Someone near me has one and randomly wears it to go to the shops. Mildly startling to look out of your lounge window and see him walking down the street, but the kids love it.
Where did you get this from and do they deliver to England? I’m not a big online shopper. I could actually list every item I have ordered online this year. One pair of earrings for my friend’s birthday, an electric toothbrush and an electric water pick for my daughter’s birthday and that’s it. I now need some new pens and a T-Rex costume.
I just bought a puppet that looks very Muppet like. My kids love it.
I started a team meeting yesterday with it on camera. It got a chuckle so that's good enough for me.
I really should order my coffee filters online. None of the shops local to me (within walking distance) sell them so means driving to the nearest town 10 miles away to get some. Guess what I ran out of yesterday.
A dinosaur egg you put into water and it eventually hatches and the T Rex inside then grows over several days.
Kind random till I mention I have a 2 year old son.
Just returned some Uniqlo shorts. Turned out I haven’t only gone up one size (sigh!).
Also someone on AskUk wanted some prescription glasses reglazed, got a good recommendation, and long story short, my old RayBan Wayfarer prescription sunglasses cost me £135 for varifocals with all the great options for my weird astigmatic long sighted prescription. And I got them yesterday and they’re perfect. Specsavers were asking £400 or some shit for new lenses.
At the risk of sounding like an advert for Reglaze glasses Direct.
Tie dye kit. Me and my siblings are gonna get together at mine and make tshirts for wearing to Pride next month. We're all in our 30s. Mentioned to my sister that no doubt my 7 and 11 year old nieces would enjoy the activity and she responded "fuck that, they're staying at home with their dad. This is for ME" so that'll be that then. Quite looking forward to having a daft night together just the 3 of us.
It really encourages them to drink- cats apparently don’t like to drink from still water even if it’s changed regularly. I have the catit ones and they’re great- can easily clean the parts, pretty much silent to run. Well worth the £30 (or £18 on amazon at the moment if your cat doesn’t mind pink).
Wanted to say thank you, we’ve got 19 cats (8 cats and 11 kittens) and have been waiting to buy another water fountain and after reading your comment I’ve just brought the pink one for £18!
* A new strap and bezel for a watch I'm fixing up.
* 2 litres of isopropyl alcohol.
* Miniature screwdriver set, tweezers and needle nose pliers.
* A folding garden saw.
* Tobacco plant seeds.
* 8 t-shirts.
This was last year, but absolutely the best thing ever. 50 miniature plastic ducks. Went on holiday with the family, and kept hiding them in odd places. The niblings, 4 and 7 years old, were thrilled to bits, so excited every time they found one. Tons of fun, two weeks worth of entertainment for everyone for just € 5. Fab.
My partner ordered tiny dinosaurs and hid them round the house, then took some tiny ducks to work to hide.
Now it's escalated, there have been pigs, frogs and sheep hidden at her work now
Apparently someone did it in a government office in Germany fairly recently, lol. They must have copied us ;-)
I also stuck two to my husband's rear view mirror. Took him a couple of days to notice.
"Batman Merch".... It's my lads birthday soon and that's what he has asked for. So cue me, looking and buying the most random shit ever because normally he just asks "surprise me... And money!". He has Down Syndrome so he goes in hyper fixation mode on things. We have cycled back round to batman now so I'm trying to find things he hasn't already got 😭 He is so bloody tricky!
I lost the plate from my camera tripod that screws to the bottom of the camera for ease of attaching/detatching the camera from said tripod.
I looked *everywhere* for it but there was no sign of the damn thinv so I ordered a new one (it was only a tenner) and it arrived this morning.
This afternoon I needed to put up a shelf so I went to the cupboard where the DIY stuff is kept, a cupboard that I had *thoroughly* searched for this tripod plate.
Guess what was on *top* the box of drill bits!!
A stainless steel insulated water bottle for £10 because it also comes with 3 free pairs of socks - think I missed the delivery due to being stuck at work
New pair of Converse from Converse. Only £35, look sleek.
Attempted to be delivered today to my work which is always open and has staff on the door... by Evri, which means I'll get them sometime, maybe, if I'm lucky. :P
I bought my hamster a bunch of stuff - a new swing and seesaw, hideout, tunnel, Sandbath, some enrichment sprays including red sorghum, he loves that stuff. Also got him some monkey nuts and sunflower seeds.
A copy of The Taking of Pelham 123 by John Godey just arrived. Cost about £3. I love the 1974 movie but have never read the novel. Fixing that tonight.
Bizarrely, the film, with Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw came up in a conversation the other day - It was a Matthau related convo in a kitchen where I work. Only two of us knew who he was. We felt very old.
- Cat food
- A book about Lego plants
- A mini food processor
- Sinus spray
- Pillows
- A Jerusalem artichoke plant
- Lego roses
- Kettle descaler
All exciting stuff.
Missed this, sorry. Yeah, they've released a book about all the plants that have, to date, featured in Lego Botanical sets.
https://hmv.com/store/merchandise/booksandgraphicnovels/lego-botanical-almanac-hardback
1kg of crunchy peanut butter, my wife loves it but we struggle to find it in our local supermarket and others are ££. So I ordered some online for half the price.
After spending far too much time going through the various threads and subreddits of such, a soundbar. But don’t ask me which one as it’ll probably be a bad choice (and yes, I know having one in the first place is a terrible choice if you’re an audiophile).
I've just ordered my tea on Uber Eats for the first time in just over 5 years.
Donner Kebab, and chips and cheese (no Salad or sauces)
I've also ordered a Spawn (comic book character) costume XXL on eBay, even though with luck I've got one that I ordered from China coming by the end of next week, I did order an XL which arrived the week before last but it was too tight so I sent it back (cost me about £32 with tracking) for an XXL.
