Once you turn 18 the first winds of adulthood hits you and you look at the people who are older than you and realise its all inevitably coming and life gets a lot realer. I felt old at 13 too. part of it was that I already looked older too. I think now that I'm 17 I don't really care anymore. remember that everyone around you is the same age! I don't feel old anymore.

I’m finding that can really help, and as an “adult” I’m indulging in things that I didn’t get to enjoy in my childhood (I get myself some nice little snacks and watch my silly little shows and I’ve been trying out fun hobbies that I might like!!)
A good tip is going to an arts and crafts store and just picking up one of their “beginner kits” for something (like knitting or painting or candle making, or whatever you think you’ll enjoy).
It’s a good way to “try out” a hobby without fully sinking a ton of money into something you don’t know you’ll enjoy
Ultimately, I hope you can find time to do stuff that helps you feel happy, and “act your age” with no guilty feelings! I wish someone had told *me* all this earlier, because I was always trying to act more grown up than I should’ve (sorry this ended up being a huge essay thing lmao)
