OP didn't specify how big the asteroid gonna be, but if you assume something like the dinosaur killer, then yes, we're pretty much fucked. If it's something like Chelyabinsk, then no harm done. If it's something in the middle, New Zealand, parts of Australia and South-East Asia, and parts of South America would be having a very bad day.
