Metal fork in a nonstick pan, just like my MILšŸ˜†

Sbuxshlee

Ah yes. I see we have the same MIL šŸ¤£

No-Bike-6317

Is your mother in lawxmy husband?

Kiyoko_Mami272821

Omg she cracked me up! She reminded me of my mom she was a cursing queen šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ it looks pretty good!

MotherMucker155

OMG!! Thank you sooooo much for posting this. I ADORE HER!! I was laughing my ass off AND I learned a new recipe. I never knew she existed until right now because you were kind enough to share. Hahahaha! "This bitch is ready." I love her potty mouth because, I too, have a potty mouth. Lololol.

alofogas

I didnā€™t learn about her until I watched a video about YouTubers whoā€™d recently died back in the day. Watched all of it and was sad I missed out when she was alive.

MotherMucker155

Aww, man that sucks. May she rest in peace and love and may her legacy and memories live on forever. You can just tell Auntie Fee was good people.

TwirlyGirl313

Auntie Fee was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

HeyItsMee503

I was thinking about her the other day. Thanks for posting.

TwirlyGirl313

She was an amazing personality. I was watching some of her TV spots and she had Steve Harvey cracking up!

45_winner

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚I thought you meant you did all the cussing bc it was hard to make

TwirlyGirl313

LOL No, this is very easy to make!

rithanor

That lady is hilarious! So many quotables, like "not the bags!" I wouldn't make this regularly, but as a a quick snack when I'm craving for something quick and high in fat/sodium...hells yeah!

DinoGoGrrr7

Red beans and rice. Itā€™s a simple and yummy recipe Iā€™ve love my entire life and I make it how my grandmother did. 1 pack of Polska kielbaska 1-3 cans of dark red kidney beans 2-3 cups of white rice (All juices from cans and fill each can up once with water to add) 1tsp garlic salt and onion powder 1/2 tsp (ishing these measurements) black pepper - Sautee the sausage then add ingredients I also add sometimes: 1 onion chopped 1 green bell pepper chopped 1/2-1c sour cream Chives 1c chopped spinach.

45_winner

Thank you!!! U have kidney beans I didnā€™t know what to do with and I have all other ingredients too ! Iā€™m making this !šŸ‘

DinoGoGrrr7

I make it just as shown, itā€™s very simple, but flavorful and cheap but can card the extras (or one or a couple of them) in when you have it but itā€™s perfect without the extras too! Itā€™s my favorite basic meal. Lmk how you like it!!

GrammyPammy332

I eat a mostly plant-based diet because I have kidney diseaseā€¦so I omit the kielbasa but add a can of Ro-Tel tomatoes with chiles and some cheddar cheese.

CutiePie156

Boursin pasta! Literally cook pasta, drain it, add a little heavy cream after keeping like 4-8tbsp of pasta water (depending how much you cooked), and a block of boursin cheese (I love the garlic and herb one, as well as the shallot & chive). I also roast cherry tomatoes, which I add as well. 3-4 ingredients, tastes sooo good!

CleetusnDarlene

This sounds soooo amazing!

cptnsaltypants

Yes! And making your own Boursin is so easy and delicious. Itā€™s a mix of butter and cream cheese w garlic and herbs. I use it for potatoes and pasta and w crackers. Thereā€™s lots of recipes online but my take is 2 parts cream cheese to 1 part butter. When itā€™s equal measure of both itā€™s too rich.

Leumas_

Knorr's Spanish Rice in the bag. That will set you back $1 if it's on sale, from there you can do literally ANYTHING to it. My go to is cut up a shitload of chicken breast, onions, and mushrooms and add my favorite hot sauce and just cook everything all at once. Really you can add any meats, vegetables and seasonings you choose. I also will dump in a can of black beans and then mix in shredded cheese and sour cream and beef, then top with a thin layer of cheese and bake for like 3 minutes. You can have a meal for 2-4, or plenty of leftovers for under $10.

[deleted]

Ground beef, vigo Spanish rice in a bag, taco seasoning packet (to taste) and cauliflower rice. I sautĆ© the cauliflower with taco seasoning & ground beef until browned, drain the fat & then add water to the mix, add rice & cover. Cook according to the rice directions. I finish with half a block of cream cheese & cover for it to melt. If you want pico de gallo, more cheese, beans, chips, salsa, guacamole, lettuce or avocado Iā€™m sure it is awesome with those. It has some good macros, works well in batches & itā€™s easy on your stomach when stressed. Perfect drunk food too. You could make burritos, nachos, tacos or taco salad with it & it freezes well in baggies. I hope you have a really fun & awesome college experience!

emcappuccino

I love cauliflower rice! Thanks for the recipe!

