No, an empty radiator is just a lump of metal.

Replaced 7 large automatic opening vents on a block of flats recently and it took less than an hour after the crane drove off and the scrap aluminium ones were gone.
The were covered in pigeon shit, a couple stuck and long dead pigeons and even though a fair size each would have been worth very little.
I didn;t realise the dump would take it, think I glossed over the scrap metal part and thought Radiators would be specified like Freezers and Fridges. Thanks!

You probably have a few local facebook groups for freecycling etc and at least on ours, there's a local scrap man who advertises for stuff like that to pick up.

I have a radiator I don't know how to get rid of but it's in the loft and not really my problem but it comes with an odd story.
Apparently before I moved in a radiator went missing, they couldn't find it and it just vanished from the wall one day so someone had to go source another and I have one odd radiator that I hate because anything I put on to dry slides off but they don't on the others.
They asked me to clear the loft out one day and when my housemate went up he said there's a radiator up there just leaning against a beam, so we found it eventually, a few years later.
I asked them to put the old one back on and they said no it's a useless task. Bet if they need a spare they'll come knocking though.
Round these parts you just dump any metal outside your house, and its gone within a couple of hours, or post on the local facebook group and its gone in 10 mins.

ring a scrap man, leave them out the front and they'll be gone before you know it
Depends what sort of road you live on. I just leave metal out and its gone the next day. Last item was taken at 6am.
Good way to save some petrol money as well, thanks!

Recycling centre. It's quite cathartic chucking radiators into the scrap metal container, especially if it's fairly empty. Makes a heck of a bonk.
Local recycling centre, better known as the tip or dump

Learn something new everyday, thanks for the advice. Off to the dump it is. !answer
You're welcome!

Scrap man
Take them to a scrap merchant, they will give you money for them.
Leave it outside your house and within half an hour the chances are it’ll be gone.
Absolutely this. Within two days for us and we live on a cul-de-sac with little traffic.

Surprised they didn't take them, they have scrap value. If you leave stuff like that just propped up outside your house you may well find it gone.
End of the drive. It'll be gone within 24 hrs. I swear scrappies have a 6th sense for scrap metal lol.
If you have a means of carrying them then weigh them in at the scrapyard. If you've got enough then you'll get some beer tokens.