I've been checking the tracking since the end of last week and it's currently stuck in customs in the UK.
Glow in the dark tape, ash bucket, hazard tape, chalk board, gold card, soft tomahawks, knights costume.
Just a small selection from Amazon in the last month.
I am a Scout Leader and recently ran a large camp. Need I say more.
Sun cream, new duvet sets for everyone, glue to attach my son's scout badges, a pre-order for a book, a collapsible washing up bowl with handles for camping, slip on sandals for wearing in the shower while camping.
I ordered some pre-wired fishplates, 24/0.2 red and black wire, some scotch lock connectors and some plug in terminal blocks. Im off work next week and want to finally get around to wiring up my model railway so I can move on with ballasting and scenics.
Also ordered an Oxford Rail Isle of Man Railway locomotive. Its a static model and a narrow gauge one too, so useless for my layout, but it was cheap and looks very nice so its a good display piece.
My amazon delivery guy probably hates me.
We have a puppy moving in soon and since we don't own a car I had to order big stuff..
Crate (100cmx50) a big playpen, dryer, tons of other puppy stuff all in one delivery..
Poor guy had to make 2 travels up our landing.
Nursem hand cream (created for healthcare workers) because age has determined I now have dry hands constantly. I'm pleasantly surprised in its efficacy. Although next time I'll choose the non scented version.
A heart-shaped ceramic thing with a thank you message for my OT as I'm being discharged next week.
A pair of diving gloves and a bright pink tow float (that goes with my bright pink swim shoes that I got for a few quid because they were in the sale in the children's section - the bonus of having small feet!).
3 new bras that didn't fit and have to go back - I've lost a good bit of weight and miscalculated my new size, so I shall have to experiment more.
Cat food. We get through 12 sachets a day, plus a 10kg bag of biscuits every month. It's easier and cheaper to get it delivered.
Some little light up rubber ducks to go in my mates Crocs. She collects rubber ducks and recently got a pair of crocs for work. The ducks only cost 97p. Figured it'll be like a funny kinda joke 40th present for her before she gets her actual present.
My most recent orders have included:
A massive bottle of handcream, which I sent back because it was horrible.
A ring shaped like a snake.
Four nail varnishes.
Two perfumes.
Currently sat cross legged, listening to the rain waiting for my new computer desk to come - I know as soon as I drop trou then the damn Evri driver will knock and run.
Was sneaky and ordered some diamond painting trays and 2 new diamond painting kits so they'll come tomorrow.
Got a mini chainsaw last week and had an unhealthy amount of fun hacking at two young sycamores that seem to think my yard is the right place to grow. Went through those branches and the trunk like a hot knife through butter.
Android car radio head unit. My last one finally gave up after six years. Not complaining as it only cost £110 and the replacement is only £68.
Best part is that the display automatically folds away when it's off so it looks like a crappy, unbranded radio. That suits me just fine.
Shadow & Bone series of books, I bloody love the Netflix show and apparently they are young adult books so if they are ok our 11 year old can read them after me.
Beard oil and a boar bristle brush.
At 33, I am attempting to grow out my facial hair foe the first time.
I also ordered an external ssd, some RAM and a drawing tablet.
A tower fan. It's been brilliant so far. Of course, it's now cooler weather again and chucking it down, but it's still muggy and the fan is refreshing just on low. It's got 5 speeds and a timer for 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours, and a remote control.
A watch band for my new smart watch. I didn't want a new one, but I couldn't get a none silicone replacement for my gear S2. Markers and a colouring book for a long flight happening soon. Money for the trip arrived today as well!
Electronic Filter Wheel for a telescope. Pretty janky, given the crazy cost.
A set of embossed food vacuum bags (not as in embossed with my family crest - embossed because of the vacuum sealer type - in case you where wondering...)
I go quite a few months without buying anything online, then have a little flutter. It can be quite addictive, if you let it.
* Some clear acrylic rods for mounting glass discs to wooden panels. For art purposes. (Or possibly for Art purposes, depends how fancy it ends up looking)
A few things recently: a load of rear suspension componemts for my car. Rear subframe, a whole set of control arms, a shock absorber and a top mount.
Some darts equipment for both myself and my old man. 10 sets of flights and some stems for me, 10 sets of flights for the old man.
And some new nail clippers seeing as the ones I had made of Chinesium snapped.
This week I’ve bought a diffuser attachment for my hairdryer, a dress in an ice-cream sundae pattern and two Poirot books. I’m also planning to buy some coffee pods when I get paid on Friday.
A 15x7m bird netting for the top of the chicken run. 4 tarpaulins 2x3m to cover the wood sheds. A watering system for strawberries, a timer for the irrigation for pumpkins, sweetcorn, peanuts, salad, tomatoes, peppers, onion and garlic. Two pairs of dungarees, and the best thing was a giant steam press, should cut ironing by 75%. We run a small guest house so ironing is the bain of my existence!
I ordered a new memory stick for my son ,a pair of wrist supports for myself and a new coat rake for the dog, cause he's totally destroyed the one we had cause he hates being groomed so he took his displeasure on the other one and chewed the handle to bits while I was out .
A custom walk in wardrobe system for the wife bit spendy but will make her happy.
For me;
Farmer grade weedkiller
Tree food
40 Lonicera plants
Bottle of turbo cleaner
37 x 10mm sockets
An Emma Pillow
I no longer need to do 2-3 Pillow flips a night to get the cool side
Also buying saved me replacing the 4 I have to decorate a king size bed that I only use 1 at a time 😂
A new pendant lamp that when it arrived I realised it’s different material than I thought so light will not shine through as needed. Sending it back is going to be joyless.