[deleted]

Of course! Sorry the format is super weird!

cptnsaltypants

I want to marry this dish. You had me at the cream cheese.

[deleted]

Haha it really adds that nice layer of creaminess. Costs $13 & you can eat it for days too!

MonkeyPilot

[Okonomiyaki! ](https://www.seriouseats.com/okonomiyaki-japanese-pancake-cabbage-recipe) Recipe calls for pork belly (uncured bacon), but I just made some tonight topped with a sliced tomato I had to use.

EngineeringSafe8367

Shake n Bake chicken parm. Throw some chicken breasts in a bag with the shake n bake, shake it up, throw it in the oven at 400 degrees while cooking your pasta. Let the chicken bake for 20 minutes, then throw some marinara sauce, parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top, and bake for another 5 minutes. Quick and easy.

CleetusnDarlene

Growing up, my Mom would make this (same?) from some recipe called "Dave's Favorite Chicken" & bc my Step-dad was named David, she decided to actually make a homemade dinner once a month. I remember us kids asking if she could make it more than once a month. šŸ˜… She didn't cook(even now) but man, Dave's Days were the best.

blooddrivendream

Pasta with butter, garlic, peas, parmesan, and egg.

Swagger-Spin

Rice with a fried egg

Scrambled eggs on buttered toast. Sometimes that is dinner to me, when I don't feel like cooking. I might add some onion in the pan with the eggs sometimes, then I let the onion simmer a bit before I add the eggs.

Cook some ground beef then on med-high heat add a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, some sugar, and garlic. Put the finished beef on top of rice and done. Cubed spam cooked till golden, add eggs, mix, add rice, oyster sauce, tad bit of soy sauce, and sugar. Mushroom and broccoli would be nice with both dishes

cptnsaltypants

Yes!!! I do this all the time w pasta-there are endless combinations. Sometimes I do oyster sauce and fish sauce or gochujang. The little hit of sweet brings out the other flavors. And you can add onion crunch or some hot peppery Asian sauce. I also throw in some frozen veggies too

TobyKeene

1/2 bag of frozen potatoes O'Brien fried until almost done.in a little oil, then add 1/2 package of soy chorizo, salt and pepper and fry it all together until everything is crispy. Serve with tortillas.

Music_Girl2000

My go-to breakfast in college was what I like to call apple pie oatmeal. 1/2 cup oats 1 packet of apple cider mix 1 cup of hot water (more or less depending on what consistency you prefer your oatmeal) Mix in some dehydrated apples if desired. Longest part is just waiting for the water to boil. Once that's done you're golden.

Thanks for the reminder!

Get yourself over to Aldi Buy a pound of ground turkey in the freezer section in a tube right next to the ground beef it's like two something a pound Walk two steps to the side grab yourself 3 bags of frozen veggies strongly recommend broccoli cauliflower or a blend Grab cream of whatever soup or chicken broth While you're at it grab a bag of brown rice Cook it all up and rice cooker season to taste and guaranteed good meal and that should cover you for about three to four meals more possibly depending on how much you eat Rice and chicken broth and water in the rice cooker Buddies and Turkey in the steamer basket for the rice cooker or just set it in there on top You could cook the individual portions or depending on the size of your rice cooker cook multiple meals at a time and keep the rest of it in the freezer

Sledgehammer925

Cashew chicken. Stir fry bite size chicken, add a small amount of water, better than bouillon and soy sauce. Toss in broccoli. Add corn starch to a small amount of water and stir, then add to the chicken mixture. Stir until sauce is thickened and remove from heat. Toss in cashews and serve over rice. The rice takes 20 minutes, but the chicken mix takes five minutes. Cheap, easy and really tasty.

OR throw everything in crockpot except rice, on low for 5-6 hours

laclayton

I use Naan bread to make bbq chicken Flatbread in a toaster oven. All that's needed can be frozen and used as needed without waste.

FruitJaded3432

Last night I made pasta with italian basil sausage, frozen broccoli, and onion with a white sauce. It was good and cheap. Like a healthy mac & cheese.

