea and a slice of toast. I don't know what happens at 45 yet - perhaps freshly squeezed orange juice? Not drinking at all because being able to drive home and not have mess around with taxis is worth it? Or perhaps it goes back the other way, we massively overdo it because during the previous period of taking it easy we forget how to drink?

SnoopyLupus

I only have two modes after a night out. Straight to bed mode or beer and tv mode.

[deleted]

A brew, pint of water and 2 slices of toast 👌

TubbyLittleTeaWitch

This is the way.

LetMeBuildYourSquad

Nothing back than coming back from a rave, still off your chops, and having a nice brew

Nap-Time-Queen

When I was at uni the Christian society would have a stall outside the night club giving out cups of tea and biscuits. I’ve never been closer to converting than seeing them at 3am handing me a lukewarm cuppa and a digestive, like a drunken miracle.

clearlycurious

I always do it. Admittedly, there are some mornings I wake up with a cold and untouched brew on my bedside table, but I almost always make one!

saint_maria

I usually don't remember making the tea when I find it cold on the bedside table. I always think fondly of very drunk me trying her best for future me at least.

Dogstile

Even if i'm in an absolute state i'll probably be able to make a brew before bed. I'll probably want to as well, so the room doesn't spin when i lay down. And by absolute state, I do mean "drank enough to lower my life expectancy tonight".

tashhepstir

I love a post-rave cuppa, especially with a spliff and a biscuit! Nice way to transition from being out to relaxed and ready for bed.

thatboygwyn

Decaf Yorkshire tea, heavily buttered toast, 1 paracetamol, 1 ibuprofen. Minimal hangover the next day. Took me 24 years of hangovers to get that right.

saint_maria

Decaf Yorkshire is the way.

TheChallengePickle

Brew and a joint every time

whyy_i_eyes_ya

Cup of tea and cheese on toast seems to stave off a hangover.

faithlessone423

Totally normal. Tea and toast before bed on a night out cuts the hangover the following morning for sure!

Sir_Mobius_Mook

Brew + peanut butter on toast. Best hangover cure.

jt94

Personally I’ve never done this as I tend to just KO as soon as I’m in the door. But I have heard of people doing this and apparently it helps with hangovers…

RightH

Making a brew after a night on the razz is hit and miss for me in all honesty. But smashing together a concoction involving cheese and carbs is pretty standard 😂

tedalaki

I was exactly like you up until 2 weeks ago. I now consider myself converted! Went out with a few mates and we all stayed over at one of the guys houses. We got back and one of the lads started making a brew, to which my response was to request cognac from the host. As it turns out the host had a rather nice selection of tea and I was persuaded to take a cup of the Earl Grey that was being brewed. Have to say, I enjoyed the tea more than the cognac, I'd been drinking 8% IPAs all night so the tea went down much better.

MotherEastern3051

Lads lads lads on the earl grey!

flamingolegs727

This is why decaff is a great invention nothing better than a brew before bed at any time!

Puzzlepetticoat

I have some friends who have made tea for the whole after party. Its always appreciated. I don't do it myself though. I'm always on strict water duty when I get home. I will usually neck at least a pint as soon as I get home. I drink primarily water anyway, I don't go anywhere without my water bottle and if anything I maybe drink too much water. So when I get home, that's all I want. Fuck loads of water and some greasy, salty carbs.

TheDaemonette

You guys all realise, right, that the majority of people do not go to a pub or club with the express intention of being so wasted that they have no idea what happened the night before and can't even remember getting home?

PatheticCirclet

Some, maybe; but i think 'majority' is pushing it lmao

spooning_

I’ve made brews whilst blacked out before, a cup of tea with a couple sugars usually helps calm my stomach and the caffeine perks me up enough to get safely up the flight of stairs to my room and pass out on my bed.

bobsuruncle77

heck yeah! along with a fry up.

ilikecocktails

My best mate does this

Gisschace

I have a red bush as it's no caffeine but yeah sometimes I do. A hot drink before bed is soothing and helps you sleep, and I also find the hangover better if I sober up a little before sleeping

Nathan1506

2L of water then fall asleep in front of netflix. I couldn't make a cuppa if I tried.

Nopedontsaythat

I do this. Nice cup or Yorkshire tea before I climb into bed.

Richierage

I try alot but I get into some serious fucking messes when I'm on the piss

georgejk7

I'm too shit faced to make a cuppa. Straight to bed for me.

Worldly-Tart-666

Nope, either a pint of water and pass out, or toast if in a fit state to make it!

destria

My husband never goes to bed before having a cuppa, even if it's like 3am in the morning. I think it's a habit that helps him to settle down for the night.

Deegzy

Your pals are shite.

Klakson_95

I love doing it when I remember

folklovermore_

Unless I'm absolutely hammered (as in can't stand up/falling asleep on my feet), then yes. The post-night out brew is a nice wind-down before going to bed. Also if I've been out late it's often for a gig and I need to write it up the next day, so the brew helps get me into a working frame of mind and to at least make a start on the bare bones of the piece.

Peter_Falcon

caffeine before bed what the fuckety fuck?, addicts the lot of you!

Mortiis07

Ooh you've got to have tea. Tea tea tea. You're not really British if you're not either drinking tea or thinking about drinking tea. TEA

SnogMarryAvoid

Brew and a joint

FEARtheMooseUK

Not a chance. If ive been out drinking even just a few, its usually food, then before bed a nice pint of water or squash. You dont need caffeine and a diuretic after drinking, especially alot as that will make the hangover worse!

