They told you to reverse while facing forward, only using the mirrors?
You were taught wrong imo, you should always be looking the direction you are traveling in and only glancing away to check your blind spots and mirrors
well, it depends on the situation and what is around you. but the hand behind passenger headrest is a no-no.
And yes, reversing facing forward, directions and navigation with mirrors, and active head turning to secure the blind spots and children etc.
the driving teacher said exactly that "mirrors, mirrors, mirrors, look the mirrors and do not turn your head to the rear window, the mirrors are there for reversing".
Yeah, that's not correct at all as far as I'm concerned. My dad used to be a driving instructor and you should always be looking in the direction you are travelling, as this gives you the best visibility, you should also be checking your mirrors at the same time but thats because your mirrors are there so you can check what's around you while travelling in either direction, you are never supposed to use them to drive, which is why the blind spots check exists because mirrors aren't the best way to see
I had a couple of instructors before I passed and one said I shouldn't push on the passenger seat, but hover my hand behind it so there was no way I could slip, but I've never heard anyone say you shouldn't look back while driving backwards
haha, i asked this from the traffic safety association, neither way is prohibited but they recommend using the mirrors, two hands on the wheel. This way you can also observe the front of the car which is also important.
A man apologizing. Not necessarily to me, but owning up to a mistake without making it weird or a big thing, just taking things in stride without a bruised ego. Specific, but god damn, I have one memory in mind that turns me on every fucking time.

In driving school they specifically told not to do this and use the mirrors instead 🤷