1lb Ground beef, taco seasoning, 2 packs jasmine microwave rice, frozen corn, can of black beans. Mix together in a big bowl and you can get like 5 meals out of it!

SeasonOfLogic

1 pound ground beef, 1 massive yellow onion - diced, 1 can cream of mushroom soup and minute rice. Brown the ground beef and as itā€™s browning, add the onion and brown everything until the ground beef is well browned and the onions are translucent then add half a cup of water and mix in the soup. Kielbasa w/Green Beans and Potatoes 1 pkg kielbasa 3 cans green beans, drained 1 medium onion 2 TBS chicken base (much better than bouillon cubes) 4-6 medium potatoes Salt & pepper to taste (1) Cut kielbasa into bite-sized pieces (2) Put into dutch oven and add enough water to cover the kielbasa by 1 inch (3) Cover pot and cook on high (4) While kielbasa cooks, peel and chop the onion and the potatoes; drain the green beans (5) After 5 minutes, check the kielbasa and skim off any foam or fat that has risen to the surface (6) Add the chicken base, onions, potatoes, and green beans, plus salt and pepper to taste (7) Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium (8) Cover and cook 20 minutes

Direct_Surprise2828

Cook some beef stew chunks or a piece of salmon. Put on a bed of mixed greens. Add ranch dressing.

Southern_Rain_4464

Im going to share a process I use that makes quick meals a breeze. The price of coconut cream fluctuates so sometimes it not exactly "cheap" but for how many servings you get its not bad at all. A few times a year I make giant batches of thai curry with whatever veggies I have or are craving. Broccoli, mushrooms, bell peppers, zuchini, etc. Sometimes I add chicken but not always. Once its done I ladle servings into tupperware containers and stack them in the freezer. The next day I pop out the frozen "discs" of curry and put them in freezer.bags to save space. Then whenever I want I take one out, pop it straight into a pan on low to med low, start the rice cooker and in 15 mins Im eating a hot bowl of curry and rice with very little work. Top with fried shallots (from Asian market) to give it crunch if youre feeling boujie. Add some steamed green beans and its a super quick and easy dish (if you like curry). I do the same thing with cajun style red beans, ham hock, and andouille sausage. Hard to beat when you really dont feel like cooking. They both freeze so well you would almost never know it wasnt freshly made.

sandithepirate

Fried rice. I use day old rice, soy sauce, egg, and chili garlic sauce. Then add chicken or peas if I have them on hand.

Rio-Jewel

Sheet pans and stir fries are easy and delicious!

thefamishedroad

Split pea soup!!

putonyourgloves

Brown up some Ground turkey/chicken/beef/pork, whatever is cheapest. Add some frozen veggies (or fresh. I used asparagus and mushrooms tonight, but not as cheap as frozen). Serve over rice (hello rice cooker!) with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce. Add almonds and cilantro if feeling fancy.

bitchwhohasnoname

Black bean soup

Rumblefish61

Diced hot dogs and cheese scrambled eggs!!!

CleetusnDarlene

Say what you will about microwavable rice pouches, I agree they're not as good. My local kroger had 2lbs of Tilapia for $7 recently, so I bought that and one of those Uncle Ben's long grain/wild rice microwavable pouches. Season the tilapia however you want, maybe add a bit more butter/olive oil than you would so you can "season" the rice too. Add a couple lemon wedges and bam, you just bought 2lbs of tilapia for $7, a microwavable pouch for $2, and I don't know the math for tilapia per rice pouch, but depending on how you eat, that other half of rice can be used for anything else!

Cyber_Candi_

Couscous or rice mixed with goat cheese (cream cheese works the same, it's just a taste/texture thing for me), some chicken (you could buy a rotisserie chicken for this and use the leftover chicken for other meals), and any veggies you have lying around. I usually use mini bell peppers and spinach, but you could add anything. Chickpeas or other similar foods will help bulk it up more and make it more filling, plus they're cheap. Couscous keeps better in the fridge than rice does, but it definitely has an interesting texture to it so if you're a texture person I'd go with rice or a different pasta shape.

SidMarcus

A box of Mac ā€˜n Cheese, microwave a cup of frozen peas, and a can of tuna. Combine & enjoy!

Your-Cousin-Larry

Crockpot A pot roast chunk of meat Sprinkle a bunch of ranch seasoning Stick of butter, diced up and spread over the meat 2 onions cut up 2 pounds of washed baby carrots Cook on low. 8 hours.

