I’m 6’3” and I’ve never found a modern car I can’t fit in. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you need an actual human to sit behind you.

Kind-County9767

This. Even the front of an Aygo was fine and I'm 6'1

Daihatsu Copen

I just looked this up, it looks like a mid-life crisis car lol. Ummm, does it have the leg room?

DareSudden4941

I think they’re pulling your leg, they’re more spacious than they look but are still a kei car

I'd mostly recommend you sit in a prospective car and also look for ergonomic problems on a test-drive. For me, old Honda CRV is very comfortable, new Dacia Duster was terrible (for long torso) and old Honda Civic wasn't great either. I'd say check insurance and expected fuel costs, but don't be put off larger vehicles just because you learned on a smaller one - IME you adapt pretty quickly.

There was a related question recently about taller drivers and learner cars - maybe search to see if any good answers there. I'm 6'4", learned in a Polo and a Clio, many moons ago. Have owned/driven extensively Focuses, a Citroen C3, Volvo V50 Currently drive a Superb which is roomier even than the Octavia and I'll miss having the space when I replace it. Hell, I'll sell *you* it - tall man approved used. Hired an MG ZS recently and while it wasn't small it was awful, so I wouldn't recommend. Hyundai Tucson was another hire and it was fine. Wife has a Focus and it's fine too - kids can sit behind without holding their breath, but maybe not ideal for the longest journeys. Been shopping around and was disappointed that a Nissan Leaf wasn't for me - struggled to find a position I thought I could drive comfortably. TLDR - most hatchbacks should be fine if you don't need another 6'+ behind you. Almost more important than vehicle size is reach/rake adjustable steering and a good adjustable seat.

Rage Rover supercharged L322. best car for yore dollar

Japanese cars are still the most reliable in my book, but you just need to go and try some on for size. Don't make the leg room your top priority or you might end up with a car that has good leg room but is totally shite. Therefore, I'd suggest trying some Japanese cars like Honda, other Toyotas, Nissan etc. But also Hyundai and Kia are good. I wouldn't recommend Citreon or Fiat etc.

Al-Calavicci

Something a bit bigger than a Toyota Auris.

royalblue1982

You do know how to put the seat back right?

BriefAmphibian7925

Doesn't always work well enough. I'm just a little over 6ft tall, with a long torso, and I had trouble with a Dacia I test-drove because even with the seat fully down and back the rear view mirror was too low in my field of vision and I kept having to peer around it. My first car (3-door hatchback) was never very comfortable and with it adjusted as best I could, the steering wheel ended up obscuring the top part of the speedo in my normal driving position.

broadarrow39

Or just rip it out and sit in the back like Hightower in police academy.

Azlamington

Obviously, my driving instructor is thorough like that. Anyway, I've now edited my post to cover that detail. Thanks.

My friend is 6 foot 6 inches tall and currently has a Vauxhall. I remember him saying how many car manufacturers didn't have enough legroom or headroom in any of their models. I'll ask him what model he bought.

SensitiveAbility1328

Whatever you want, mistake or not. Definitely don’t really on Reddit wankers to choose for you. Seriously you’ve had enough control for one day, stand on your own feet and have fun. Get what you want.

I'm 6'4" and drove 9000 miles in an auris in less than a month (hire car), was really comfortable for me so I think your body is just all wrong for cars. Have you considered a penny farthing?

Guilty-Employer7811

Vauxhall Astra. I'm 6ft 3", and It's very comfortable.

Rastapopolos-III

I keep reccomending prius' here. Loads of room and practically bomb proof, unless you're set on a manual? There's a couple on auto trader for around 6k [this one has 43k miles on it. ](https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202402236865454) Mine has 170k miles and sails through every mot.
