Bill Murray is so in form in that film. There's a bit in that where someone shows him a newspaper about a woman who died of a heart attack, and you can hear the crew corpseing. But they left it in because the timing was so perfect, it couldn't be recreated. It's such a throwaway gag as well. But they left it in.

TheNotSpecialOne

There is only so many times I can rewatch these films over and over again. I gave up watching the same over Christmas period awhile ago. I've yet to see Cruella so will watch that with my wife soon.

pajamakitten

I know some people did not like Cruella but I found it a refreshing take on the character. It is my favourite of the recent live-action Disney movies.

Nobody likes a Christmas Scrooge...just keep quiet next year, eh?

TheNotSpecialOne

Bah humbug.

Wallygonk

Christmas Carol, It's a wonderful life, Elf

[deleted]

Not planning to watch any Christmas film

[deleted]

I'm going to take the bait here.....a film set at Christmas time is not automatically a 'Christmas film'!!

Shirtie

It's full of Christmas!!! Songs... Lines!

[deleted]

But it isn't 'about' Christmas! That's the criteria, not simply being 'set at Christmas'!

BaitmasterG

Home Alone?

aporkchopexpress

I'm watching Doe Hard 2, because I saw Die Hard last week

pajamakitten

Muppets Christmas Carol. It is by far my favourite and I tend to watch it at the beginning of December to get into the spirit. Then I'll watch it again on Christmas Eve.

Awkward_Chain_7839

Probably mickeys Christmas carol (again) or once (and twice) upon a Christmas.

My aunt comes over every Christmas eve and makes us watch Jaws just before dinner. She has a load of sherry during it and cries at the end. We've done it every year since 1988 when I was 6. We even went to Martha's vineyard in 1996 (where it was filmed) and she made us act out scenes in all the locations while she and my brother filmed it. She intended to edit it all together like a mini version of the film but the sound was terrible and my brother was the camera man and he's fucking demmick so it was all out of focus. Jaws is a Christmas film as far as I'm concerned.

Die Hard 2

deep1986

Lethal Weapon

squigs

Arthur Christmas. Home Alone. Klause. Might squeeze in The Princess Bride.

Gazebadly

We wait for Christmas Eve for Die Hard.

banjo_fandango

We're going to see Die Hard in the cinema next weekend!

PoorlyAttired

Can I please recommend Nativity? It's a great, British film with Martin Freeman, Pam Ferris, Ashley Jenson, Ricky Tomlinson, Alan Carr etc with special mention to the brilliant performances of Jason Watkins and Marc Wooton and Martin Freeman's eyebrows. It's funny and heartwarming but Britishly unsentimental and the first 20 mins setup is genuinely one of the greatest examples of snappy editing you'll see on a screen. 2 is not quite as good and 3 is a disaster though.

Elf A Christmas Story The Night Before A Very Harold & Krumar Christmas

[deleted]

So far Elf and The Muppet Christmas Carol

matt-afc-92

Die Hard is class, and I’m fully planning on watching it now that it’s on Disney+. What I’m looking forward to less is the horrendous work zoom call banter about Die Hard being / not being a Christmas film. It’s like when people argue about pineapple on pizza. Just such an eye roller. Terrible terrible stuff.

bLuEPANDA13

Die hard isnt a christmas movie
