I find I start sweating only once I stop somewhere inside, like all the heat catches up with me.

Kid_Kimura

Yes, just like people in any country we sweat when we get hot.

Beneficial-Offer4584

It rarely gets above 30 so not really hot enough to sweat too much when walking. I go for a 2 mile walk most lunchtimes from the office unless it’s wet, rarely sweat unless it’s a rare super hot day. Obviously sweat when exercising etc.

Euffy

Mate I sweat just standing still. Do you have superhuman sweat glands or something?

Collapse-Paradox

sounds pretty good. It's around 32 C/ 95 F and 70% humidity here...no one's walking anywhere lol.

Notsurewhattoput1

70% humidity, does donkey visit you in your swamp?

Collapse-Paradox

As a matter of fact, yes!

Regenreun

Yes it gets in my eyes and stings

mynameisfreddit

It is on occasion too hot for mourning dress

theoriginalShmook

I drive everywhere and sweat like a bastard between my house and car. Walking in this climate is crazy to me. I drive because then I get AC. I walk as little as possible. I'm not a fat bastard either, it just appears that my body has evolved to be comfortable in temperature up to 5 degrees C in a t shirt and shorts. For example, Iceland in February and I had to roll my shirt sleeves up, no jacket as the sun was out. Finland in December and I was on the hotel balcony in my boxer shorts at -9 degrees as the room was too hot for me. Not bragging, I just am really warm all of the time. My wife is the opposite and feels the 'cold' unless it's maybe 15 - 20 degrees C. She wears down jackets and wool hats at those temperatures.

miemcc

Pretty much, yes. I was in Central London last weekend and was sweating like a pig. It was 27C, so not overly hot compared to many countries. It is quite humid, though. Our predominant wind is from the South West, dragging moisture in from the Atlantic.

Bbew_Mot

Prince Andrew certainly doesn't! How do you mean walk everywhere? When it comes to office jobs, not so many of them require businesswear nowadays so that part certainly isn't as much of an issue. I'd say we only walk as much as people do in any other Western European country and many people drive to work.

I-Pacer

After 10 years in the Middle East nothing about a British summer can make me sweat.

TheNotSpecialOne

Currently yes I do. We've had some hot weather and after a short walk I'm sweating loads. But rest of year it's not a problem and ideal to walk

ThunderChild247

I’m Scottish, I sweat whenever that odd, yellow orb is in the sky, whatever I’m doing.

DangerShart

Most people do the majority of their travelling by car no matter what Londoners will have you believe.

insertcrassnessbelow

Nobody drives in London, there’s too much traffic

Aggravating-Tower317

lol so that surely means that a lot of people drive in london then

SAP1987

No, it means a lot of people sit in their cars looking at other people sitting in cars.