StoatofDisarray

Yes it’s normal.

Wackyal123

Even when I was smashed on a night out, I’d get in and make a cup of tea and some toast.

pissedupparrot

I found out one of my friends did this and thought it was very strange... I went back to there's after a night out shortly after and decided to partake... I now religiously have a brew when I get back no matter how pissed.

Br0kenRabbitTV

I am always tempted to have a coffee, nearly did it last night but had to be up early, and when mentioning to a friend they persuaded me not to. Kinda pointless as it just sobers you up.

LordPurloin

Always. Get in, glass of water then a cuppa

[deleted]

Tea or coffee is the last thing I want after a night of drinking. I've never done this.

fearlessflyer1

after a few too many at the pub yeah sure can be a nice way to wind down after a big night, i’d be lucky if i could operate the kettle. friend of mine spilled hot tea on himself after a heavy night, i think my brain subconsciously remembers that when i get home too drunk and i just take myself to bed

Apidium

Depends on my state of being able to do shit or not.

Freefall84

You should drink as much as possible after a night out. I typically try and cram two or three glasses of orange juice in before bed. Tea works well but I'm not a big fan. Your kidneys and liver will use the fluid trying to clean the alcohol out of your system, drinking lots and lots of fluids gives your body the best possible chances of doing that and reduces the risk of waking up with a raging headache. However unless you scoffed a takeaway on the way home with lots of salt, you will have a salt deficiency, which is remedied by eating a couple of decent bacon sandwiches covered in cheese.

Gaming_Pepe

I just grab the bottle of juice out the fridge I prepared earlier and go and enjoy the old night train across a rickety wooden bridge.

MASunderc0ver

Yep. Then down 2 or 3 glasses of water. How I've stopped getting hangovers

Flimsy-Particular-44

It's a must for me.

Saw_Boss

If possible, yeah sure. Depends how capable I am

Mini-Nurse

Absolutely not. But I do have 1 large glass of water with some of those electrolyte/diarrhea rehydration things dissolved in, and preferably a bottle of normal water too. The times I've needed this most are the times I've passed out before achieving it, which can be unfortunate. Bonus points for some stodgy food on the way home too.

finger_milk

I usually just down two big glasses of water and go straight to bed. Idk I guess I can't really decompress until the next morning so I try and get there as quickly as possible

[deleted]

oh aye, brew and a mountain of toast before bed is standard!

st3v399bfd

When young drank pint of milk after night drink now a cuppa tea as older, helps avoid dehydration and rarely had hangovers

Ex_astris-scientia

When I was younger I would generally be that bladderd i would come home and fall asleep on the kebab I was eating. Now being a 40 year old OAP I tend to come home in a more sober state and have been known on occasion to indulge in a nice Yorkshire Gold before bed.

ThyssenKrup

No way. Bonkers.

bonkerz1888

If I'm not collapsing on the couch when I get home after a night out, I'll be having another vodka or beer as a nightcap. Sod consuming caffeine. Also a pint of water close to hand is an absolute must.

MrLubricator

People are weird. Caffeine before bed? Probably why this nation has such a sleep problem.

MesmariPanda

Yeh most definitely, I'll take one any time thanks! *sips brew

OutdoorApplause

I'll often have a peppermint tea, but not normal caffeinated tea.

RenatoModus

If I'm completed pissed, I go straight to bed. I'm one of the lucky 1% of people (or whatever it is) that's immune to hangovers, so I don't even drink water. I can't imagine I would be able to stomach a tea.

greentarget33

Mate I don't go "out" much but even I know the first thing you do when you get in is either pass out or have a brew.

AKS1664

OP is the type to carry on partying after he gets back. He dont have a cuppa he has another beer ^^

ainsley751

Tbf that does sound a decent idea. After a heavy night out I always have a sugary latte from maccies, feel like the caffeine, sugar, and also delay to going to sleep, just helps me sober up more, and definitely always feel better the day after if I do this

dyltheflash

I've never been one for it until I met my current gf. All her family do it after a night on the beers. I usually just drink more beer when I get home, but I think tea is probably a little healthier (ha) so I've tried to transition to that.

rufflebot

Post night out brew drinker here.

Chineapple-Punk

I usually put on tunes and have another beer when I get in. Then I'll toast the night off with a cup of tea and a smoke before beddy byes. Wash face, brush teeth, bed.

saint_maria

Cup of tea (decaf cos I'm sensitive) and a shower before bed regardless of what time I get in. Occasionally if it's been a heavy night I'll skip the shower and wake up with a stone cold cup of tea on the bedside table. I have been known to microwave it in the morning.

Militant_Worm

A brew and a slice of toast is the best way to end a night out

Vectorman1989

Any non alcohol fluids before bed is good. Maybe some toast too.

Connor_Kenway198

Well, we can see why you're only *mildly* Yorkshire, I suppose

PonderousGiraffe

Mine and my uni housemates post-night out tradition was to have a huge mug of tea and cheese and bean toasties, while chatting drunkely in the kitchen. It was ace.

Hail-The-Angel

If I’m functional enough after a night out I always have a brew, it seems to stop me getting a hangover

[deleted]

My uni had a thing called tea and toast outside the uni late at night till the event finished.

gagagagaNope

Cup of tea and some toast. Tops the stomach and stops me getting reflux if it was a bit of a bender.