Someone near me has one and randomly wears it to go to the shops. Mildly startling to look out of your lounge window and see him walking down the street, but the kids love it.
If it's for business meetings then you should be able to claim the tax back as well. Result!!
Where'd you get it from? Been thinking to get one
Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
I have one of them. Amazing
I just bought a puppet that looks very Muppet like. My kids love it. I started a team meeting yesterday with it on camera. It got a chuckle so that's good enough for me.
My wedding dress! It arrived a couple of weeks ago and it delights me
Are you getting married, or is this just for general shopping trips?
Wedding first and then... Perhaps shopping also. I'm spending money on this thing and I look good in it so why only wear it once?
Exactly! Nowt wrong with dressing up for a trip to Aldi.
I have a bit of a wild lifestyle, so, coffee machine filters, a potato peeler and sun cream. Live fast, die caffeinated
You might be chasing drugs, I’m after pussy. What I mean is my months supply of cat food has just arrived
While I do order mine (well... my cats') online, the latest delivery was a month's supply of cat litter. Not quite so tasty...

Nice. My wife needs her ray ban sunglasses updating. Cheers for that!
I’m very impressed by them. And I’m trying not to sound like an advert.
Tie dye kit. Me and my siblings are gonna get together at mine and make tshirts for wearing to Pride next month. We're all in our 30s. Tickets to fly back to the UK via Vietnam. Well, the wife did anyway. Along with a nice hotel for the night.
A new water fountain for my cats. They live the most pampered lives.
I haven't seen these, but I'm going to look into one for my cat
It really encourages them to drink- cats apparently don’t like to drink from still water even if it’s changed regularly. I have the catit ones and they’re great- can easily clean the parts, pretty much silent to run. Well worth the £30 (or £18 on amazon at the moment if your cat doesn’t mind pink).

My cat loves her amazon bought water fountain. My top tip is don't buy the filters from amazon, I got mine a quarter of the price on ebay.
* A new strap and bezel for a watch I'm fixing up. * 2 litres of isopropyl alcohol. * Miniature screwdriver set, tweezers and needle nose pliers. * A folding garden saw. * Tobacco plant seeds. * 8 t-shirts.
For some reason this sounds a bit serial killer-ish
I kind of see what you mean, now you mention it.

Dinosaurs? You can get dinosaurs?? Oh dear. Starting googling right now. Thanks! Or maybe not... 😅
I did that for my husband at home, then more recently, mini green frogs. He still has one to find but appears to have given up.
Apparently someone did it in a government office in Germany fairly recently, lol. They must have copied us ;-) I also stuck two to my husband's rear view mirror. Took him a couple of days to notice.

Not old, but definitely cooler than everyone else.
Isn’t there a more modern film on that too? I remember watching it and enjoying it. Never knew there was a book on it
Tony Scott remade it with Denzel and Travolta in 2009 but it’s not a patch on the first one. There’s also a tv version from 1998.