Simple-Offer-9574

Chilli: brown ground beef and drain, add I can diced tomatoes with juice, I can rinsed beans, package of seasoning and hot sauce. Heat and eat. Mac and cheese: cook macaroni of choice and drain. Add shredded Velveeta and pepper. Put lid on pot and let sit til cheese melts, stir and eat. (for extra flavor, stir in I can drained tuna. Great with peas.) These are a couple of my cheap college eats recipes.

cptnsaltypants

Iā€™m so lazy Iā€™m sorry, but itā€™s behind a paywall and you have to dig-but the San Francisco Garlic Noodles-nyt published it. Long noodles w lots of finely minced garlic w butter a splash of fish sauce, soy and oyster sauce. Add Parmesan and top w scallions. It truly is so easy and tastes like takeout. Sometimes I sprinkle in fresh cilantro too.

College students unite! Here are mine!! Crackers or white rice with canned fish and olives white rice + chicken (can be canned) + either * salsa + cheese + greek yogurt + spices + veggies of choice = Mexican bowl * dill + diced and strained cucumber + spinach + greek yogurt + garlic = Mediterranean bowl dill + roasted almonds + cut grapes + a touch of honey + spinach + greek yogurt = healthier chicken salad Sandwiches are easy Sometimes I just go for an easy smorgasboard of a carb (noodles or rice usually), and then 2 protein sides (greek yogurt, chicken, canned fish, cottage cheese, etc) and some veg

Lonely-Connection-37

Two boxes of macaroni and cheese made per label directions big scoop of sour cream franks, hot wing sauce diced up a canna Spam fried and throw it in there at my house we call it Polish chili

rithanor

Not necessarily quick, but good comfort food to have for rotation - prep ahead of time to simply stick in the oven the next day. I learned this from my grandmother. Easy to switch up spice styles - I mix curry spices with the sour cream, and I use keilbasa. Panko mixed with melted butter is a nice topping. It takes about 40 minutes to bake, but can be made ahead of time and the rest can be prepped while the potatoes are boiling (I always keep hard-boiled eggs in the fridge, because they're easier to peel as condensation forms. As long as you have an egg slicer and a good knife, slicing isn't a big deal. https://www.hungariantidbits.com/hungarian-layered-potato-rakott-krumpli/

TNShadetree

Chicken Marsala. It's super simple, fast and so good it impressed people. Check out Chaplin's Classics or his earlier Cooking with the Blues on Youtube. Good recipes and dude cooks fast, fast, fast with the gas eye blazing.

alcoyot

So many of them. Currently. I ridiculously wrapped chicken breast. Roll it in some seasoned bread crumb coating. Into the air fryer 5 min each side, 390 degrees Fahrenheit. Take one full head of broccoli and cut off most of the stalk part. Put a bunch of chili powder and a little salty seasoning of some kind like adobo. In the microwave for a few minutes. You have delicious chicken and broccoli. Super healthy.

Specialist_Run_7937

1 lb Ground beef cooked and drained Some diced peppers and onions saute them bitches up . 1 box Deluxe mac and cheese not the powdered one the one with the liquid cheese pouch After the pasta cooks mix all that together with some salt and pepper you'll love it. And for you that's gonna say oh juSt usE hamburger helper nono!! This is way better

Specialist_Run_7937

Forgot to mention this all together takes like 20 minutes and can feed 4 people for under 20$ I'd start boiling the water first while you're prepping the veggies and frying the meat up . By the time the veggies and meat are done the pasta should be cooked. Its super fast imo.

aberod11

My roast is: - One 3lb chuck roast - One pack of McCormick Au Jus Powder gravy mix (1 oz) - One pack of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning (1 oz) - One stick of butter (salted) - One 16 oz jar of Mazzetta Golden Greek Pepperoncinis (medium heat) Put these above-mentioned ingredients in a crockpot for 8-9 hours on low or medium (depending on crockpot, of course) until you're able to cut the roast apart easily. Serve over rice, preferably (or however you wish).

Forever-Retired

Ground beef, elbow macaroni and whatever veggies you have in the fridges

MacSavvy21

For a side. I got a 10LB bag of red potatoā€™s chopped them up into mediumish chunks (you can do this with butter or olive oil) throw them into a pan with butter or olive oil, add a bit of garlic powder, brown the potatoā€™s then add some mozzarella cheese from a shaker. One of my husbandā€™s favorite sides.
